Create item record from invoice line
We would like the ability to create an item record from an invoice line in Leap. This is especially useful when manually building invoices, and can be done in the staff client.

Greater specificity in Weeding Record set red toasts
When scanning materials into a weeding-type record set, the system throws (broadly) two types of toasts - yellow and red. The yellow toasts very helpfully specify in what exact manner the given item does not match weeding criteria filters. However, the red toasts (excluding "Barcode is invalid" and the indication an item is already in a weeding record set) do not specify in what exact manner the given item falls outside the inclusion criteria.
For especially complex weeding criteria, this can make for one heck of a slog through the item record, and subsequently the attached bibliographic record, to identify…

Ability to bulk change item templates
Currently, there is no way in the UI to bulk change item templates. They need to be edited one at a time. It would be great if these could be bulk changed just like item records.

Filter by Patron Selection Only in Outreach Services Utility
It would help speed things up if the way we can filter by Active and Inactive patrons for Outreach could also be done with the Patron Selection Only checkbox with something like a yes/no drop down. We could more easily focus on patrons that need the extra attention.

set catalog website for specific library
For library consortiums, it would be helpful for individual libraries to set their webpage catalog to just show items in their library. Patrons have the opportunity to put a REQUEST on items from their home library OR go to the full consortium catalog to see if an item is available and request an item from there. It is very confusing for patrons to see multiple items, e.g. a hardcover and paperback of the same book in the catalog. They request one but it may not be their library's copy. Wastes time and resources. We used to be able to do…

Indicate count adjustment when filtering a record set, retrieval etc. in Leap.
When looking at a large (or even a smaller record set or list of records of any kind in leap), it would be incredibly helpful to see the new count when adding a filter. For example, I I have a record set of 10,000 items with mixed circ statuses and I want to see how many items in that record set are checked out, It would be great if when I type checked out into the filter, it would say (similar to the count only in the Find Tool) something like 300 of 10,000), similar to the way Picklist does.

Option to Display Description and Comments for MARC Tooltips
It's possible the Description and Comments configured for MARC validation display somewhere else already, but it would be nice if there were a couple of buttons to display that data in the MARC tooltips. The Description would be helpful for any tags that aren't used regularly or for staff with limited familiarity with MARC formats while the Comments could be useful in communicating local cataloging policies. Bonus points if we could allow staff with the appropriate permissions to edit the Description and Comments directly in the tooltip. It's not a particularly good example, but you could include something like "Please…

Allow customers to set/adjust Preferred Name via MY Account in PAC
Currently, staff can set a preferred name for customers but customers can only do so themselves during their initial self registration (we use Quipu's eReg). It would be great if customers could make preferred name adjustments on their own even after registration, via My Account.
Functionally, this could entail a check box that they wish to use a different name and, when they do this, it would automatically duplicate the existing values in their required name fields into the Name on ID fields and then allow the edit to Required name field. This would be an especially helpful option for…

Provide export option for hold unclaimed from Picklist
This would enhance staff ability to isolate items requiring action, particularly when unscheduled closures impact hold until dates and for special programs that have different parameters.

Place multiple holds for one patron in a purchase order
It would be very helpful if Polaris had an option to be able to highlight multiple titles in a purchase order whether in the pending process or released process by being able to select multiple titles, right click, and PLACE multiple holds for one patron.

Standard Identifier Number search option in Leap
In the client, you can do a bibliographic search by "standard identifier number" and it searches a bunch of different possible fields (the corresponding power search: (((ISBN="1234" OR ISSN="1234") OR (OSI="1234" OR STRN="1234")) OR (((PN="1234" OR CODEN="1234") OR OCN="1234") OR (SOA="1234" OR UPC="1234*")))). We would also like to see this option in Leap.
Currently, staff don't get results for a scanned barcode unless they choose the correct field to search and the indicators in the record are properly set. This means they often get no results and incorrectly assume we don't have…

When receiving items in ASN, check immediately if there's an invoice to generate
When receiving cartons in ASN, it would be nice if Polaris would check immediately if there's an invoice to generate instead of either a. going to the process EDI invoices work form to find and generate it manually, or b. waiting until the next day when the EDIAgent runs again.

Update SIP to handle foreign characters (diacritics)
SIP should handle foreign characters (diacritics) correctly. When a patron's name or an item's title has a diacritic then it throws an error. For some vendors, it breaks the application and prevents customers from logging in and/or accessing their checked out or held items.

Ability to limit the "Number of days past first available" setting to the branch level only.
The "Number of days past first available" setting was developed specifically for the issue where libraries would like the new item's hold requests to be limited to only patrons registered at the item’s assigned branch and other branches associated with the same parent library for a specified number of days. We would like to try this workflow, however, it won't work in our system as all of our branches are under the same library organization.

Bulk waive criteria should allow user to specify maximum or minimum amount of charge to be waived
The new(ish) bulk waive options in Leap are extremely useful, but library administrators often want to waive charges of a certain amount - usually "waive all charges of less than X dollars." The current interface, however, doesn't allow the user to specify an amount for the charge to be waived. This would be very useful and would avoid the need for creating a SQL statement to identify such charges. The scenario of waiving all charges greater than a given amount is less likely, but if you're adding the ability to specify a maximum, why not add the option for a…

Add the ability to round all prices to nearest nickel
With the production of pennies ending, we've had some discussion around prices in Polaris. Ideally, we would like to see some method of optionally having all prices (item prices and fines) rounded to the nearest nickel. We haven't run into any problems yet, but as pennies eventually become more scarce, we suspect that we'll have trouble with cash payments.

Vendor-Profile SIP2 Due Date Formatting
In the i-tiva 3.0 dial-in process, there are menu navigation issues caused by a SIP2 Due Date (AH field) formatting issue. These issues cause the dial-in process to fail.
In SIP2 message 18 (Item Information), Polaris is currently returning the Due Date in the following format:
DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS
Because the SIP2 standard does not define or enforce a required date format, i-tiva relies on vendor-compatible parsing. i-tiva has confirmed that this specific format is not parsed correctly and results in call-flow failures.
i-tiva supports the following date formats, any of which would resolve the issue:
• DD/MM/YYYY
• D-M-YY

LEAP: Change status from checkout to Lost or Damage in an item's record
A patron doesn't have their library card number on hand, can there be a way to change the circ status to lost from the item record so the replacement cost can be automatically be charged to the current patron's record? At least from the owning library's side, I understand messing with anything in the 'Details' tab shouldn't be done by another library. Hopefully, it can be done with less hoops to jump through by going through the item history and making sure to select the correct patron or hitting any of the other tabs.
