  1. We had a patron complaint that the email notices do not include magazine issue information, only the main title. The notices also do not include item barcodes, so there isn't any data to match against a specific issue. Could information from the Issue field in the item record be displayed in overdue notices?

  2. It would be helpful for our system to have a reminder notice similar to patron registration expiration. We want to be able to send a notice yearly for patrons to come in ad update their address and contact information. Many of our libraries want to offer long term library card privileges, therefore patrons wouldn't get the expiration notices regularly.

  3. Would be nice to have the option to set parameters for hard bounced emails in LX Starter. For example, set the note in the patron record to a blocking note and check the exclude from email notices box to avoid repeated hard bounces of the same email. This would save staff time.

  4. Now that we are adding some additional marketing content to Hold Pickup Notices, it would be helpful to improve the data on the Performance tab for the notice. Currently, there is a massive list of links with the number of people and clicks next to each. This list seems to be for all time so it is difficult to guage the affectiveness of a specific version of the notice template. Since we are updating notices monthly it would be helpful to be able to filter the data to see clicks from a specific time period (to get information about engagement…

  5. As a consortium admin, there is no direct way to navigate back to the consortium settings after entering the library settings. Instead, you have to have the consortium settings bookmarked or go to the URL and delete the library from the URL. It would be helpful if a Consortium Settings option was added to the account dropdown menu.

  6. In addition to adding an option to send notices consortia-wide, it would also be helpful to be able to create notice templates for consortia members that could be lightly customized by each library.

  7. Currently, I look at Notice Activity for each day to track how many notices of each type are sent, delivered, bounced, etc. I record this in excel for reference.

It would be wonderful to receive a daily report of activity by email or to be able to schedule a report to be emailed at a desired interval (ie. daily/weekly/monthly).

  9. Users with Super Admin or Consortium Super Admin roles will have the option to enable 2 factor authentication for all users or no users.

When 2 factor authentication is enabled, it will require all users to go through an additional security step in order to login (for example: entering a code sent to the user's email address).

  10. Mask all patron barcodes throughout LX Starter.

Only Super Admin, Admin, and Consortium level user roles can unmask the barcode while viewing a patron record.

For all other roles barcode will remain masked and there will be no way to unmask it.

  11. Once Sierra delivers the item cost in overdues, LX Starter will be able to include individual item cost in overdue notices.

  12. Currently, the notices for Current Checked Out Items allows for daily or weekly scheduling, but it would be handy to have the ability to set this at a longer time frame such as monthly, quarterly or by semester as most of our materials check out for much longer periods of time (16 weeks or longer generally), and some users find the weekly reminders tedious.

Either the option to set the automated notices to a longer time period, or the ability for patrons to choose a longer reminder period (opt in to weekly, monthly, etc notice) would be very helpful.

  13. Add the ability to create a template specifically for repeated bills. This would allow us to send a different message for a reminder bill than what we sent in the original bill. This is would be similar to how we are able to create different templates for 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc Overdue Notices.

  14. LX starter provides more notice templates than any libray likely uses.

At the Super Admin view, you should be able to supress view access to sites for all templates that are not supported by loan rules and or local polices.

At the site Admin the same should be available - the site admin should be able to suppress the menu items that are not relevant

All staff should be ablet to organize their own menu view of templates, or default to the edit date.

  15. The ability to retry sending a notice after you update an email address. I deal with student patron records. We send all notices to the students email accounts - however, after they are no longer a student there student email is shut off. However, many if not all of them have alternative email addresses in their student records. So we could resend the notice to the alt-email.

  17. Something in LXStarter that might direct staff back to the ILS to troubleshoot or update things not handled directly by LXStarter... for instance the Notices function in Sierra, that determines which notices the ILS will queue up/run.

Just as a prompt to ensure staff adding or updating notices will know to check that system function during troubleshooting before escalating and sending in a support ticket.

Like a pop when you publish a notice... Check ILS Notices to ensure this notice is Enabled and Scheduled.

  18. Please add essential merge tags—"Reason", "Additional Information", and "Charging Library/Branch"—to the Manual Bill feature in LX Starter for Polaris libraries. These tags are fundamental to our billing processes and are conspicuously absent, impeding our ability to relay comprehensive billing details to patrons as is standard in Polaris' Manual Bill, as per the documentation in Polaris Staff Client Help - Bill a charge manually to a patron account (https://documentation.iii.com/polaris/7.5/Default.htm#PolarisStaffHelp/Patron_Services/PPuseacct/BillChargeManu.htm)

It's also come to our attention that Sierra libraries are encountering similar issues with missing merge tags, as highlighted in the idea titled "Library Name, Library Address, Branch Name, Branch…

  19. Add notices for Interlibrary loan to LX Starter. Patrons are commonly ignoring ILL pickup notices. A flashier email might grab their attention.

  20. There's a need for different blocks within the Almost Due / Auto Renew notice.
The top block should group all the items that failed to renew and are due soon. The second block should group all the items that renewed and are due later.
