Use the same patron record field for email address(es) as defined in Admin Corner
Since Sierra permits libraries to define an alternative variable-length field tag to reference for the patron email address – see attached Admin Corner screenshot – LX Starter should either follow the same customization or at least permit its redundant definition in the LX Starter configuration.
As much as we would like to switich to LX Starter for notices, we cannot move forward until the product supports this same customization.

Notices - Send notices based on review file
The notices function is very useful, but limited. We are only able to communicate with patrons through Sierra on a few occasions. It would be wonderful to be able to send/print notices based on a review file. This way, we could communicate with patrons via Sierra for numerous reasons. My inspiration for this is to send notices just before a patron library account expires. Previously, we haven't had a standardized way to alert patrons to their impending expiration.
Idea Value
Sending notices to this effect would prevent service disruptions, promote patron retention, and promote good-will among patrons.40 votesThe ability to send a message to a selected group of patrons is planned as future functionality in LX Starter.

Alert patrons when their card will expire
Alert patrons to their accounts expiring 30 days before expiration date.
This would be extra helpful with 50% of our circulation being handled through self-check machines.
Idea Value
This is an issue, especially with self-checkouts and the system using patron expiration date as the due date. Patrons are familiar with the check out times and do not pay attention to their expiration date and then they accumulate a fine.64 votesThis will be a part of the Renewal Journey feature
