Send test form requires the item's check digit be removed-too confusing
When sending a test email from the design space in LX Starter, the user is required to enter item Record ID(s). The form accepts item records only if the check digit is removed. It would be preferred to have the item record entered as it is shown to staff in the record or by using a barcode. Currently the form offeres no instruction to drop the last digit. Not all library staff would know about check digits or think to remove it. The form should not require manipulation for entry. With the patron ID at least the option for barcode…

Add Navigation Back to Consortium Settings in Account Dropdown
As a consortium admin, there is no direct way to navigate back to the consortium settings after entering the library settings. Instead, you have to have the consortium settings bookmarked or go to the URL and delete the library from the URL. It would be helpful if a Consortium Settings option was added to the account dropdown menu.

Add option to use patron's preferred name in notices
Currently LX Starter uses the "n" field in Sierra to pull patron first name. Some patrons want to be addressed by their preferred name, not their legal name. Our library would like to offer this more personalized experience, so it would be good if there were a choice in which merge tag LX Starter uses for names.

Copy block from one library to another
We are a consortium with many libraries. We are setting up the notices for all of our libraries. It would save so much time if we could copy a block from one library to use for another. We would then just need to change the Logo.

Add item cost in overdue notices for Sierra
Once Sierra delivers the item cost in overdues, LX Starter will be able to include individual item cost in overdue notices.

link back to ILS for notice settings not included in LXStarter
Something in LXStarter that might direct staff back to the ILS to troubleshoot or update things not handled directly by LXStarter... for instance the Notices function in Sierra, that determines which notices the ILS will queue up/run.
Just as a prompt to ensure staff adding or updating notices will know to check that system function during troubleshooting before escalating and sending in a support ticket.
Like a pop when you publish a notice... Check ILS Notices to ensure this notice is Enabled and Scheduled.

Link Patron Registration form address entry to external address database
When considering features for the upcoming LX Starter patron registration form, something we desperately need is a feature that will standardize address entry. Several commercial websites do this by using an external address database like USPS to autofill the address after a customer starts typing the address. It shows a dropdown of valid addresses, and if the typed in address does not match a valid address, it asks, use this address instead?
This is by far more valuable to our library than address verification features that other vendors offer.7 votes -

Address Check Date reminder notice
It would be helpful for our system to have a reminder notice similar to patron registration expiration. We want to be able to send a notice yearly for patrons to come in ad update their address and contact information. Many of our libraries want to offer long term library card privileges, therefore patrons wouldn't get the expiration notices regularly.

notice scheduling
Currently, the notices for Current Checked Out Items allows for daily or weekly scheduling, but it would be handy to have the ability to set this at a longer time frame such as monthly, quarterly or by semester as most of our materials check out for much longer periods of time (16 weeks or longer generally), and some users find the weekly reminders tedious.
Either the option to set the automated notices to a longer time period, or the ability for patrons to choose a longer reminder period (opt in to weekly, monthly, etc notice) would be very helpful.

Provide information for notices that "failed to send"
We randomly see days when certain notices (hold pickup, courtesy, etc.), will show a "failed to send" with no information provided. No patron name, barcode, etc. (to see if they previously marked as spam) - no way to resend and no information. We alert support but they can't seem to tell us anything, no pattern and no information in the backend for them to review.
Please provide some more details on why notices fail to send.

Add Merge Tag to show sample of how hold is filed on shelf
For enhanced privacy, we have configured Polaris Hold Tag to file patron holds under 2 characters of last name, first initial(s) and then last 4 digits of barcode number. We would love to have a merge tag that can pull in the "Hold Tag" template from Polaris that we can title "Filed Under" so patrons will know in advance what information they will need to locate their hold on our shelf.

Delete Old Notices
Give libraries the ability to delete old notices or set up automatic deletion after a set period of time (24/36 months) Each library could either set their time frame or have the ability to manually delete old notices.

Split High Item Count Communications Across Multiple Notices
Back in 2024, I had posted an enhancement suggestion requesting that LX Starter be more accommodating to libraries with high allowances for holds & checkouts. We found that patrons with a large number of items checked out that fell due on the same day did not receive the expected overdue notices for those items.
We learned from feedback on the suggestion that has since been closed that LX Starter's email server has a limit of sending emails that are 256KB in size. When emails contain a large number of items the size can quickly exceed this limit. For example, a…

Improve notice Performance link click data
Now that we are adding some additional marketing content to Hold Pickup Notices, it would be helpful to improve the data on the Performance tab for the notice. Currently, there is a massive list of links with the number of people and clicks next to each. This list seems to be for all time so it is difficult to gauge the effectiveness of a specific version of the notice template. Since we are updating notices monthly it would be helpful to be able to filter the data to see clicks from a specific time period (to get information about engagement…

Social Media Icons
A few suggestions:
1) Allow customizable colors using the swatch in 'Icon Type' so we can better match our theme
2) Remove the Tinder icon
3) Add a Podcast icon5 votes -
Use the same patron record field for email address(es) as defined in Admin Corner
Since Sierra permits libraries to define an alternative variable-length field tag to reference for the patron email address – see attached Admin Corner screenshot – LX Starter should either follow the same customization or at least permit its redundant definition in the LX Starter configuration.
As much as we would like to switich to LX Starter for notices, we cannot move forward until the product supports this same customization.
To be clear, we DO still store conventional patron email addresses in the z - Email field, but if the patron also/instead wishes to receive SMS notices via an SMS-as-email service,…

Allow notices to be delayed on library closed dates
We recently added RFID-enabled book drops that automatically check in returned materials. They are great, except that if a returned item traps a hold on a day the library is closed, a hold notice is generated and sent to a patron who is then not able to come in and pick up their item. It would be great if we could set 'holiday' dates in LX Starter, and LX Starter could send any queued notices the following day instead.
There are other approaches to this problem, but since at least in Polaris item status changes are sometimes tied to notices…
