This is a good idea. We do plenty of batch check-ins, and this will mess up our circactive patron stats.

Our libraries use Sierra, but they have also mentioned that there are a lot of steps in order to see the item statuses, and that patrons are not finding them. It would be very beneficial to have more status options available on the tabs for Sierra libraries as well.

We've had libraries ask about this. It would definitely help speed things up when they're making showcases.

I've actually had this happen to me when I placed a hold on a new book. I understand that patrons were prioritized for their home libraries, but it's still frustrating when you're technically "first on the list". For a patron that doesn't know why their hold is not getting fulfilled when they're higher up on the list than another patron, I can understand why they might get upset and then complain to library staff. Having the option to disable the display would save both patrons and staff some heartache.

Our libraries are used to a search bar that is ready to type in once the page opens. Having to click on the search bar in Vega has become an extra step that's noticeable to library staff and patrons.

One thing to note is that patrons will not only disregard spam, but an email who's been bombarding them with messages (at least I do). Consolidating messages will increase the chances of the emails being read as well.

I've seen a lot of people having trouble with this. An unblock feature would be very helpful for both staff and patrons.

Something more visible to know that the proper text is being copied would be a good idea.

In the library, parents have often complained about their children being recommended adult book titles when searching for children's books. Narrowing down the children's catalog/children's searches to just children's items would be helpful.

Receiving the wrong format when a patron got confused while putting a hold on an item through Vega will lead to unnecessary frustration. Defaulting to books and then allowing patrons to filter out what do/don't want will help eliminate that frustration.

People don't always check their mail/email for notifications. But their phones are usually within arm's reach to check incoming texts. The SMS option would ensure that more messages are being seen when they're sent out to people who opt in.

As somebody who also only logs into her account using a username, having that removed would actually probably stop me from logging into my account. Having to find my library card and retrieve my barcode instead of just quickly logging in using a username is a big hindrance.

Since Vega is patron-friendly, a full screen view would be more convenient for patrons using smaller screens.

This is definitely useful, as I've been able to use the WebPAC's "on order" information in the past to inform patrons about incoming items to the library. If I was using Vega, I wouldn't be able to share this information with a patron.

This will save libraries a lot of headaches when they're getting questions from confused patrons as to why they haven't received their emails.

This is a good idea. Because you usually have to scroll down to see the Apply button, a patron may not remember to click on it and assume that it's just taking a long time to auto-load the chosen facets (I've done this myself). This would be a great time-saver.
