  2. Many of our patrons are on autopilot when checking out their materials at our expresschecks. There are times patrons while scanning, accidentally scan the wrong barcode (isbn barcode) rather than our libraries' created barcodes for checkout. Staff in our library system have requested there be a way to differentiate barcode scanning sounds of a normal checkout beep to some sort of indicator/sound letting the patron know something is wrong in the checkout process.

  3. When dealing with missing/damaged/canceled orders, we start at the Bib record and link over to the attached POs/Invoices. Right now in LEAP we have to start with the PO or Invoice, which we often don't know when we have the book in hand. I'd like to be able to link from the Bib Record to either Purchase Orders or Invoices or both.

  4. We currently run our lost and not paid reports under Patron Account > Patron Account List Reports in SimplyReports. Because shelf-location is not an output option, we manually enter it for each item in order for our shelvers to more easily complete shelf-checks. Can "shelf-location" be added as a report output option?

  5. When staff log out of Leap at the end of their shift, Microsoft prompts them to sign out of their Microsoft account. I think it confuses staff, they click on the prompt and then they get logged out of their Microsoft account. They then have to log back in and due to MFA need to get a code to log back in. This isn't ideal.
Customer support said currently this behavior is how Leap with OAuth/SSO works. Leap uses the identity provider to control the login and logout when setup with OAuth/SSO. Can you place an enhancement request to see…

  8. Update the PAPI BibKeywordSearch endpoint so it is possible to use filters ad-hoc (instead of requiring the filters to be setup in System Administration).

  10. Support for patrons to designate a pickup area or a location within the library where the patron would like to retrieve their holds (e.g., curbside, smart locker, drive thru). Current workflows require creating a new branch for tracking additional pickup locations.

  11. Staff often forget to properly log out of Leap which leaves object locks on any records they had open when they closed the browser. It would be helpful if there was a setting to automatically remove object locks after a specified number of hours/days.

  12. We use shared Windows logins at our service points so it's easy for a staff member who was working in the back or out on the floor to quickly hop on a desk and help a patron. However, for obvious reasons each staff member has their own Polaris credentials. Staff are constantly tempted to perform transactions while logged in as a colleague because they have a patron standing in front of them waiting. It would be nice if an inactivity timeout could be added to Leap so that staff would be forced to sign in as themselves in situations like…

  13. When you are using the general filters in SimplyReports, the record set list includes record sets that have been deleted. I'd like to either have the deleted record sets excluded or have a check box that allows you to exclude them.

  14. Making LEAP more accessible and usable for everyone is key to system-wide adoption. I know LEAP can be finicky when display and text scaling and zoom levels are beyond 100%. But improving support for larger text would be a game-changer for many! I have a couple suggestions that I think could make a big difference:

    1. Support zoom and text resize beyond 100% throughout LEAP, especially with the Find Tool, so users with vision needs can actually read the text. This small enhancement would be huge!

    2. Perform a VPAT and implement recommendations. This will uncover ways to improve overall accessibility per…

  16. Currently printing receipts from the Leap web app is unideal, requiring either significant manual intervention from the user or extensive browser tweaks to get it operable. A background desktop client (similar to JSPrintManager) could handle the printing far better than the browser does natively.

  17. I cannot think of a situation where, if I have a record set containing more than 250 items, it would be okay to proceed with doing things in that record set without loading in all of the items. It is typical to need to take a similar action on all items in large record sets but very challenging due to the 250 at a time limit. I just had to scroll and click more 27 times before I could embark on a bulk change. There should be a load all button.

  18. At the demonstration of Leap at IUG, we learned that PO line item duplicate check action is not available in Leap from the PO workform. We need to be alerted to existing items in our systems if we own them, to attach add copy orders to existing bibs. Please add this functionality.

  19. In the client, duplicate detection for MARC records is triggered by (re)saving the record, but can also be triggered separately as an action under the Tools menu. In Leap, resaving the record is the only way to trigger the function. This means cataloguers have to do a fake edit in order to un-grey-out the save button and click past any other functions, such as MARC validation, before they can get to the matching record(s).

Having duplicate detection as a separate function (maybe under Actions or as a button in the MARC view) would save cataloguers time and extra clicking.

  20. Please add the ability to print workslips for purchase order line items in Leap. Right now they can only be printed in Polaris client. Our Acquisitions staff would love to be able to do everything in Leap, rather than having to switch back to the client to print workslips.
