Easily move a list to correct sized file in Create Lists
I would like a function that would move a file to a correct sized list automatically. You just press this button and it moves the file to the smallest open file that will fit your list. It would automatically empty the original file and select the new one.
Idea Value
We frequently have to move lists because they turn out to be smaller than expected, and we want to put them in a better sized file. This is possible with the copy function, but then you have to go back and empty the original file. This is cumbersome.

Yep. I have certainly hit this and this option encourages folks to start with small. So I support it as described above. Question: does this move both the query name and query parameters to the new list? Or just the query name and the contents of the first query? Might be useful to know if the user wants to tweak and rerun the list.
Also, if the Move file option can't find a sufficiently large list, a pop-up should warn the user, something along the lines of Sufficient list not available at this time. Otherwise some people might think the functionality is just borked.I am not a fan of unlimited sized lists that are dynamically allocated. We have times in our reporting cycles when departments "reserve" the larger lists. With dynamic allocation they may not have the capacity they need when they need it.

All the time. What a pain. "I wonder how many records I'll get? Don't want to use up too big a list, trying to be considerate. Oh no -- this review file is too small. Grumble grumble." At least make it easier to deal with that situation, or the reverse one when I'm using a review file that's way too big and want to keep the results around for a few days so I want to move it to a smaller file.
Or -- crazy idea -- make all the review files of unlimited size, or make them size themselves dynamically when you do a search.
I always worry that less experienced users (or even I) will accidentally use a file that's too small and not notice.

Yes, I would appreciate this functionality. I try and emphasize to people running lists to make an educated guess as to how many records to expect, but they shouldn't have to do so. The management of the review files should just be easier in general. You get a certain number and they resize accordingly, vs. having to go in randomly and balance (create more files with only 500 records, etc.).

This is a most helpful idea. I often find lists of 500 records in a 25000 record file. I would love to have this functionality.
