Making changes to a program series in the approval stage
Sometimes when we're reviewing a program series in the approval stage, we realize that we need to make changes to the dates, such as shifting everything over by a week. It would be great to be able to make changes to the entire series recurrence in the approval stage, rather than deleting it and starting over.

Send More Notifications When a Patron is Signed up for Multiple Sessions
We've noticed that patrons that are signed up for classes where they need to attend multiple sessions (like for example a defensive driving class that meets on two successive nights) are getting email reminders that only mention one date. Is there a way to adjust the templating for these notifications so it includes all dates they are registered to attend?

Staff announcement area on the staff side only
It would be nice to have an announcement area on the staff side. This could be used by library admin staff to post tickets submitted, so staff know we already reported the issue. We could also use it to highlight Idea Exchange items we want staff to vote on.

Multiple days equipment booking
If a library wants patrons to book an equipment for 7 days instead of 2 hours, the library currently needs to convert the days into minutes and make sure the availability is set for 24 hours. It would be a lot more ideal to have the booking available for multiple days instead of the minutes. Here is an example of a prototype https://iiishowcase.events.mylibrary.digital/resource-booking?resource_id=34&date=2024-01-24

UI Text Changes Should be Applied to All Instances
I found another area where bookings is used rather than registration (see below). I have already changed the UI language options I have control over to registration, register, etc from bookings. I am not sure where this is pulling from, but we do not use the word bookings.

Multiple series/Cross series functionality
Some of our programs fit into multiple series and we would like functionality to be able to identify each series to enable the program to roll into a the others in this series under each series tile. For example, a program may fall into a Black History Month series and also a specific Music series. However, not all programs will fall into both of the same series. Another program may fall in the Black History Month series, but not in the Music series. If we add both series tiles in the series field with a colon or semi colon they…

Booking Closing Options for Events Created Using "Add a new session"
We have been adding dates in an event series using the "add a new session" option (rather than using the "interval" tool). We have also set it up so that the person is expected to attend all the sessions and will only need to register once. We have noticed that, after a event series has begun, participants are not able to join the series from the waitlist if a spot opens up.
We would like the same options for when the booking closes to be available when we add multiple events in a series using the "add a new session"…

Brochure Picture Placement
When creating a brochure it looks like a photo from one of the programs populates into the brochure, but the placement is all over the place meaning it is not consistent from page to page or each time you create a brochure. One time it may be with one of the programs on the left column and others it will be in the center.
We'd like to customize which images appear or choose to remove all the images.

Unlocking a Room: API integration with Open Path (Avigilon) access control for room reservations access by PIN
Enable Program's room reservation software to send patrons a unique 6-digit PIN via email for accessing their reserved rooms during their allocated booking period. Open Path offers excellent API documentation and currently provides this feature with two other room reservation software vendors, tailored specifically for libraries. Sending a preemptive email to patrons for room reservations significantly reduces the workload on library staff, as it streamlines the process of granting room access. Moreover, there are opportunities to integrate a 'touchless' experience through third-party applications as well.

Add “Delete Templates” to the Staff Roles
New roles now have the option to "create templates" which is great. However, everyone has the ability to delete and we can't control this.

Add a Created By Field when Creating an Event
Frequently, there is a difference between the person who actually creates the event in Program and the Contact Person's email address which is a required field. The contact person might not even be associated with the library at all.
It would be ever so helpful if a new created by field and the contact person's email address were a field that could have a free edit and a dropdown of all the staff account email addresses.
Also, staff does not need a reminder about their event, since they are scheduled to do it as part of their workday. It would…

Improve the mobile search on smartphones
When searching for programs in Vega Program on a smartphone (example here is iPhone 14), the search results are so far down the page that it looks like there were no results, unless the user thinks to scroll down. A lot of screen space is wasted on the "Narrow down the search results" help text and the filters, all of which push down the actual search results so far that the user doesn't see them.
It would be better to reduce the amount of text or provide an indicator that there are search results if they scroll down.

Show Library Events in TV Mode (Digital Signage)
Enhance the TV mode so the title of library events displays on the combined view of room bookings and library events.
For privacy, patron room bookings have the option to show or hide their booking name.

Standardize the Display of Dates
Standardize the display of dates. There are inconsistent date formats throughout. Our preferred format is Day, Month ##, Year (e.g. Monday, July 10, 2023) or Day, Month ## (e.g. Monday, July 10)

Split the Resource Management tools into a separate menu
It takes extra clicks to go through room management, it would be easier if Resources had its own menu.

It also says 'Contact the library if you wish to update this address,' which sounds really odd.

Add a Way to Turn Off or Hide the Cost Field
We don't charge for events and the UX doesn't apply to all places cost is used. Could another UI Text field be added or add a global setting to hide all mentions of cose?

Impersonate Search by Email Also Checks Against the ILS
Instead of two searches (library card number OR email address), have one search that looks for the matching information. For example, if a patron used their library card number to register for the event AND their email address is in the ILS, a search using the email address would bring back their guest bookings as well as their ILS bookings. A search by barcode number would bring back any guest bookings IF their ILS account has a matching email address.
