  6. Give a Library the ability to exclude locations by default in the search results. For example, a Library may be far enough away that materials from that location are essentially unavailable. If they could be excluded it would help with preventing patron confusion and frustration.

  7. We currently have Overdrive content as records in our catalog and thus the API integration to Overdrive is not being used for the records. We'd like to continue to have those records in our catalog so staff and patrons can search in other places (Leap, PowerPAC, Innovative Mobile App etc) but be able to exclude them from Vega extraction so the API can be used instead.

  8. We are finding that our patrons rely on seeing where they are in the holds queue to make decisions about keeping a hold active and have gotten used to this feature in Polaris PowerPAC.

  9. Improve Vega's page loading performance on devices and allow patrons to view the complete results lists easily by removing the page links and adding Lazy Loading or Load More option. Patrons' current web experience is a continuous scroll with content loading. This enhancement maintains that experience.

  12. In a consortium, the default is the name of the account of the consortium. This is confusing because the consortium name might be the name or nickname of a single library in the consortium. Patrons do not recognize the email address (no-reply@iiivega.com) or library name listed (Bett). Ability to customize the message would allow each library to use their own branded name.

Previously, if someone placed items on hold but wanted to suspend the hold into an inactive status (to reactivate by a certain date -- i.e. July 10, 2023), they could specify the date in their holds list. In Vega Discover, there is no option to suspend the hold until a certain date. A patron can only freeze the hold until they select unfreeze. Would there be a way to have both options (Freeze and inactive status with a specific date)? I know that patrons who are on vacation until a certain date appreciate selecting an exact date for the hold…

  15. Could you please make it so we can create a view later list, just by adding an icon to the corner of the book image. This would be easier than having to click on the book to view it and then find the request or save button.

  16. After having just been in Encore to renew, now I’m in Vega. What I don’t like about this screen is the lack of item related info. Example, Let’s say the 2 SirDynix bibs are magazine issues and I want to renew the May 21 issue – which one is it? The Encore screen provides barcode and call number, so you can differentiate between the items. This would help situations like this.

  17. Currently, eBooks and eAudiobooks on order/not yet published from OverDrive do not show up as such in Vega. They show up as ‘checked out’, which is confusing for patrons, especially when these books are MONTHS from being released. Add additional eContent status to reflect titles that are coming soon.

  20. We are still at the stage where we have to request search statistics, and the data is somewhat limited in nature:

    Currently, the two types of statistical overviews available are:

    1. A count of all visits* to any page over the desired time period.

    2. A count of all visits* to search results that were done over the desired time period.

    *The reports don't call them visits; they are called visitors. No idea if they are unique visitors?

    There are pageviews (down in lower right of screen shot) but support staff doesn't always include this information, seem to focus on just sending…
