  1. There's a need for different blocks within the Almost Due / Auto Renew notice.
    The top block should group all the items that failed to renew and are due soon. The second block should group all the items that renewed and are due later.

  2. One of our recent bounceback emails mentioned our patron's email address is on "our" Amazon SES account's suppression list. If we were a private/independent entity we could access and edit this list. However, LX Starter is the owner of the account and we have no access to it or the list.

    My support ticket response noted there is no "designed method" in place to handle removing email addresses from this list. Thus, the only way to fix this right now is for our patron to register a new email address with us (if they want to receive email notifications). We…

  4. The notices function is very useful, but limited. We are only able to communicate with patrons through Sierra on a few occasions. It would be wonderful to be able to send/print notices based on a review file. This way, we could communicate with patrons via Sierra for numerous reasons. My inspiration for this is to send notices just before a patron library account expires. Previously, we haven't had a standardized way to alert patrons to their impending expiration.

  5. It would be helpful if LX Starter allowed for patrons to receive checkout receipts via email. Sierra currently supports customizable checkout receipt emails using Due Slip print templates, but these are difficult to work with.

  6. When a saved block is edited, we would like it to automatically update any templates using that saved block rather than having to go to each template and re-add the updated block to each template one by one.

  7. Help your consortia friends and vote - please!

    In Sierra consortia have the ability to send notices across all locations. This is a critical service used daily. Large consortia that spread across large geographical areas use system holds to meet local demand. This means a patron may have a title that has been provided by a library they never stepped foot in or may not even heard of. Seeing an email that hails from an unkown entity looks like spam. A message from the library system has a fighting chance of getting opened.

  8. When we look at the notice information LX Starter backend, we should be able to see and download a copy of the notice sent to the patron.

    This would give you the ability to print out the notice if necessary - to either mail or hand the patron.

  9. Please also put a message in the patron account when they mark our email as spam. I think anytime the notice preference is automatically updated by the system, a note should be added.

  10. We've ran into difficulties trying to progressively clean up our bounces. Staff have to keep a google sheets to know what things have been corrected (unless they keep leap open as well and see if the patron has the "edited" in the notes). Would it be possible to evaluate some way to better manage the clean ups?

    One idea offered was a check box for Resolved (Thanks Amy Al-Shabibi)

  11. Please add essential merge tags—"Reason", "Additional Information", and "Charging Library/Branch"—to the Manual Bill feature in LX Starter for Polaris libraries. These tags are fundamental to our billing processes and are conspicuously absent, impeding our ability to relay comprehensive billing details to patrons as is standard in Polaris' Manual Bill, as per the documentation in Polaris Staff Client Help - Bill a charge manually to a patron account (https://documentation.iii.com/polaris/7.5/Default.htm#PolarisStaffHelp/Patron_Services/PPuseacct/BillChargeManu.htm)

  12. I'd like to request that LX Starter change the icon associated with missing DVD cover art to something that represents that the item is a movie. Currently, when DVD artwork is not available, LX Starter is subbing in an icon which shows a silhouette of a book.

  17. Would be nice to have the option to set parameters for hard bounced emails in LX Starter. For example, set the note in the patron record to a blocking note and check the exclude from email notices box to avoid repeated hard bounces of the same email. This would save staff time.

  19. Currently, I look at Notice Activity for each day to track how many notices of each type are sent, delivered, bounced, etc. I record this in excel for reference.

    It would be wonderful to receive a daily report of activity by email or to be able to schedule a report to be emailed at a desired interval (ie. daily/weekly/monthly).

  20. Add the ability to create a template specifically for repeated bills. This would allow us to send a different message for a reminder bill than what we sent in the original bill. This is would be similar to how we are able to create different templates for 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc Overdue Notices.
