Community Tags
In Encore, libraries had the ability to add Community Tags. These were quite useful in searching for topics that aren't traditional LC Subject Headings. For example, on our website, we have a link to Kids Resources on various topics like "potty training" as a community tag, the LC heading is "toilet training". Or "healthy eating". We also have Award winners as tags - Caudill, Monarch, Bluestem award winners.

Ability to use Level 2 Location Codes separate from locations
For example blaf - Level 1 is bl = LINC Library Innovation Center, since we're a multi branch we need this in the Locations facet.
But now for the af = adult fiction, we would like this to be a separate facet like we did in Encore.

Discover pickup location should default to 'select a library' not the first in the alphabet
Currently, when I library is temporarily closed for a renovation, we noticed different behavior in Discover vs. the PAC when it comes to default pickup location. We think the way it used to work is better.
In Discover that patrons registered to that library (who have no preferred pick up location) set on their profile... Discover will default to the first one alphabetically. Allow us to choose the display order in Vega when there are linked 880 fields
When looking at records in our catalog that have non-Roman vernacular script included in the 880 fields, it does not appear in the order in which it would best serve our patrons. I have included screenshots to illustrate how we purposely have the original language/vernacular script displaying in the 245 field so that it displays in the Title in brief results lists, and on the receipt and notices when patrons check items out for optimal patron service. Items with different content shouldn't be incorrectly combined into work displays
This is related to the suggestion "All metadata and content displayed for a work should use the same instance ISBN", but more specifically I'm seeing a problem with movies with different release years, but the same title (and same DVD publisher).
I can see this making sense for certain things - for example a book like The Grapes of Wrath, which we have several different editions of. The text is basically the same - there may be different forewords or other supplementary material, but for the most part it's less likely that a patron will be choosy about which edition…

Reoccurring Events in Homepage Builder
Many libraries host weekly or monthly events, it would be helpful to have a reoccurring event block option in the Homepage Builder instead of having to input a date/time for each individual event.

Display the MARC 773 field and index 773 $t
We have over 23,000 bibliographic records in our legacy ILS that represent articles within serials and we continue to add new ones on a regular basis. We use the MARC 773 field to list the parent serial title, volume and issue number, and pages of the article, but this field does not display in Vega or Leap, making these articles impossible to find (unless a staff member views the MARC in Polaris.)
Also, 773 subfield $t is not indexed so these records are not findable by a title search for the parent journal, only by searching the title and/or author…

Unified Authentication: OAuth (or SAML) Integration for staff Vega Discover access
Our library currently leverages OAuth 2.0 with Google as our identity provider to authenticate librarians into Polaris LEAP. We would like to request the ability to integrate this same OAuth 2.0 (or SAML)/Google authentication workflow with Vega Discover. Since we understand that Vega Discover utilizes Keycloak on the backend, this integration should be technically feasible through Keycloak's identity brokering capabilities, where Keycloak would act as an intermediary between Vega Discover and our Google identity provider. Consortia and Hoopla Integration Within Vega
We are part of a consortium and have an enhancement request, specifically for our hoopla integration. Currently, we have to choose 1 library ID for title ingestion (Solano) and can choose a separate library ID for circulation (St Helena, for example). We choose the least restrictive library catalog to ingest all titles and then circulate based on the individual library. This causes patrons to be able to see titles that are in fact unavailable to them/not borrowable at their individual member library. Add the Ability to Limit Display of Showcases by Collection Site
Currently when a showcase is published, that showcase shows up for any titles that are in it, even if that showcase is for a different Library/collection site. The ability should be added to limit the display of showcases to only certainly collection sites, such as only a Library's own collection/kiosk sites. This would be most useful in an consortium.

Add default collapsed view or "don't show this again" option for featured available titles display in My Bookshelf
The planned/upcoming feature (as of January 2025) to add the ability to filter My Bookshelf lists by item availability is a nice addition. However, in looking at the preview, staff have expressed concerns that some patrons may find the carousel display of featured available titles too much, as a common theme we hear in feedback about the My Bookshelf feature in general is that there is too much scrolling and clicking involved to navigate it. We would like to have some logging of when a customer signs into Vega. This would help us troubleshoot certain transactions the customer may have issues with. It would also provide counts for other types of usage reports pertaining to Vega usage.

Search box in top right corner defaults to last search option..
Here is the scenario: You do a search by title from the main search bar in Vega Discover. You scroll through the results and then decide to do an author search. Instead of scrolling back to the top of the page to use the main scroll bar, you just click the orange search icon in the top right corner and enter your author's name. The results will be that you get no results. The top search icon defaults to the last search option: All, Author, Concept, Series, Title. Sometimes patrons can be confused concerning eMaterials not displaying the app that they receive the materials on. Being able to edit the vendor name under Edition Information (Additional Information in our case) would be helpful in mitigating that confusion.
