Have Polaris and Vega Program talk to each other so we can pull circulation statistics during hours that programs occur easily.

Create Visible (But Unbookable) Rooms
A member library wants to create rooms that are viewable by patrons, but which they cannot reserve.
Right now, the only way we can accomplish this is to remove all availability from a room. But that isn't ideal, not least because (a) it gives patrons no idea of when the room might be in use, as well as cluttering up the , and (b) if staff want to manually book it for patrons on the back-end, they must click through repeated warnings.
This appears to be included as part of another idea (https://ideas.iii.com/forums/951976-vega-program/suggestions/49834827-add-option-for-other-location-visibility-on-back-e), but not addressed there.

categories
When you click on the STATS page and you scroll down to see the branch stats, it would be nice to be able to click on each category and have it further break down to list each program you did in that category and the attendance there.
We are using private categories and cannot even see those categories on our excel report, so if we could click on a category from that view and have it open one level further to list our programs, it would also be a quick way to check and make sure a branch has all…3 votes -
Room selections in booking search
When you view location options in the Check Availability tab, you have the option to select whole locations (checking the location box, and all the rooms are selected from that location). In the Booking Search tab, all the rooms are just separate, and there's not a way to pick a location and have all the rooms selected at once. A minor concern, but if there's a way to make those dropdowns the same, that would be awesome.

Private yes/no filter would be really helpful on the search dashboard and on the staff calendar
We often have events created which are set to private=yes and some that should be private that have been left inadvertently with the default of private=no. We often discover this by error when things appear on the public calendar and on our website. We then have to edit each individual event to adjust the private yes/no setting. A search filter would allow us to quickly generate a list of private events. Having the ability to see this from the staff dashboard search results and on the staff calendar would be a huge time saver for our team. Currently, the only…

Post-booking approval
For the sake of enforcing use limit policies, it would be helpful to be able to approve bookings after they have already happened. With few staff who are able to approve requests, sometimes we don't get to approve requests before the room has already been used. To be able to approve requests after a booking (with the option not to notify a patron since there's no need) would then help the staff when reviewing future requests in the same limitation period. To help clarify, we have a playroom that is available by reservation, but walk-up use is welcomed and counts…

Widget accessibility
Is there a way for the featured events widget to pull the dark overlay that exists on the actual event page banner/image instead of just the image? It makes it more accessible and easier to see.

Categorize Rooms to Help with Filtering and Hiding from Staff
We'd like to see an option to categorize rooms to help with filtering them or hiding them. For example, we have both public access rooms and staff-only rooms. However, not all staff can book the staff-only rooms, as they are only responsible for making public bookings. By categorizing the rooms, we'd hope to see all rooms of a certain category together and be able to collapse categories in the list view. Even further, it would be great to be able to hide categories from staff that are unneccesary to them and clutter their view.

Patron check in/check out option?
Patrons receive a confirmation that includes a " Manage Booking" box. One of our challenges is that we don't know when a patron has checked in to the room, or if they leave the room early.
Right now, patrons don't have to stop by the desk before or after their reservation. And, if patrons leave early without telling us we can't modify the reservation to free up space for another person. In the new VEGA system could a check - in and check - out button be added to the patron's reservation confirmation?
Something like a button or QR code…

Series Name field converted from text field to a dropdown list for Events
If the series name field were an admin controlled dropdown list, staff could consistently select/name events as appropriate. No added keystroking and risk for creating incorrect series names. If it could be a multi-select dropdown list, it would also allow us to make an event part of more than one series when needed. Not sure how this would be handled on the public view. Maybe a quick display of matching series names with say 5 to 10 events for each series, allow the user to explore more in that series?

*Openpath Integration* Cancel room bookings after 15 minutes if the room was not accessed at scheduled time
Automatically cancel study room bookings if the room isn't accessed within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled time. If the system detects that the door wasn't unlocked (via PIN or NFC) within this window, the reservation would be canceled, freeing up the room for others to book.

Staff Side: Applying room filters shouldn't default to all options selected
When searching rooms on the staff side from Check Availability or Booking Search, clicking on the Location filter defaults to all locations selected. It would be more efficient if all locations were unselected, and the staff user could use Select All if needed.

Simplify the layout for less scrolling when registering
Change the layout of the screen so that "register as a guest" shows at the same place register as a patron does. This will make it easier for patrons so they don't have to scroll down as far to register as a guest.

Impersonate Search by Email Also Checks Against the ILS
Instead of two searches (library card number OR email address), have one search that looks for the matching information. For example, if a patron used their library card number to register for the event AND their email address is in the ILS, a search using the email address would bring back their guest bookings as well as their ILS bookings. A search by barcode number would bring back any guest bookings IF their ILS account has a matching email address.

Split the Resource Management tools into a separate menu
It takes extra clicks to go through room management, it would be easier if Resources had its own menu.

Increase Template functionality
Templates currently require you to input data to make a number of different fields active in the template, most of which must be determined through trial and error. It would be great if we could select only the fields that we want to be predetermined to be saved in the template. As an example, I wanted to create a template for our adult spring programs and I ended up filling out description, event date, event location, max bookings, in order to get the 'Booking Opens' and 'Open to Patron Types' fields to save. After some trial and error I found…

Make program description character count higher.
Currently, there is a block at 1200 characters for program descriptions. While it's best if program descriptions are smaller, some require more of an explanation. If this limit could be raised or removed, that would be appreciated.

Export Events for Event Cross Promotion with Other Libraries
Allow for a template to be exported so libraries can share the file. Then the other libraries would be able to import the file and make edits. This would also allow for the sharing of events across library systems.
