  1. Currently, when adding segments to a purchase order line item in Leap, the collection and fund reset whenever a new destination is selected. Since we are frequently adding multiple segments with the same collection and fund but different destinations, this forces acquisitions staff to have to scroll down and select the correct collection and fund for each segment. If the first selection of collection and fund "stuck" for each purchase order line item, it would be much faster to add multiple segments for items going to different destinations.

  2. It would be great to have an option to go back and view recent search history or search results in the find tool in Leap. I often close out of a search too soon and realize I need to go back for more information, or realize that I actually had the results I needed two searches ago.
    Being able to quickly view recent search results rather than constructing the whole search again would save a lot of time.

  3. In the Polaris client, we have the ability to enter taxes and discounts on invoices as a dollar amount. In Leap there is no way to do this and taxes and discounts can only be entered as a percentage. Many of our vendors list taxes and discounts as a dollar amount on the invoice, it would be much simpler to be able to enter in those numbers directly rather than trying to calculate the correct percentage. Our Acquisitions staff have been entering and paying invoices in Polaris client rather than in Leap solely for this reason.

  5. Many libraries like to call attention to their genre fiction through the use of spine label stickers and icons. For instance, science fiction items may feature an image of a grey alien, mysteries have a magnifying glass or a skull and crossbones, and westerns use a cowboy or a horse or something similar. The thing is, there's no reason a library couldn't print the icons on the spine labels themselves using emoji.

    💀 = Mystery

    🦄 = Fantasy

  6. A customer contacted us recently and asked if we could possibly add a feature where lists can be sorted alphabetically by title. Since this functionality isn't currently available in the API, I wonder if it could be added?

  7. Automate lost barcode number requests. The simple way to achieve this is to offer this option below "Forgot your password" on the PAC login screen. The user clicks this and is asked to enter in the email address connected to the account in addition to first and last name. The patron associated with that name and email address would receive an email with the barcode. If the patron does not have an email on the account, or the wrong email address is entered, the user receives an error message.

  8. We'd like added the ability to purge report downloads from SimplyReports that are sitting in user folders. This would include deleting ad hoc report, scheduled report, and saved report extracts from their respective user folders after a specified number of days.

    Currently these settings are listed under the Admin section of SimplyReports, but we only found out recently there is no process tied to the settings. We'd like to see this functionality built. Details about their unavailability can be found in the SimplyReports help article "Set the general application defaults" (bottom).

  9. The "Recent" tab in the Leap Workform Tracker lists recently-accessed patron, item, and bibliographic records. Now that additional record types are available in Leap, it would be helpful to have additional record types listed in the "Recent" tab, including but not limited to:InvoicesPurchase OrdersRecord Sets

In the same way that you can bulk select multiple non-sequential emails in web email services and right click to take action, Leap should allow users more flexibility to bulk select records to be added to a record set. This is something that is useful in the windows staff client and should be available in the web Leap interface. Also, please add a Load All option at the top of Leap retrieval/record sets to take place of the karate chop, instead of having to scroll to the bottom of the results to access the Load More button.

  11. Many of the keyboard shortcuts that are in the Polaris client are not found in Leap. This is harder for people with difficulties switching between the keyboard and mouse. We have a user who would love to have access to these keyboard shortcuts in leap that, if turned on or added, would make Leap linking much more intuitive and ergonomic.

    • Ctrl-S would be fantastic
    • A shortcut to simply close a record, as exists in the form of Alt-F4 in Polaris.

  12. I'm repeatedly finding instances where a patron is missing their registration date. At first, I thought it was migrated data, but after updating those records, I discovered it happening over and over. Please prevent the registration date from being deleted.

  13. Allow bulk change to all fields in the bulk change workform when the record set contains patrons from more than one registered branch. Currently, the system requires that a single registration branch must be applied to the patron records before changing the patron code and/or the library assigned blocks. These values are set at the branch level; however, most libraries use consistent patron codes and blocks across branches.

  14. We have had several library members ask why there are not capable of printing their reading history from their account in Polaris. It would be great if there was a print button at the top of their reading history. Can this be be added?

  15. To have the ability to choose what columns are used in record sets. This would be useful for daily inventory of items that we would need to know the due dates or other values. Currently, record sets are locked into a standard set of columns, some of which, most of us have no use for.

When conducting a PowerPAC search using the "limit by" feature to select one's home library and combining that with the "available now" facet, the implication is that only the items at one's home library will show up. That is not the case, as available items at all consortium libraries display in the results. Although it is possible to achieve the desired results by selecting the local library under the "assigned branch" facet, this is not very intuitive for library patrons.

  17. Currently the picklist processing report is as-is with no options to modify.

    We've found it would be helpful for our library to have the last activity date to display when printing the picklist as items may have been returned within the last few days and on their way to being re-shelved or possibly on shelf for years & actually missing. Thinking others may have additional fields that would be of use to them as well.

  18. I love the New Holds function in Leap. It makes it easy to place lots of holds for a customer in a single session when you know exact info and they are fine getting it later. With this feature though, you have no way to easily see WHERE copies of a title are or what their status is or details about WHAT you are placing a hold on. It would be great if there was a way to link to or preview bib info and item details (such as circ status and location) so you know if you even need…

  19. While Leap Item Record views are pretty robust, they often lack a very critical piece of information - Last Activity Date. Modification and Creation date display in Properties but Last Activity Date is not displayed. While it can sometimes be found in the History view, this is not always the case. Sometimes History is empty in Leap. We reference Last Activity date in the staff client on a regular basis and need ready access to that same information in Leap

  20. Currently item barcodes are not included on the billing notices. We double check the shelves for billed items prior to mailing the bill to the patron. Often we have multiple copies of the item. To ensure that the bill is accurate and the items are truly missing, we have to take the other copies to the circulation desk and double check their status. This is time consuming, inefficient and occurs frequently. Item barcodes are include on the overdue notices. I would like to see them included on the billing notice too.
