back button on resource page
Please enlarge the back button on the resource page. We have several reports from customers that they just don't know what to do when they land on the resource page. There are other ideas to add breadcrumbs on this page or add facets, but can at least the "back" button be more prominent?

Special Error message for patrons who do not have a Hoopla account
Currently there is only one error message for all eContent errors: no message from overdrive available. This is confusing for when the error is due to the patron not having a Hoopla account.

Sort by call number
Staff use the catalog to pull materials for displays and storytimes, and sorting by author or title doesn't do them any good when looking in Non-Fiction, or when looking across multiple collections. For example, if they were looking for display items for Dragons they are going to be possibly in a few different Dewey numbers as well as in all the subsets of fiction, so running a search and being able to sort by call number would help them find the items as efficiently as possible.

Allow Scheduled Showcases to be Added to Vega Homepage Before Publish Date
When scheduling Vega homepage content for awareness months it would be convenient to be able to add scheduled, but as-yet-unpublished, showcases to a scheduled block.

Add Delete Button Under Item Image in Saved Lists
Patrons are finding it less intutive to delete items from their saved lists with the "Remove from List" link almost hidden in the very top right corner of the screen.
Each item in a saved list has a box around the image, the share button and select button are there. We also think the delete button, perhaps as garbage can icon, should be there as well.
(The "Remove From List" button can still be in the top right, if multiple items are selected, but for one-off deletions it should be easier and more clear how to do it).
I'll attach…

Use first name first or nickname for patron account portal
In the account portal, use the initial of the account's first name instead of last name and show the name in the format "First Last"--except when there is a nickname, in which case use the nickname. The circled letters seem designed to differentiate between linked accounts, so I can foresee families in which everyone is labelled with the same letter and you can mostly only see the last name.
(This would only apply when there are multiple accounts. I agree with this idea when there are no linked accounts: https://ideas.iii.com/forums/951766-vega-discover/suggestions/50968153-suppress-the-patron-name-when-account-linking-is-n)
Also, use the first name, or nickname if there…

Promote Relevance Button
In Encore there was a button for staff to manually promote the relevance of certain titles to appear at the top of search results. We'd like to see something similar implemented in Vega to ensure titles that we expect patrons to want to see first are listed first. Example below, of Ulysses by James Joyce being fourth in the results for a basic search of "ulysses"

Can we add the ability to filter a search by what is actually borrow-able for the user.
It would be great to have a way to filter a search by what is actually borrow-able for the user. For instance, I was looking into a request from one of our libraries about placing a hold on a radon testing kit and after bopping around for a few minutes I realized there doesn't seem to be a way to filter a search by what is actually borrow-able for the user, which makes for a frustrating user experience.

When searching with a limiter to a single location using facets, that location should display in the rollup's "On shelf at" text line
Attached is a screenshot of the a search result for the work "found dogs." Our library has three branches: South, Valley Ranch, and West. South's copy is checked out, and Valley and West's copies are on the shelves. The patron has used the location facet to limit to the WEST branch.
You'll notice that because South's copy is checked out, the branches are listed as:
+Valley Ranch|+West|xSouth--South is placed at the end even though it's first alphanetically. However, the line of text that displays above this is "On shelf at Valley Ranch" because Valley Ranch precedes West alphabetically.

thumbnail update
Now that the thumbnail updates based on which tab of the roll-up is selected, if the thumbnail does not exist for that item type, it should display the image that does exist. For example, if the thumbnail exists for the book, but not for the audiobook, when you click on the audiobook tab, the thumbnail should display the book rather than displaying a generic blank image.

Show all editions automatically when a volume field is present in the item record
When there is a volume field in the item record, show all editions automatically, so that patrons can easily view all options without taking additional steps.
Right now, when patrons first view the Vega record, they must click "Find a Specific Edition," and then the down arrow, in order to see all editions held in the collection.

Better Error Message for Users Trying to Return OverDrive Kindle Titles
I'm not sure if it's possible, but it would be really helpful for users who try to check in an OverDrive title they have on Kindle to get an error message other than the general one that says to try again later. Titles that have been sent to Kindle need to be checked in through Amazon. Most of our patrons go through the Libby app, which gives them return instructions there, but we've had a few try to return these titles from their Vega account portal and are confused when they get an error.

Sort admins
We are a special case, with more than 2000 admins. When we need to manage them in Vega staff > Settings > User management we would like to have some kind of sorting by name, or a search box which makes us easier to retrieve the person we are looking for. It would save us a lot of time.

Display subfield c from 520 in summary
Currently, the summary from the 520 field is displaying on the full resource card and dynamically updating by format, which is great. However, the subfield c is hidden, so anytime there is a subfield c present, there are simply two dashes at the end of the summary, suggesting that there might be something missing or cut off (which there is, in fact). Can the subfield c please be displayed along with the summary?

disable renew button
In the patron record checkouts it would be useful if the renew button would disappear completely if the item out has existing holds on it (like it does in the powerpac now). Why give the illusion you can renew something to then just be denied?

Allow Vega to item level holds
Currently Vega only supports title level holds. It would be nice if Vega had the same behaviour as WebOPAC and allow item level holds.

Sorting for ILS List Showcases
Thrilled to be able to create showcases in Vega Discover using ILS lists!
The lists seem to automatically sort to newest title first. We'd like to be able to maintain the sort order from the record set or have sort options once added as a showcase.

Add "Remove From Lists" option under the All Available Bookmarks window in the My Bookshelf bar.
Currently, the only way to remove an item from a list is by clicking into the list itself and selecting the materials. Since the All Available Bookmarks feature is the first in the Bookmarks tab, it makes sense that there would also be an option to remove materials there.

Google Analytics Field in Vega
Could you please add support for a single configuration field where we can paste our Google Analytics Measurement ID (tracking key)? Ideally, this would be a dialog box or settings field in the admin/back-end interface that automatically injects the Google Analytics script across the site once the key is provided.
This will allow us to manage our own Google Analytics account without requiring us to write custom scripts to go in page footers, etc.

Option to hide "Request any edition" button
We would like there to be an option to hide the request any edition button, so that patrons would always have to pick a specific edition. We do very little weeding of older editions and have a large collection of early printed books which can be mixed in with regular open access copies, so depending on the holds ratio patrons could get served up a much older edition of a book than is useful for them if they use the more prominent "Request any edition" button.
