Consortia and Hoopla Integration Within Vega
We are part of a consortium and have an enhancement request, specifically for our hoopla integration. Currently, we have to choose 1 library ID for title ingestion (Solano) and can choose a separate library ID for circulation (St Helena, for example). We choose the least restrictive library catalog to ingest all titles and then circulate based on the individual library. This causes patrons to be able to see titles that are in fact unavailable to them/not borrowable at their individual member library. Allow us to choose the display order in Vega when there are linked 880 fields
When looking at records in our catalog that have non-Roman vernacular script included in the 880 fields, it does not appear in the order in which it would best serve our patrons. I have included screenshots to illustrate how we purposely have the original language/vernacular script displaying in the 245 field so that it displays in the Title in brief results lists, and on the receipt and notices when patrons check items out for optimal patron service. Do not hide shelf location when no physical copies are available
When there are physical copies of the title available, the shelf location appears on the results page. However, if there are no physical copies on the shelf at any location, that shelf location is hidden and the user must click into a location in order to see the shelf location. It is inconvenient to have that information hidden on the front page.

Change the website title of Passcode Reset webpage in Vega
To avoid potential patron confusion the ability to change the Vega website title from Welcome to Vega to something specific to your library when opening the Forgot My Passcode link would be helpful. For example, it might read "Library Name/Abbreviation Passcode Reset," which should eliminate any doubts about the nature of the webpage.

one click hold
Would like to see the ability to place a one click hold like you can currently do the Polaris power pac. If you've chosen a preferred pickup location I don't see the necessity of having that 2nd window pop up that makes you confirm that.

Add a call number index for searching
After testing a few call number searches, we are realizing that this feature would work best if there were an index for call number searching, to prevent erroneous results from appearing in the list. For example, if I want to search JUST Dewey call numbers of 300, I don't want to retrieve the movie with the title "300". Also, for our world language materials, we use call numbers to distinguish between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and we are getting a lot of additional results with the keywords "Traditional" and "Chinese" in the bib. records. Search name of showcase
Ability to search the name of a showcase. (This is similar to a feature BiblioCore has where patrons can type "new dvds" and retrieve a pre-limited search results). So, this would enable libraries to create a showcase called New DVDs, and patrons would be able to easily find those materials.

Patron account view - allow fullscreen display
Patrons using laptops with smaller display resolutions are finding the limited height of the account display frustrating, as they can only see one item at a time and scrolling via touchpad can be difficult. Many have asked if an option to extend the display to cover the full height of the screen could be made available.

Add Sort by Author for Bookmarks and Lists in patron accounts
Add Sort by Author Ascending/Descending options to Bookmarks and Lists in patron accounts.
Along with Title and Date Added, this is an option in WebPAC that patrons are used to having. It also makes sense to have consistent view/sort behavior across the catalog. So, since patrons are/will be able to sort search results, checkouts, holds, and reading history by author, they should be able to do the same with other lists, as well.

Non-circulating Materials
REQUEST: Ideally suppression rules would be the same as currently followed in the ILS (Sierra and Polaris) along with requesting parameters. Would help with reference only collections that can't be checked out/removed from building but say 'checked in'

Add the Ability to Limit Display of Showcases by Collection Site
Currently when a showcase is published, that showcase shows up for any titles that are in it, even if that showcase is for a different Library/collection site. The ability should be added to limit the display of showcases to only certainly collection sites, such as only a Library's own collection/kiosk sites. This would be most useful in an consortium.

Reset Passwords/PIN with no email
Have the options to reset PINs via text message. Patrons without an email address in their record get an error message that an email couldn't be sent. There are a lot of patrons who do not like to give out their email, so having the reset link send via text would be useful.

Items with different content shouldn't be incorrectly combined into work displays
This is related to the suggestion "All metadata and content displayed for a work should use the same instance ISBN", but more specifically I'm seeing a problem with movies with different release years, but the same title (and same DVD publisher).
I can see this making sense for certain things - for example a book like The Grapes of Wrath, which we have several different editions of. The text is basically the same - there may be different forewords or other supplementary material, but for the most part it's less likely that a patron will be choosy about which edition…

Add default collapsed view or "don't show this again" option for featured available titles display in My Bookshelf
The planned/upcoming feature (as of January 2025) to add the ability to filter My Bookshelf lists by item availability is a nice addition. However, in looking at the preview, staff have expressed concerns that some patrons may find the carousel display of featured available titles too much, as a common theme we hear in feedback about the My Bookshelf feature in general is that there is too much scrolling and clicking involved to navigate it. Create Graphic Novel format
We would like to see a new format of "Graphic Novel" which would not roll up with other books that have the same title and author. It could use the fixed fields in the MARC record when the 008 is for books with a 6 in "Nature of contents" (positions 24-27). This would help prevent us from having to add our own manufactured subtitles just to get certain graphic novels to stop rolling up with the book version.
