The 505$t subfield should be included in the title search.
Here is an example of a situation where that is valuable. If a library user is searching for Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle" and uses the Title search, they will only find the actual work "Cat's Cradle". However, this book is also contained in short story compilations. They will miss this short story compilation which may better suit their reading needs.

Search name of showcase
Ability to search the name of a showcase. (This is similar to a feature BiblioCore has where patrons can type "new dvds" and retrieve a pre-limited search results). So, this would enable libraries to create a showcase called New DVDs, and patrons would be able to easily find those materials.

Include Call Number in Checkout Summary
We would like the checkout summary in Discover to have a call number column like it does in the PAC. Some libraries use the call number to store information for linked uncataloged items. Please see the two attached examples.

Ability to use facets to refine/filter Showcase results
It would be helpful for patrons to be able to refine Showcase results by selecting facets as in the advanced search (e.g., to filter by availability, location, format, etc.).

Require login to bookmark
We've received several tickets from our member libraries reporting that patrons' bookmarked items aren't being saved. It seems this happens because patrons are bookmarking items while logged out. Although Vega does display a warning that users need to log in to save bookmarks, we believe user errors could be minimized if the option to bookmark items were only available after confirming the user is logged in.

Add a call number index for searching
After testing a few call number searches, we are realizing that this feature would work best if there were an index for call number searching, to prevent erroneous results from appearing in the list. For example, if I want to search JUST Dewey call numbers of 300, I don't want to retrieve the movie with the title "300". Also, for our world language materials, we use call numbers to distinguish between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and we are getting a lot of additional results with the keywords "Traditional" and "Chinese" in the bib. records. Reset Passwords/PIN with no email
Have the options to reset PINs via text message. Patrons without an email address in their record get an error message that an email couldn't be sent. There are a lot of patrons who do not like to give out their email, so having the reset link send via text would be useful.

Improve the staff function for creating bookmark lists to make it easier to add a title to multiple lists without increasing clicks required for adding a title to one list or remove a title from a list.

Show In Library Use status on the Search Page
We would like a way to show on the search page when an item is a In Library Use Only status. Right now, ours just says everything is available with no search button which can cause confusion for patrons. We want people to find these items so they know we have them, but to make it clear when looking at a search that they will have to come into the library to use it.

Select which titles display on a showcase carousel or collage
We've always used static image collages that mimic Vega's showcase carousels on our Vega Discover homepages. This approach helps us maintain a consistent visual style, especially when cover jackets occasionally appear that don’t match the look and feel we want to present in our catalog. Ideally, we’d love a way to feature specific titles in carousels—with the ability for them to drop off automatically once they're no longer relevant—while still ensuring the layout stays cohesive. Changes to Vega Passthrough Search
In Vega Discover, when executing a passthrough search, the external link icon is used as a button. This UI is confusing to patrons, who are expecting the catalog name to be the link or looking for a button that looks more like the other buttons on the page.
When the passthrough search only has one option, the option is a link, and that behavior is preferred. Allow us to choose the display order in Vega when there are linked 880 fields
When looking at records in our catalog that have non-Roman vernacular script included in the 880 fields, it does not appear in the order in which it would best serve our patrons. I have included screenshots to illustrate how we purposely have the original language/vernacular script displaying in the 245 field so that it displays in the Title in brief results lists, and on the receipt and notices when patrons check items out for optimal patron service. Correctly Incorporate ISBD Punctuation in Title display
This is a problem that impacts AACR2 records, including a significant quantity of e-resources, government and vendor supplied bibliographic records>
Punctuation between subfields is treated as part of the subfield itself, causing irregularities in the display of several fields.

Sort Serial Holdings With Latest Issue at Top
We'd like Vega to sort the volumes in a serial holdings display with the latest issues at the top for easy patron access.
For example, we have People magazine, with hundreds of items in our holdings. With the PAC display, the lastest issues are listed at the top, descending from there by date, so patrons can easily see what the latest issue is that we have and can quickly place a hold (see attached file "pac-request-list" screenshot). Change the website title of Passcode Reset webpage in Vega
To avoid potential patron confusion the ability to change the Vega website title from Welcome to Vega to something specific to your library when opening the Forgot My Passcode link would be helpful. For example, it might read "Library Name/Abbreviation Passcode Reset," which should eliminate any doubts about the nature of the webpage.

Consortia and Hoopla Integration Within Vega
We are part of a consortium and have an enhancement request, specifically for our hoopla integration. Currently, we have to choose 1 library ID for title ingestion (Solano) and can choose a separate library ID for circulation (St Helena, for example). We choose the least restrictive library catalog to ingest all titles and then circulate based on the individual library. This causes patrons to be able to see titles that are in fact unavailable to them/not borrowable at their individual member library. Titles for Deleted Items in Reading History
In the public catalog, titles in your reading history will say “Resource is not available” if the record has been deleted. In Leap, you can still see the titles, but it will tell you the resource is not available when you click on it. It would be great if Vega Discover could be set up like the staff interface so customers could see what the titles are even after the records have been deleted.

Creating a Username in Vega Discover
Currently in the PAC, patrons are allowed to create a special username in place of library card barcode to sign in and use the account. However, Vega Discover does not have the functionality to go into My Bookshelf for example, and create a username for their account within the patron's settings. Is this functionality that can be added to the newer catalog in order to ensure that all patrons can have access to that feature?
