(Vega Homepage) Allow Kids' Catalogs to add early language learning for specific showcases
We plan to experiment with customized code to build this feature, but it would be ideal to have the option to add a customizable text bubble at the top of specific showcases within the 'Audience Theme' set to 'Children.' This bubble could be edited by library staff. Our goal is to include early language learning prompts within each showcase category, such as 'What sound does a dog make?' under the Subject - Dogs, or 'What is your favorite bird?' under Birds. Able to view the item Collection from the rollup columns
We know that patrons can click on the Location of an item, to see more information, including the item's collection. However, patrons are not making it that far... Staff are wondering if the item's Collection could be added to the columns in the rollup? As seen in the image. We realize it is one click either way (clicking on the location or clicking to expand the rollup) but it seems patrons like the idea of having it in the rollup...

Announcements - Permission for Content Admin
We would like to see Announcements (Premium option), which is currently under Settings > Page Customizations be part of the permissions for the Content Admin role. The person who handles our promotions for our homepage(s) would like to handle the announcements, as well (this is how it works for our website), but that would require making her a Site Admin, which is not appropriate - don't want her to be able to access all of the settings, nor does she want to see all of that. on shelf at location.multi : bib locations should be mapped to bib records
We have 39 branches. Our magazines are fixed to one location. In Encore, the bib location mapped to the bib record so that library users knew where the magazines were located. Now, we just see the message: "on shelf at location.multi". This behaviour is not what customers want. They want to see the specific branch locations.
I have attached an example below.

Location info/filtering in account portal?
A patron was interested in being able to filter their bookmarked items by location in addition to Availability, i.e. to see at what location(s) the bookmarked items are available.

E-resources: Remove "Note" if more than one link
We're very happy to see the full text being displayed for multiple links when clicking "Access Online" - however we would also like to see in cases where there are multiple links for the "Note" field to be removed. It currently only displays the label for the first link, obfuscating our other sources.

Improve Surfacing of Syndetics Content
Presently all Syndetics content is "below the fold." It would be great if we could make this content more visible through one or more options:
-Allow for direct navigation links on record detail pages.
-Allow for direct access to desired Syndetics widgets via search resultsBoth are available in comparable discovery systems, see screenshots. Both would ideally be optional and configurable.

Vega: Cover link at top of series' search results
The series covers, information, and linkage that are available further down in search results make tracking specific volumes and placing holds accurately much easier. Unfortunately, many people don't like to scroll and if it's not up top they don't see it, don't use it, and become annoyed. It would be great if a "See full series" link showed at the top of the scroll and took them down to the appropriate information.

Ability to use Level 2 Location Codes separate from locations
For example blaf - Level 1 is bl = LINC Library Innovation Center, since we're a multi branch we need this in the Locations facet.
But now for the af = adult fiction, we would like this to be a separate facet like we did in Encore.

Ability to upload sitemap (XML and/or TXT)
It is standard website practice — and has been for over 15 years — to upload a sitemap for google and other search engines to ingest. This ability would help Google and others to index the catalog's contents within Vega, improving search result rankings (i.e. SEO) for Vega Discover catalog content.

Please allow items to be automatically renewable in the system without effort if the item isn't on hold.
Also please reinstate the searching code to limit to North Chicago Public Library easily. In Encore we could put " DVD and C:239" to limit to our DVDs in one step.

Item record detail in popup - show status
Requesting to view the Item Status (Checked Out, On Shelf) on the popup when viewing Item details. This would be helpful for creating screenshots, which may be used for staff workflows, instruction sheets and support tickets.
Repeatable effort:
Open record in Vega Discover.
Click arrow for Edition Information.
Click arror for desired edition.
Row includes: Location, call Number, Status, Due Date (if applicable) and Message (if applicable).
Click (i) Item Details.
Popup includes: Title, Location, Call Number, Item ID, Barcode. *Requesting Item Status in this view.1 vote -
Hide specific Collections while keeping the Collections facet available
We would like the ability to hide some of our Collections in Vega, but still be able to display the Collections facet. Some Collections are only used by a few libraries, not the majority.

Citation export improvements
Some suggestions for the citation export in Vega:
1. RIS export only - Repeats the first AU field in A1. Solution: Remove A1 field from RIS, or first AU field if always identical to A1
2. RIS export and in-Vega citation - Edition (ET) includes all MARC 250 subfields when only subfield a (Edition statement) is necessary. Solution: Ideally just take first word of 250 $a, less ideally take all of 250 $a only. (Note: Endnote auto-generates the rest based on citation style e.g. takes first word "Eighth" and auto-generates following word: edition, ed., etc.)

Allow the hold note field to be used by Vega patrons when requesting a material
This has a multitude of reasons why this can be helpful. In our case use, patrons let us know in the hold note field that they wish to pick up their materials through the drive through.
