Standardize/improve the buttons and options at the top of search results
I know the information display on search result cards has been discussed for re-designing to make it easier for casual users. I hope that will extend to the information and buttons that live under the search bar but before the results as well.
In our catalog, customizations like the text strings and Vega guides have made it busier admittedly, but I would like the text sizes, button shapes, colours, and/or selectability indicators to be more consistent and arranged in a way that is more intuitive for navigation (easier said than done I know).
It is especially noticeable on smaller screens.…

Export list of titles when browsing by reading level
We are LOVING the fact that Syndetics Unbound pulls in reading-level information and readalikes. We anticipate this will be very popular with teachers and parents, and it would be awesome if there was a way to easily export a list of the titles available at that level. As far as we can tell, right now there isn't a way to add all of the titles to a list or export/print the list.

Ability to create high-content accounts for staff use
We use a staff account to create curated lists we can send to patrons as part of a personalized reader's advisory program. We've noticed that the high number of lists (>350) is creating marked slow-down and functionality issues in Vega Discover when logged into this account. We were told the number of lists is likely causing the issue. Consider creating the ability for staff to have high-content accounts for situations like this.

Sort the Limit By Collection setting list alphabetically
Content Scoping -> Limit Content -> Limit By Collection list should list the collections alphabetically. Not sure how they are currently sorted, but it is currently difficult to select these in a consortium setting.

display patron message (fixed field in Sierra patron record)
Sierra has a fixed field in the patron record that can be used by Sierra libraries in many different ways. It is not a free text field. It has a controlled vocabulary.
This field has the ability to block Patron activity via APIs and SIP2.
Libraries may use this field to request that library users have address checks, promote services, ILL updates, or other standardized messages rather than manually editing individual messages. If libraries use this field to block circulation, it would be helpful for this to display in the patron account in the catalogue. These messages could alert patrons…

display patron message (non-marc field in Sierra)
Sierra has a non-MARC field in the patron record that is used by staff to communicate relevant, timely information to a patron within the context of their catalogue activity. This is a free text field. It used to display in Encore.
Why this is helpful for library?
1) we developed workflows that include this field
2) Messages could alert patrons to issues such as an expired card, account restrictions, required updates, or other actions they need to take. Why is this helpful for the library user?
1) Messages can be targeted to a specific patron rather than displayed as a…4 votes -
Keep Existing Kiosk Homepage Configuration When Upgrading to Vega Premium
This seems to be more of a bug than a feature, but if you are a Basic customer and upgrade to Premium, the one home page you've configured, which also appears on your kiosks, is removed and must be reconfigured individually for each kiosk site (as well as collection sites).
While the documentation -https://knowledge.ag-software.clarivate.com/vega-discover/admin/ConfigureHomepage.htm - states, "Vega Discover customers can configure one home page, which also appears on your kiosks. Your home page can contain a maximum of five rows of content. If you have Vega Discover Premium or if your library belongs to a consortium, you can configure…

Sort admins
We are a special case, with more than 2000 admins. When we need to manage them in Vega staff > Settings > User management we would like to have some kind of sorting by name, or a search box which makes us easier to retrieve the person we are looking for. It would save us a lot of time.

Option to hide "Request any edition" button
We would like there to be an option to hide the request any edition button, so that patrons would always have to pick a specific edition. We do very little weeding of older editions and have a large collection of early printed books which can be mixed in with regular open access copies, so depending on the holds ratio patrons could get served up a much older edition of a book than is useful for them if they use the more prominent "Request any edition" button.

Add Polaris's "Street 2" field to address display in Account Portal
The current "address" information in the Account Portal consists of the Street 1 field from Polaris on the top line and the City, State, and ZIP fields grouped on the second line. Our library uses Street 2 for apartment numbers and would like the option to display Street 2 in account portal so that patrons don't think part of their address is missing from our records.

Limit loan period of renewal if patron's account will expire during renewal.
Currently our settings for patrons renewing their loans via Discover are overly simple--if the setting allows them to renew their items, you can choose yes or no to allow them to renew when their account is expiring during the renewed loan. If the renewal period could be limited to the expiry of the patron account, it would provide a good opportunity to remind patrons that they need to renew their account.

Allow for additional 3rd Party Integration
It would be great if 3rd Party Integrations for other providers could be developed for Vega Discover. For international libraries it would drastically improve the user experience if local databases could be connected for reviews (ex. Chilifresh) and author information (ex. Alex Författarlexikon here in Sweden).

Increase the number of showcases that can be added to a Hero Carousel
We feel the Hero Carousel is a good way to highlight items that do not have a cover image (ex. digital content such as streamed video).
However, it is currently limited to 5 showcases/URLs. It would be great if the number could be increased.

Add Google Translate plug in
Google translate currently works on Vega, but there is not a way to add the plug in to the header. Vega only has a limited amount of language translations built into the site. We want to give our patrons the ability to translate the site into additional languages.

please include 775 $a in Bibframe Concept: Agent (for translated works)
As the 245$c field is not indexed we are struggling with how to find authors of translated works. The 775$a often has the anglicized version of the author's name that appears on the cover of a work. This cannot be searched for right now because the 245$c is not indexed. If the 775$a were indexed, this would help.
Example:
Title of book: Cursed bunny /|cBora Chung ; translated by Anton Hur.
The 1XX and 6XX fields is the name authority: Chŏng, Po-ra,|d1976-|eauthor.The 775 field is this:
ireproduction of (manifestation):|aChung, Bora, 1976-|tCursed bunny|dHandforth : Honford Star, 2021|z9781916277182Please index the…

using the browser back button after logging in produces an authentication error
If you are on a resource page, log in, and then use the browser back button, there is an authentication error. The error page cannot be edited. The error page is not intuitive and provides no way back to the main catalogue.
The error is: Unexpected error when authenticating with identity provider".
That has not been well received by our staff & customers.

Serials: Issue Selection Modal box
When searching for Serials within Vega, and attempting to Place Holds, we'd like to point out / suggest two things:
• Add a Select All option and/or individual checkboxes on each issue (add ability to place bulk hold for multiple serials)
• Address the empty Search results modal / dialog box, since it gives users no feedback on what they're seeing when there are no matching results. It should at least show "Your Search Returned (0) results" or something.Attached first screenshot show a typical list of serials with the individual Place Hold buttons. This is where it would be…

Adding Irish as a language option
We would like to see Irish as a language option in Vega - we can provide the translation itself and just need the framework to be created.

Display the MARC 773 field and index 773 $t
We have over 23,000 bibliographic records in our legacy ILS that represent articles within serials and we continue to add new ones on a regular basis. We use the MARC 773 field to list the parent serial title, volume and issue number, and pages of the article, but this field does not display in Vega or Leap, making these articles impossible to find (unless a staff member views the MARC in Polaris.)
Also, 773 subfield $t is not indexed so these records are not findable by a title search for the parent journal, only by searching the title and/or author…

Unified Authentication: OAuth (or SAML) Integration for staff Vega Discover access
Our library currently leverages OAuth 2.0 with Google as our identity provider to authenticate librarians into Polaris LEAP. We would like to request the ability to integrate this same OAuth 2.0 (or SAML)/Google authentication workflow with Vega Discover. Since we understand that Vega Discover utilizes Keycloak on the backend, this integration should be technically feasible through Keycloak's identity brokering capabilities, where Keycloak would act as an intermediary between Vega Discover and our Google identity provider. This would allow our librarians to use their existing Google credentials to access Vega Discover, maintaining consistency across our library systems while providing centralized user…
