  2. Currently in Vega Discover, adding an item to multiple lists requires you to go to your first list of items, select the particular item in the list and then multi select the lists that you want the item to be added into. Can there be a new feature to add items to multiple lists within the search results screen for streamlining purposes?

  3. A saved search link just remembers the filters, but not if any of said filters were locked or unlocked, the lock status should also be saved

  4. Currently, when you renew an item, your checked out date updates to the date you renewed. Patrons have asked that it show the original check out date. So an item checked out originally in November and renewed in December would show the new due date, renewals remaining, and the original due date (not the date item was renewed). I suppose it could show renewal date, so long as original checkout date was available to see somewhere on the account (patron view).

  5. During our user testing, we received numerous inquiries from both children and parents, expressing a desire for the option to access both fiction and nonfiction content within the limited search view designed for kids. This feature may assist them in distinguishing whether the material is intended for leisure or educational purposes at a quick glance. This shouldn't be turned on by default but should be able to be toggled for libraries willing to make that change.

  6. When using a Kids Theme for a home page, we'd like to have the option to set the default of the search results page to Kids Mode or Adult Mode by default.

  7. When trying to export a bookmarked list to your email, it doesn't actually export anything to your email. Instead, you're sent a link that just takes you back to your bookmark list in Vega.

It would be helpful to have Vega actually export a text-based list to your email. Example in the picture is of the email you receive with the link back to Vega.

  8. In Vega eCommerce setup, you have to enter a whole dollar amount as a minimum amount that can be paid online. We require a minimum of $1.01, which is confusing to patrons if we configure this at $1 See screen shot.

  9. The library logo appears when on a library's collection site on a desktop computer, but on the phone it disappears. It would be nice if the logo could still display on mobile view.

  10. If someone joins online we set a default passcode and when sending out the details to the patron by email we encourage them to make sure they change the default passcode to something more personal as soon as possible. However, it would be good to have an actual prompt in Vega Bookshelf when they first logon to remind them to change their passcode or better still force them to change their passcode.

  13. Currently Vega displays the series information using the 490 field from the MARC record on certain titles which can cause confusion considering that the 800/830 fields can provide a better, more complete description for the series. For example, attached are screenshots from the PAC of two different versions of Spy Camp where one is the novel version and the other is the graphic novel, which is clear there. However, due to the 800/830 field not being used for the series in Vega, and the 490 field being the same for each (since the displayed series on both items is the…

  14. We've always used static image collages that mimic Vega's showcase carousels on our Vega Discover homepages. This approach helps us maintain a consistent visual style, especially when cover jackets occasionally appear that don’t match the look and feel we want to present in our catalog. Ideally, we’d love a way to feature specific titles in carousels—with the ability for them to drop off automatically once they're no longer relevant—while still ensuring the layout stays cohesive. Below is an example of one of our static image panels. Allow us to "favorite" titles in our lists somehow through Vega Discover or within…

  15. This is a problem that impacts AACR2 records, including a significant quantity of e-resources, government and vendor supplied bibliographic records>

Punctuation between subfields is treated as part of the subfield itself, causing irregularities in the display of several fields.

The way Vega removes the $h [GMD] from the MARC 245 field, and $b is present, the ISBD punctuation is also removed. {a [h] : b} becomes {a b}, some examples {a [h] / c} becomes {a } the : or / following the $h is added to the Genre field

According to ISBD rules the colon preceding the additional title…

  16. The current default selection for a MARC extraction is "All Records". If a user clicks submit by accident, this can take hours to complete. Default selection should be changed to " New or Updated Since <today's date>" as that is a faster extraction (and probably more used)

  18. We'd like to be able to look back and see what we promoted on Vega Homepage (esp. if we promised promotion for something).

With scheduled homepage layouts (https://portal.productboard.com/iii/15-vega-product-portal/c/772-in-beta-schedule-publishing-in-the-home-page-builder), we would like to keep track of what showcase blocks we have scheduled in the future as well as those already published (past events), ideally viewable in a way (table?) with what is included in the Showcase Block Settings - for example, title, start date and time, end date and time. This would be exportable as a .csv file. A minimum of time that Vega would keep published blocks would…

  19. We use a staff account to create curated lists we can send to patrons as part of a personalized reader's advisory program. We've noticed that the high number of lists (>350) is creating marked slow-down and functionality issues in Vega Discover when logged into this account. We were told the number of lists is likely causing the issue. Consider creating the ability for staff to have high-content accounts for situations like this.

  20. Please add select boxes next to each title in grid view to allow users to use bulk holds while viewing search results in that view.

The "Select All" and "Place holds" options appear at the top of the search page in grid view, but there are no select boxes for individual titles. It would be great to have select boxes appear in grid view. If this can't be done, it would probably be better to not include the Select All and Place holds options in this view either since not being able to select individual titles makes this feel broken.
