Add a URL option that opens the Patron Login popup but sends the patron to search or home page after login.
We are using the "Link to Patron Accounts" URL options from the documentation to send our patrons to the Login Popup when they link to login to their account. Documentation: https://documentation.iii.com/vega/admin/admin/Link_to_patron_accounts.htm
When we do this their profile screen, checkouts, holds, etc displays automatically. These screens should be visible only when selected by the customer. This is especially problematic when a customer is logging into their account in a public area. It is a privacy issue.6 votes -
Editing eMaterial Vendor Information
Sometimes patrons can be confused concerning eMaterials not displaying the app that they receive the materials on. Being able to edit the vendor name under Edition Information (Additional Information in our case) would be helpful in mitigating that confusion.

Allow Message to Borrower in Sierra to display in Patron's Vega Account
This is available in WebPAC and Encore and is the core feature of the message to borrower field in Sierra. Please make this functionality available in Vega, otherwise the point of the message to borrower field is moot.

Homepage Schedule - Publishing Record
We'd like to be able to look back and see what we promoted on Vega Homepage (esp. if we promised promotion for something).
With scheduled homepage layouts (https://portal.productboard.com/iii/15-vega-product-portal/c/772-in-beta-schedule-publishing-in-the-home-page-builder), we would like to keep track of what showcase blocks we have scheduled in the future as well as those already published (past events), ideally viewable in a way (table?) with what is included in the Showcase Block Settings - for example, title, start date and time, end date and time. Ability to Freeze Overdrive Holds
Many of our patrons prefer to control their Overdrive/Libby account through the catalog. There is currently no freeze option for Overdrive holds within Vega Discover. Not sure if this is because we don't import the Overdrive records into our ILS (Sierra) or not.

Add possibility to hide / anonymize personal information in the account portal
Some of our patrons have pointed out that they feel uncomfortable with their home adress being "protected" by just a 4-digit PIN and are worried about dataleaks.
We would like that fields like the adress, e-mail adress and phone number should be anonymised in the account portal, ex. w***.l**@g.c* instead of writing out the full e-mail adress. This way this data would be unusable if someone manages to access someone elses account.

Add LitText to the Literary Form facet
Expand the Literary Form Facet to Include Audiobooks with LitText Coding I am requesting an enhancement to add LitText to the Literary Form facet, as audio materials are currently not represented. Audio materials that contain Literary Text (LitText) coding should be included in the Literary Form facet to provide a complete and consistent discovery experience. Toggle "Display Showcase on Record Pages" for ILS Lists and Saved Searches
In the showcases made from bookmark lists, we can select whether to show the list on the record pages. This feature is not available for showcases made from ILS Lists or Saved Searches.
Some showcases from ILS Lists and Saved Searches may not be beneficial to patrons viewing record pages, even though we may generate showcases to embed on a website or to view for ourselves.

Special Error message for patrons who do not have a Hoopla account
Currently there is only one error message for all eContent errors: no message from overdrive available. This is confusing for when the error is due to the patron not having a Hoopla account.

Improve hold position for consortium sites
Could the hold position be refined so that a patron from Library A can see their position in line specifically for their home library’s copies? Leap already supports this—when the holds queue is filtered by the patron’s library, it correctly shows the local position.
For example, The Correspondent currently has 426 holds across the consortium. When I place a hold, Vega shows my position as No. 427 (see screenshot 1). However, my home library has several copies, and in Leap my local position is No. 11 (see screenshot 2).

Honour Sierra loan rules at the point of placing holds, not just at checkout.
This would ensure patrons can put holds on what they can actually checkout, by determiners like their patron type, checkout location and the item’s type. This would reduce frustration, failed requests, and staff intervention. For example, our corporate library collection can only be borrowed by patrons with a Corporate ptype. Currently when a title exists in both the Corporate and general collections and is available to borrow in the general collection, patrons retrieve an “unrequestable” message from Vega if they select to "Request any edition". More options for OAI-PMH
Please allow more options for OAI-PMH connections. I was told that currently, only recollect is an option. I was trying to connect a repository that uses Islandora at the moment, but will be switching to ContentDM in 2026. I would love for both Islandora and ContentDM to be available for OAI-PMH so I can get some local historical collections into our library catalogue.

Vega Admin - Locations lists
We are a system with a single listing for both Level 1 and Level 2, and all of our 'locations' (and future/placeholder locations) are Level 3.
1 - Level 1
2 - Level 2
3 - Library Name - Level 3
4 - Library Name - Level 3

Don't use Serials Holdings Records (SHRs) as an indication of of availability
Items that have zero item records but have Polaris SHRs on "Not currently Received " status show that they are "on shelf" at the branches with the SHRs even though there are no items at any of the branches. This had lead to patrons coming in looking for standing orders/ serial titles etc. that are not there.

Have Create MARC Extraction Request default selection be "New or Updated Since" not "All Records"
The current default selection for a MARC extraction is "All Records". If a user clicks submit by accident, this can take hours to complete. Default selection should be changed to " New or Updated Since <today's date>" as that is a faster extraction (and probably more used)
