1. New Advanced Search Facet: Loan Period

2. Improve Hero carousel scheduling

   It is great to have the ability to schedule content for Vega Home Page. This could be even better if scheduling for Hero Carousel elements was more flexible. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to schedule individual Hero images to be added and removed from the carousel independently.

   I would like to be able to schedule the hero block to display always (or for a defined period) and then assign dates for different images included to be added and removed within it independently.

   If that isn't possible, please add the ability to copy/clone a hero carousel so that you could duplicate an existing hero block and edit it.

   We generally post 1 hero carousel which includes different promo images which must be added and removed at different times. Currently, this requires recreating the entire hero block every time one thing is added or removed which means locating the correct images and links over and over. For Nov-Dec, I have had to create 4 versions of the hero carousel as different features are added and removed and I know I will need to add more as marketing creates additional content.

3. Reading History diplays pop-up warning with deletion.

   When patrons are deleting anything from reading history a pop-up window will notify them that (currently) their entire history will be deleted: "Are you sure you want to delete your entire reading history?" And if individual title deleting becomes a possibility: "are you sure you want to delete this(these) titles?"

4. Right-click on covers to open in a new tab

   When looking at an item record in Vega Discover, patrons should be able to right click on titles to open in a new tab (e.g., in the list of You May Also Like, Related Resources, Topics, etc.). Right now, patrons have to click on the title to open the record, see if we have it and where it's located. If they want to look at another title, they have to use the back button then wait for the page to refresh again, scroll down, and repeat.

5. author page hyperlink improvements

   I think the patron's would be better served if the hyperlink of an author's name went directly to the other items they have written and to NOT go to an author page. I feel like more patrons want to simply see other works by the author and not read a wannabe Wikipedia page.

6. Allow selections for bulk holds to persist across pages in search results

   When a user clicks on the new Selection boxes for bulk holds, then clicks to the next page to view more search results, the selected titles do not persist. I would expect to be able to page through and add titles across all of the pages of the search before choosing to Place Holds.

   If the selections are limited to a single page of the search results, there should be a warning or prompt when you click to a subsequent page that gives you the option to place your holds before losing them.

   Ideally, your selections should be maintained across multiple pages within a single search or even throughout your session. If the selections "empty" at any point (ie. on clicking to the next page or on completing a new search), there should be a prompt to place holds before they disappear - or to move them over to a bookmark list like "For Later".

   I can foresee patrons going through pages of new items and adding selections, not realizing that they are not kept across pages and then being very frustrated at the lost time.

7. Don't "smart search" based on mouse position

   In the search bar, if someone types a query and their mouse happens to be below the search bar, when they press enter, it performs the search based on the suggested title or concept that was where the mouse was positioned. This unwanted autocompleting has confused me and others, and I've only just deduced the cause (I think). Most search engines don't do this behaviour, so people don't even think to consider the position of their mouse when typing a search into a search box. It has caused frustration for our librarians and patrons.

9. Advanced search can be turned on at site level

   We would like to be able to remove "advanced search" from the kids cat, however it appears that it is enabled across all the collection and kiosk sites if it is turned on. We would like to be able to enable it at the collection/kiosk site level if needed.

10. Allow lowercase letters to remain lowercase in translations.

    We have noticed that in several places the second and third words start with a capital letter even though we have written the words in lowercase letters in the translation file. For Swedish (and more languages), it looks very strange when every word in a phrase or sentence begins with a capital letter.

    Some examples:
    "publisherInformation": "Information om utgivare", in Vega Information Om Utgivare

    "audience|general": "Allmän målgrupp", in Vega Allmän Målgrupp

    "audience|juvenile": "Barn och ungdom (0–15 år)", in Vega Barn Och Ungdom

11. Translation of "This hold can not be frozen"

    This message appears when trying to freeze a reserved material that is in transit or has already arrived at the reservation shelf. Our Vega is in Swedish so we wish that this message can translate to Swedish and other languages.

12. Allow editing of Vega site names

    It appears that editing a site name after its creation is not feasible. While the "Library Name" can be modified, there seems to be a limitation in altering the displayed "Site name" in your list of configured locations. Please refer to the included image where the issue is highlighted in yellow.

13. Default to displaying list content by newest first

    When a patron goes into a list of bookmarks, the default sort order is oldest first. I would prefer it if the resources I just added appear at the top of the list without having to scroll or re-sort.

    If a patron searches Vega and gets zero results, can the results page say something like, "Can't find what you're looking for? Try Link+"
