Sorting for ILS List Showcases
Thrilled to be able to create showcases in Vega Discover using ILS lists!
The lists seem to automatically sort to newest title first. We'd like to be able to maintain the sort order from the record set or have sort options once added as a showcase.

Vega Admin - Library Info Widget to organize closure dates
When updating the Vega Admin closure dates for locations, the dates seem to be fixed in the order that they were created. It would be helpful to sort these by either date added or date of closure.
It would also be helpful to automatically hide the closure dates in the past. This is beneficial in our other platforms, including Library Market, our website calendar with Granicus, our Google Business pages, etc.

Overdrive eContent integration in Vega Discover should work if libraries use SIP2 (barcode + PIN) for Overdrive patron authentication
Libraries that use SIP2 (requiring barcode and PIN) for Overdrive authentication have found that eContent Integration with Overdrive fails when enabled in Vega Discover. Customers cannot borrow or reserve Overdrive titles directly from Vega because Overdrive requires both barcode and PIN for the checkout process, and Vega Discover cannot send the Patron's PIN (it is encrypted in Sierra and not available to send).
Admittedly, expecting Vega to send encrypted patron PINs to Overdrive when the patron is already authenticated in Vega is an unrealistic and unsafe idea. Innovative support have already said that this issue is primarily a limitation of…9 votes -
Select which titles display on a showcase carousel or collage
We've always used static image collages that mimic Vega's showcase carousels on our Vega Discover homepages. This approach helps us maintain a consistent visual style, especially when cover jackets occasionally appear that don’t match the look and feel we want to present in our catalog. Ideally, we’d love a way to feature specific titles in carousels—with the ability for them to drop off automatically once they're no longer relevant—while still ensuring the layout stays cohesive. Correctly Incorporate ISBD Punctuation in Title display
This is a problem that impacts AACR2 records, including a significant quantity of e-resources, government and vendor supplied bibliographic records>
Punctuation between subfields is treated as part of the subfield itself, causing irregularities in the display of several fields.

Items with different content shouldn't be incorrectly combined into work displays
This is related to the suggestion "All metadata and content displayed for a work should use the same instance ISBN", but more specifically I'm seeing a problem with movies with different release years, but the same title (and same DVD publisher).
I can see this making sense for certain things - for example a book like The Grapes of Wrath, which we have several different editions of. The text is basically the same - there may be different forewords or other supplementary material, but for the most part it's less likely that a patron will be choosy about which edition…

Disable No Preference Selected in Patron's Setting
When staff members create a patron account in Polaris, our default notification preference is email. We'd like the ability to disable or hide the "No preference selected" option from Discover so patrons are forced to select one of our supported notification methods.

Adding Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Tagalog, and Portuguese
Our library serves a very diverse patron base, and, while some commonly spoken languages are represented in Vega already, there are a few missing that we'd love to see added to better represent our demographics, if possible. The languages are Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Tagalog, and Portuguese. I see someone else here has already requested Arabic and Urdu, so hopefully this helps too!

Make Message to Borrower field in Sierra visible in the patron's Vega account
This functionality is available in WebPAC and Encore and is a core feature of Sierra to the discover layer.
Please make this visible in the patron's Vega account for full parity, otherwise the Message to Borrower field

Improve Hero carousel scheduling
It is great to have the ability to schedule content for Vega Home Page. This could be even better if scheduling for Hero Carousel elements was more flexible. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to schedule individual Hero images to be added and removed from the carousel independently.
I would like to be able to schedule the hero block to display always (or for a defined period) and then assign dates for different images included to be added and removed within it independently.

Custom domain forwarding shown on Vega Discover sites configuration page
We would like the ability to see our custom domain links directly on the Vega Sites configuration page. While we understand that adding new custom domain links may not be within our control, it would be extremely helpful to have the existing reference links displayed on this page. Currently, we rely on memory and archived emails between support staff to track these links, but having them visible within the configuration page would provide a more streamlined and efficient experience. "Select" option when viewing checkouts, holds, etc. in My Bookshelf
Users have requested a "Select" option when viewing checkouts, holds, etc. in My Bookshelf. Ideally, this option would behave the same way it works in Innovative Mobile; users would be able to specify multiple titles and then renew them at the same time. The "bulk renew" option that was recently added to Vega Discover sort of addressed this, but users want to be able to select specific titles.

Option to exclude frozen holds from total holds queue in catalogue
Libraries should have the option to exclude frozen holds from the total holds queue that appears in any catalogue.
Benefits:
1) Customers will have a better idea of where they are in the hold queue.
We encourage customer-driven hold management, and customers have told us that they want an estimate of when their holds will be filled.
This is especially true when customers place multiple hold on titles within a series.2) Customers will not see inflated hold queues and provide feedback to the Library that they should purchase more copies.

The order of the operators should not matter in an advanced search you should get the same search results for whatever order you enter the same search terms.

Group hold
Group different editions together in order so once a format/edition satisfies the hold, the other holds will
automatically be cancelled. This can be useful for a user who doesn't care about the format and just wants any edition of the resource whenever it is available9 votes -
Additional options for different types of library hours
We have several libraries that have different summer hours than their regular hours throughout the year and some that have different hours for a specific section of their library like a children's room, for example. It would be great to have the ability to distinguish between these when posting hours, and not just to have one set of hours that can be posted for a library.

Add Option to Exclude eContent from MARC Extraction
We currently have Overdrive content as records in our catalog and thus the API integration to Overdrive is not being used for the records. We'd like to continue to have those records in our catalog so staff and patrons can search in other places (Leap, PowerPAC, Innovative Mobile App etc) but be able to exclude them from Vega extraction so the API can be used instead.

Show Sierra patron messages in Vega
We would like the Sierra pop-up messages to show in the patron account in Vega. We use these messages to communicate with customers. As much of our services are now self-service, we need a way to communicate with them as they don't come to the desk.
