Please index 245 subfield c for Vega searching. This would allow for broader author retrieval, especially when the name on the work doesn't match the controlled heading. For instance, "Tomb of Sand" cannot be retrieved by searching the author, Geetanjali Shree, as shown of the cover (and in 245 subfield c) because the controlled heading (100 field) is Gītāñjali, Śrī.

Make New York Times best sellers available as a homepage showcase
Vega has a list of the current New York Times best sellers, which shows up on the detailed title page if you view that for one of the titles on the list (see attached screenshot). It would be great to be able to have this showcase on the library's homepage.

Failed Extraction Alert in Vega Admin
Add an alert feature to Vega Admin that will notify select users when an extraction fails. Currently, when an extraction fails in Vega Admin, there is no way to know unless you manually check the logs. This can be time-consuming and frustrating. By adding an alert feature, users will be notified immediately or on desired intervals when an extraction fails, allowing the user to take action quickly and minimize issues as a result of the failure.

When searching by ISBN or other identifier for a specific format in rollup, have search results land on proper tab
This is more for library staff, but when searching by a standard number for a specific format, to have the search results land on the correct tab in rollup. For example, searching an ISBN for an e-resource will currently take to rollup but the book tab selected and not on the e-resource tab.

Item Status Mapping - Availability
Hello,
We would like to have additional Availability options for our descriptions. Currently it is a binary available/unavailable, but we would like an On-Order option for materials that are on-order.

Support indexing subfield $t in the 7XX (added entry) and 6xx
Currently author title entries in the 700 subfield t are not searchable

Denote items from Reading History in catalog search
It could help patrons with extensive reading histories (e.g. patrons using outreach services for retirement homes etc.) improve their discovery journey when they are logged in, if items from their reading history were somehow denoted in search results as, for example, "already borrowed" or "borrowed in the past".

Hold Cancelation Settings Enhancements
Add logic to Hold Cancelation Button so that:
1. Holds that cannot be canceled do not display a cancel hold button.
a. Particularly ILL type requests should be able to be configured to not allow cancelation button to display. Or to only allow until the ILL is shipped.
b. Expired holds should be able to be configured to not allow cancelation button to display.

Incorporate See / See Also authority record data in search results.
For example: If a patron searches for the author Noelle Stevenson, results for their established heading of ND Stevenson should come up.

Separate physical and digital checkouts and holds in MyBookshelf
Users would like to see physical materials listed separately from digital materials in Checkouts and Holds lists, or the ability to filter your list to see only physical or only digital checkouts/holds.

No Results - Customize Messaging/Offer Alternatives
When a patron gets no results and gets either the "did you mean?" or the search tips pages, would like a way to include some customized links to other options/services we offer, for example, our Interlibrary Loan and our Book Match services. Many patrons have no idea that if we don't own a title, we can get it for them via ILL. Or if they are just searching on a topic and not getting anything, perhaps our Book Match service may do the trick. Or just to tell users to speak with a reference librarian.

Let Vega use information from order records in ILS.
As of now Vega doesn´t look at the order records in the ILS. We have set the system to allow holds on bib-records with no items attached for books. That in turn displays "On order" in Vega. This method has some complications but works for the most part since there usually are orders on these bibs. But we would like it to also display how many items are ordered. It helps inform our patrons if it´s worth placing a hold on the title.

Prioritize 800/830 for series display before 490 field
Sometimes the series displayed on the item (i.e. what goes in the 490 field) is not unique enough to distinguish it from another series with a similar title. However, the 800/830 fields allow for this distinction by displaying the unique authorized version of the series. Therefore we would like the 800/830 prioritized for display and the 490 to only display if there is no 800/830 field. More Complete Status Information on Tabs
The following three status are currently used in Vega:
Available
Checked Out
UnavailableWhile Available and Checked Out provide good information for patrons. Unavailable does not. We'd love to be able to map additional Polaris Circulation Statuses either for display or as an addendum to Unvailable.
Primarily the Polaris Circulation Statuses for Held, On Order, and In Process are valuable at-a-glance information for patrons to have.
Given that multiple items can be on a single record there would need to be a ranking system for some statuses.

Display all 520 fields in record, not just the first one
We have many titles that are collections of multiple titles, such as Binge Boxes, that are cataloged with multiple 520 (summary) fields to cover all the titles contained in the set. However, only the first MARC 520 summary field displays in Vega, which is difficult for customers who are trying to find all titles contained in the collection. The table of contents is buried in "edition information--details", which is very small and not obvious to the average customer, so they often don't know what titles the collection contains. Creating a showcase from a record set ("ILS list") should have an option to dynamically pull titles from the current state of the record set
Right now, using the 'create from ILS list' feature to create a showcase from a record set creates a showcase with every record that is CURRENTLY in the record set. However, if records are later added or removed from the record set, they are not added/removed from the showcase. This means that the staff member often has to do the same work in two places.
If this change can't be made anytime soon, documentation should at least be updated to reflect that the 'create from ILS list' feature is taking a snapshot, not permanently linking a showcase to a record…

Creating a Username in Vega Discover
Currently in the PAC, patrons are allowed to create a special username in place of library card barcode to sign in and use the account. However, Vega Discover does not have the functionality to go into My Bookshelf for example, and create a username for their account within the patron's settings. Is this functionality that can be added to the newer catalog in order to ensure that all patrons can have access to that feature?

Update the Current Vega On Order Logic to include Suppressed Status Items
The current Vega On Order logic allows the library to select Material Types that will show a status of On Order when there are no items attached. The problem is that for older titles sometimes all the attached items have a status that we suppress from display because it's not useful to the patrons such as: Missing, Withdrawn, Damaged, Lost, etc. These items, because they are suppressed from display will cause this title to show up as ON ORDER when it's actually not and may be weeded from the collection soon.
