Support indexing added title (subfield $t in 7xx, 8xx added entry or 6xx subject fields)
Support indexing subfield $t in the 7XX (added entry) and 6xx
Currently author title entries in the 700 subfield t are not searchable
RDA uses 700's in cases where there are multiple works together42 votes -
Ability to create custom rollup rules
Add the ability to add local rules to assist titles/formats in rollups.
For example, a Vega library could create a rule that says Overdrive ebooks / eaudios can still rollup with physical materials even if the Overdrive MARC records lack a 245$b (subtitle) but the physical title MARC records contain a 245$b.

When searching by ISBN or other identifier for a specific format in rollup, have search results land on proper tab
This is more for library staff, but when searching by a standard number for a specific format, to have the search results land on the correct tab in rollup. For example, searching an ISBN for an e-resource will currently take to rollup but the book tab selected and not on the e-resource tab.

Failed Extraction Alert in Vega Admin
Add an alert feature to Vega Admin that will notify select users when an extraction fails. Currently, when an extraction fails in Vega Admin, there is no way to know unless you manually check the logs. This can be time-consuming and frustrating. By adding an alert feature, users will be notified immediately or on desired intervals when an extraction fails, allowing the user to take action quickly and minimize issues as a result of the failure.

Incorporate See / See Also authority record data in search results.
For example: If a patron searches for the author Noelle Stevenson, results for their established heading of ND Stevenson should come up.
or if Diwali is searched for, the established heading of Divali should be included in results.39 votes -
Add options to exclude content via facet selection
The current functionality of Vega Discovery allows patrons to filter their search results by selecting one or more facets from the left-hand panel. However, there is no option to exclude results. For example, a patron who is looking for books on history may want to exclude ebooks or audiobooks from the results.
This enhancement request proposes to add an option to exclude content via facet selection and or other means. This would allow patrons to refine their search results more effectively and find the most relevant resources for their needs.
Adding an option to exclude content via facet selection would…

Separate physical and digital checkouts and holds in MyBookshelf
Users would like to see physical materials listed separately from digital materials in Checkouts and Holds lists, or the ability to filter your list to see only physical or only digital checkouts/holds.

Renewals remaining
We use Polaris and our old catalog showed the number of renewals remaining/available for patrons. We've heard from patrons and staff that this would be appreciated versus the current view (number of renewals taken). Thanks for considering!

Show public notes and urls from item records in Vega.
Show public notes and urls from item records in Vega. We have many items with information in public notes and urls in our Sierra system and they do not show in Vega. We would like them to show up for the patrons to see.

My Bookshelf Personal Lists option to view in text format v.s. Images
In the My Bookshelf Area, which includes Checkouts, Holds, Bookmarks, Saved Lists, Reading History and Showcases, it can be cumbersome for those patrons with large lists to view them. Patrons (and staff) are missing the ability to view multiple titles without having to scroll and would like the option to view these lists in a text format instead of what is currently available.

Add a call number index for searching
After testing a few call number searches, we are realizing that this feature would work best if there were an index for call number searching, to prevent erroneous results from appearing in the list. For example, if I want to search JUST Dewey call numbers of 300, I don't want to retrieve the movie with the title "300". Also, for our world language materials, we use call numbers to distinguish between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and we are getting a lot of additional results with the keywords "Traditional" and "Chinese" in the bib. records. We want to be able…

Ability to assign or group target ages into a specific age group facet w/o manipulating records
We'd like to have ability to change the mapping of the Audn: Target audience (BKS, COM, REC, SCO, VIS: 008/22; 006/05) to a specific age group facet. For example, many catalog records have a blank assigned for target audience. Search results will include these records but they fall out when the "general" facet is selected. We do not want to manipulate these records to "g" when [blank] is a valid option. Also, we'd like the ability to group the target audience a (preschool), b (primary), and c (pre-adolescent) under j (juvenile) without manipulating the catalog records in our database.

Non-circulating Materials
REQUEST: Ideally suppression rules would be the same as currently followed in the ILS (Sierra and Polaris) along with requesting parameters. Would help with reference only collections that can't be checked out/removed from building but say 'checked in'
FEATURE DETAILS: Job Stories:
A a Vega Admin, I can expect Vega Discover to respect NonCirculating and Does Not Circulate flags applied to items and instances. As a Vega Admin, I can use the Material Type settings to set all X Material to disallow request in Vega.
Acceptance Criteria

Material type sorting to show physical copies and DVDs first
Currently, Vega sorts book, eBook, large print, audio CD, and eAudio. I'm proposing we change this to book, large print, audio CD, then digital resources. Most patrons search for digital media via Libby rather than the main online catalog.
Additionally, putting DVDs before Blu-Ray would help lower the amount of patrons accidentally ordering Blu-Ray when they really wanted the DVD. Re-ordering this would lower the amount of accidental hold requests for the wrong media type.

Add a Sort by Date Hold Placed to the My Bookshelf display of Holds
Patrons are accustomed to viewing their holds in order of the date the hold was placed. Ideally, they would want this as the default, but we thought it might be better to give patrons an option of how these display by adding the date the hold was placed to the Sort feature in Holds in MyBookshelf.

Create Graphic Novel format
We would like to see a new format of "Graphic Novel" which would not roll up with other books that have the same title and author. It could use the fixed fields in the MARC record when the 008 is for books with a 6 in "Nature of contents" (positions 24-27). This would help prevent us from having to add our own manufactured subtitles just to get certain graphic novels to stop rolling up with the book version.

Navigation between consortia member instances of Discover
In a consortia, especially one with many member libraries that share patrons, it is important for users to be able to move from the main/parent domain instance of Discover to one of the individual library sites and also to be able to navigate between member library sites. This is functionality currently available in the Polaris PAC and heavily used.

Denote items from Reading History in catalog search
It could help patrons with extensive reading histories (e.g. patrons using outreach services for retirement homes etc.) improve their discovery journey when they are logged in, if items from their reading history were somehow denoted in search results as, for example, "already borrowed" or "borrowed in the past".
