Leap: Create item record from serial issue record
In the Polaris Toolbar, when handling serial issue records, there was a direct action (called "Create Item Record") that would create an item record from a serial issue record. This is helpful for our staff for copying over enumeration and designation information.
That same action is not present in Leap. Our staff would appreciate having this feature in Leap.

Web System Admin "return to results" from a staff or workstation workform.
The new Web version of System Administration is great, but I was sad to learn when upgrading from Polaris 7.7 to 8.0 that the search filter box for Workstations and Staff Users is no longer "sticky". In 7.7, I could enter a search for one of our Branches, click on a workstation, edit it, close it, and return to my filtered-by-branch search. Now, when you leave a workform, you return back to the full workstation list. Same for staff members. I'd like a button similar to the Leap "return to results" button in the workstation and staff member modules of…

Conditional Required State for Fields on Registration
We would like to be able to control whether or not a given field is required on registration based on the patron code selected. For example, we have a "No Permanent Address" patron code where ideally, address would not be required when that is selected. Or, we use one of our User Defined Fields for Parent/Guardian Information, which we would love to make required when a patron code indicating a minor is selected.

Hide staff username or allow preferred name display for Leap
Staff have expressed concern that their Polaris username appears in the upper-right corner of Leap, making their last name visible to customers when screens are shared. They would prefer the option to hide or anonymize the display (e.g., first name only). While the username also appears in the Polaris client, it is less prominent and therefore raises fewer concerns.

Our libraries would like the option to "lock" the multiple holds in a group
Our libraries have mentioned that when staff places multiple holds on different formats of a title and then groups these holds for a patron, the loveliest conscientious patrons will go in and delete the additional holds, thus defeating the staff's intention, which was to create multiple grouped holds in order to expedite the filling of the hold. It would be helpful if there was an option to prevent removing holds when they're in a group.

Scheduled holds/checkouts
The ability to schedule holds or checkouts in advance would be a valuable feature for both libraries and patrons. Many libraries offer a variety of items beyond traditional books, such as computers, StoryWalk kits, activity kits, technology kits, and other specialty collections, that patrons may need to access on a specific date or for a particular event.
Allowing patrons or staff to schedule a hold or checkout for a designated day would help ensure that high-demand or event-based materials are available exactly when needed. For example, educators, community organizations, and families often plan programs, classroom activities, or events well in…

Bulk Deleting Authority Records With No Bibliographical Record Pop-Up
Currently, when I create a record set for authority records not connected to a bib record, and then try to delete multiple records, I get a pop-up that asks if I'm sure I want to delete the record even though it is attached to the record set (that I just created). I get this pop-up for EVERY authority record I try to delete, so if I delete 100 records, I will have to see this pop-up 100 times. There is no way around this currently and I'd like it to be fixed. It should be like deleting items in other…

Last Circ Date in Item Record that is currently checked out
The Circ Date in the item record workform (Circulation tab) is confusing. When an item is currently checked out, the circ date shows the date of the current checkout rather than the previous patron’s checkout date. This is confusing because it appears under “Last Use,” alongside the last borrower and branch information (see attached photo). It would be clearer if this field were labeled more explicitly or moved to a different area, perhaps below the Current Borrower (see attached mock-up).

Record reason for discarding items
We would like to put in a reason for discarding items. Records are being challenged in court and they want reasons for weeding each item.

Allow 3M SIP 2 Port for the branch to be viewed
Information about which 3M SIP port that is tied to each branch is only available if you have SQL. This request is to allow that port to be viewed in Sys Admin. Even if it was just part of a a branch's properties that would be fine.
It could also be in a table view format (like Fine Codes, etc.) but it would just be nice to see that information somewhere outside of SQL.

Easy renewal for all association members
My staff mentioned that they would like it if we are renewing a patron account, we could have the option to renew all accounts it has an association with at the same time. Ex: If Jane Doe comes into renew, we can have the option with the click of a button to automatically renew John, Jim and Jill Doe's accounts as well. That way all members of a family can be updated at the same time more easily.

Bookmobile address locations for hold pickup
Bookmobiles move around. When customers get the holds notice, the address listed on the notice is usually the bookmobile home address. The customer shows up only to find that the bookmobile isn't home. We have pickup locations for the customer to choose from in the PAC, but they do not have addresses assigned to them. If they did, we would want that address to be used on the holds notice. Can this be a LX starter and/or Polaris enhancement for Bookmobile.

Make the chronology date field manually adjustable in serial check-in boxes
When a serial holdings record includes a pattern for a completely irregular issue, and the only chronology date on the issue is the year, the chronology day and month chosen when the publication pattern was set up is used for all following issues checked in using that pattern. The ability to manually adjust the chronology date would be very helpful, and would ensure that issues display in the correct order.
In the attached image, the expected date shows the date that the issue was actually received. However, because the chronology date for the first completely irregular issue we received was…8 votes -
Additional toasts when receiving in Leap
A way to provide additional toasts in Leap when receiving items would be useful for particular alerts about items. This would be especially useful for processing notes when items are received.

Different renewal period to check-out period
In our previous ILS, we had the ability for renewals to have a different renewal length compared to check out length. For example- books checked out for 28 days but renewals were 14 days.

Ability to put an ILL back on hold for a patron.
Occasionally, we have an issue where an ILL has been checked out to a patron, checked back in, and needs to be put back on hold for a patron. But there is not an option to in the system. For example, in the linked images, the patron thought there was something wrong with the ILL, returned it, and we were going to reorder it. But we realized what the issue was after it had been checked back in. We were not able to replace the hold on the item showing available. We even went in to the item record to…

New Item record status - logical deletion
It would be useful for administrators and reporting if item records were not physically deleted from the database. Maybe the introduction of an additional item record status that leaves the record in the database but excludes it from all aspects but reporting and administrator access?
In our case we need to report periodically on item records being deleted. Once the record has been double deleted by a branch, I can no longer see it in Polaris, so I am relying upon spreadsheets captured at different points in time to capture the necessary data. Having a status of "logically deleted" could…

Separate held item periods for items with additional holds vs. no holds
We would like the ability to set one number of days for an item to remain held if other holds are attached to the same bib record and a second setting to set a number of days for an item to remain held if no holds are attached. This would allow high-demand items with waiting lists to move more quickly through patrons, while at the same time keep low-demand items on hold shelves for longer, increasing the rate at which they get picked up and borrowed.
Right now, we hold items for 7 days. For a popular title, that adds…

Allow searching more than 10 remote databases at a time in Leap
There's no limit (that we've run into, anyway) in the desktop client to the number of z39.50 remote databases you can search at a time, but Leap has implemented a 10 database limit. If there needs to be a limit, can it be slightly higher at least?

Configure notification options based on the loan period or specific items
It would be nice to be able to configure notification options based on the loan period or specific items. For example, we would like to send overdue notice for the public laptops that are overdue every 2-hours session.
