Batch Shuffle Hold Queue
We would like the ability for authorized/admin level staff to collectively shuffle multiple holds, so those at the bottom of the queue can be selected & moved to the top. Their order at the top wouldn't necessarily matter, as long as the group were all advanced in the queue.
Use cases: item recalls, where tech services staff have to place dozens of holds on items, all of which wind up at the bottom of the queue & need to be shuffled individually/manually.
Book club: we had a situation recently where staff at one branch cancelled holds on book club items…

New "Booked" status for items scheduled in the Booking Module
Idea: create a new status that references a scheduled booking for an item.
Value: Currently, Sierra does not change the status of an item that has a scheduled booking. When using the API to reflect the status of an item on a catalog, the item will show as status - (On Shelf) even though the item is not available because it has a scheduled booking for that time. This makes it seem as if the item can be scheduled for a specific time when it is already booked. When an item has a booking, changing the status to "Booked" when…

Save Query As - Alphabetical by Query
When using Create Lists and using Retrieve Saved Query, you are able to sort the list in ascending order. When you go to Save As a query, it goes in and there doesn't appear to be any sort of order (in the past I swear it went in the order it was added/saved). So if you have to tweak your query and need to Save As again, good luck finding it, esp. when you have 100+ saved queries. Ideally you could sort the list of queries, like you can when you initially retrieve them.

Make printer option defaults available by workflow, and have "send to email address" send only to staff email addresses
This is two fold. First, we would like to be able to set a default printer option determined by the staff users workflow (circulation workflow/function would default to "email to patron", and cataloging function would default to local printer, etc). So staff log in and select their function area and the system uses a specific printer default accordingly.
Secondly, we would like to have the "Send to email address" printer option changed somewhat. When selected, it would have a drop down of emails available to send to. These would be set up by the system admin. It would reduce the…

Modify Estimated Price Via Rapid Upate
Our Acquisitions staff does not use List Price when ordering, & is hoping that Estimated Price could be modifiable via Rapid Update. At the moment, this would help them modify 200+ order records, which they now have to do manually.

Decision Center: Pooling Report not based on demand
The Pooling Report generates a list of titles where "the pooling branch has more copies than it needs to meet 150% of demand". This is not the only reason that multi-branch libraries with floating collections have pooling collections.
Items in a floating collection can be returned to any location.
Could we have a pooling report that identifies:
1) Titles that have never been assigned or checked out at the location of the drought location
AND/OR
2) Titles not held at the drought location
Thank you,

OCLC Direct Requesting Ability to Map Data to Patron Notes
The protocol used for the transfer API (ISO 18626) does not provide a field for a patron note. There is a "serviceInfo/note" which OCLC maps to their Borrowing Library note. OCLC said they would look into whether there are any other potential options, but any solution would require development by both OCLC and Innovative. We would like to map data to patron notes or a Sierra ILL request location field.

Improve server security by supporting Apache module mod_security
With the increase in bot attacks causing DOSS downtime, it is important to be on top of server security. The Apache module "modsecurity" has been around for over 20 years and there is an active community creating rules (https://coreruleset.org/) to block bot attacks. I think that Innovative should include modsecurity in their Apache build and actively support or provide the option to its customers to include rules to increase server security.

Limit the number of holds to the total count of copies in that Bib
There must be a configuration in Sierra to limit the number of holds can be placed at the bib level. We want to limit the hold count to number of copies in the Bib.

Login indicator
We have implemented SDA Context User functionality so staff will open Sierra using shared library login and then add their own login (permissions). We would hope better indicator (e.g. color) so it would be easier to notice if personal login/permissions is added or not (or if someone has forgotten to remove their personal login/permissions). At this time when you open Sierra using the library login you can see "Sierra" and "local system name" on the upper left corner (in our case Sierra Helmet). When you add personal login your name (user account full name) will display too (in our case…

Add "last status update" to low & high circulation weeding report results
A "last status update" column in the low & high circulation weeding report results would help identify items for weeding or stock rotation.
Why would this field help us weed or identify items for stock rotation?
This item field identifies the last date an item changed their status. Many libraries change an item's status to "in transit" when they move an item from one branch to another. To that end, this field could help identify items that have either newly been received to a branch, or have sat on the shelf for some time.Items moving around systems with stock…

New function to scan items into Sierra to change an Item status to "in transit"
Our branches select which items should be sent to another library for stock rotation. Before items are sent to another branch, staff change the item statuses to "in transit". For various reasons, the branch staff cannot use Mobile Worklist to batch change these items to "in transit". The staff use Circa, but would prefer a Sierra integrated solution.
Why integrate this solution in Sierra:
Circa is aging out. We cannot limit Circa permissions to only change Item status to "in transit".
We want to use the "item status update date" to track when items last moved to a branch.
We…

Customise Encore 'Did you mean' offerings to prevent offensive suggestions
We've had a couple of instances where the Encore 'Did you mean?' suggestions have offered up inappropriate alternatives to the search that was performed.
The first example was that it suggested 'sex manuals' when a search for 'car manuals' was performed.
The second example was that it suggested 'American poets' when a search for 'African poets' was performed, to which our client took offense at.
We would like to see some functionality added to Encore that would allow us to customise what suggestions display and what do not display for the 'did you mean' algorithm. This would allow us to…

homebound rating
Part of the homebound module is to add ratings to checked in items for the patron.
The rating data for the Homebound module is not kept in the Sierra SQL database, but rather in a separate log which is used to create the Homebound Patron Report so it cannot be accessed through Sierra Direct SQL Access. It would be nice if the ratings were more accessible in the SQL tables. Thanks.1 vote -
Remove limit on number of links added to the Encore footer
I would like to add additional links to the footer of Encore but there is current limit of 6 links. Please remove this limit so I have an area in Encore that I can unobtrusively add links in Encore for patrons and staff.
