order the contents of facets by # of hits or alphabetically
With Encore we could select how our branches (collections) sorted. With 39 locations this is important to us. Ideally there would be a synch between the patrons "home library" and the top branch, but for now, we would appreciate the ability to sort locations alphabetically. Seeing a differently ordered list after each search reduces usability.

add 505$t should be included in title search
The 505$t subfield should be included in the title search.
Here is an example of a situation where that is valuable. If a library user is searching for Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle" and uses the Title search, they will only find the actual work "Cat's Cradle". However, this book is also contained in short story compilations. They will miss this short story compilation which may better suit their reading needs.

Add note when payment is made via Vega in Transaction Summary
Add a note in patron's transaction summary to indicate that a payment was made in Vega. For example, when a payment is made in the PAC a note is added to the patron's transaction summary indicating that the payment was made via PAC, as shown in the attached photo. Currently when a payment is made via Vega the note field is left blank not indicating how the payment was made. Ideally, the message should read "Payment made via Vega," but a note of some kind should be generated to indicate how a payment was made.

Library Info Dropdown - address wrap
Currently, addresses in the Library Info widget wrap text, as opposed to having line breaks like a proper address. I.e. in the images, the one labelled "Carbon edit" is how we want it to show up, but it shows up as seen in "Carbon widget". Additionally, words are also wrapping when they shouldn't be in other areas, as seen in the image of "Keg River widget". We would like this to display in the same way that it looks in the editor.

further integrate Hoopla for consortium sites
I would suggest the following change for Hoopla integration for consortium sites.
- allow the API to auto-load/update the subset of records that Hoopla can provide, rather than the entire collection of 1.5M items
I understand this will require coordination with the Hoopla vendor, so I also understand this will not be easy or fast. :)

Augment Vega search functionality
We conducted a test search for the following book title term:
fable haven
(The actual book / series title is Fabelhaven)It returns 13 results in our catalog, none of which are Fablehaven, nor did it suggest a “Did you mean fablehaven?" (Searching "fable haven" in quotes as an exact search returns 0 results, as it should).
It seems that the Vega search engine should be able to find relevant search results when this term is combined into one word, or should at least suggest “Did you mean fablehaven” in the case of searching fable haven as two words and…

Option to suppress due date
We would like the option to hide the due date column, since it's not very reliable information. Our consortium has autorenew, so there is no guarantee the items will be returned on the date that displays to patrons, in fact it's rather unlikely given the rate at which our items autorenew.

Call Number Should Appear in Lists/"For Later" and easier way to print the list
Super frustrating to not be able to create a book list for displays or patrons needing a large amount of materials on a certain subject, and also not being able to easily print the list with the call number included. If there is an easier way to do this, please help me out: leticiag@harvard-diggins.org

Allow patrons to opt out of different notice types
Some customers only want hold pickup notifications. Others want hold pickup and overdue but not courtesy notices. I believe the fact that notices are all or nothing is a BIG reason why our emails get marked as spam. Please allow patrons to select which notices they receive. Even better, allow staff to decide if a notice is optional. For example, we understand if patrons don't want courtesy notices, but we will always send a bill becasue their borrowing privileges are blocked by then.

Home Page: The hero should loop
Currently, when a user gets to the end of the configured images, they have to use the back arrow. It would be a better user experience if the hero carousel navigated to the first image.

Allow Vega Homepage Showcases to be used elsewhere (External Sites)
We leverage the standard Vega showcases on our website (https://www.rhpl.org) but the Vega Homepage showcases offer better visibility. Please allow us to use these throughout our organization.

Sorting Volumes Numerically - Not By Digit
When a patron is looking at a monograph serial title and wants to place a hold on a volume, they click on place a hold and get the option to choose which volume they want. The volumes are listed by digit, rather than numerically. For example:
1
10
100
101
102
103
11
12
13We would like to see the volumes listed numerically (preferably with the latest volumes listed first):
103
102
101
100
99
98
97This would help patrons find exactly the volumes they are looking for, particularly having the latest volumes listed at the top.

Have fields to hold translations for Showcase titles
We currently use English, Chinese, French, Polish and Spanish languages as options in our Vega Discover. While toggling between languages, I noticed that embedded showcase titles remain in English regardless of the language selected (I wasn't expecting it to translate).
Proposed idea: Could there be an option to enter additional languages for Showcase titles that can be pulled when the overall platform language is changed so that native Chinese speakers see the librarian-inputted Chinese Showcase Title instead of the English title? If no alternate language title was entered, it should default to the English language title.
Thanks for your consideration!

Consortia and Hoopla Integration Within Vega
We are part of a consortium and have an enhancement request, specifically for our hoopla integration. Currently, we have to choose 1 library ID for title ingestion (Solano) and can choose a separate library ID for circulation (St Helena, for example). We choose the least restrictive library catalog to ingest all titles and then circulate based on the individual library. This causes patrons to be able to see titles that are in fact unavailable to them/not borrowable at their individual member library. This isn’t the ideal patron experience, so we would like to propose the following: we would like the…

Staff user accounts: add library/organization field
To manage staff accounts across a consortium, we need to be able to associate users with each other by library. It would be very useful to have a piece of metadata for staff accounts that identifies which library(ies) they work for.
This would:
1. Make it easier to filter users when looking at the long list of all users.
2. Let people have control over the showcases created by others in their organization but not the entire system - currently, we can't let librarians publish their own showcases because we don't want them to have consortia-level control to all showcases.…17 votes -
Integrate Comics Plus API into Vega
We have a few libraries using Comics Plus, and they have requested that we integrate these materials into Vega. I understand that they do have an API.
