Configure Vega Fine Payment to a Specific Stat Group in Sierra
Vega fine payments are automatically assigned to stat group 0 within Sierra, limiting our ability to track e-commerce payments effectively.
We propose configuring Vega to use a custom stat group for fine payments. This would simplify our monthly reporting process by consolidating fine payment data from two PayPal accounts into a single report, reducing the risk of errors.

Display and Edit Hold Activation Date in holds list
Currently when a hold activation date in the future is set, the only indication in the holds list is that the hold says Frozen. Nowhere does it list the activation date that was set for it. This date should display for the patron, and they should also be able to change that date to a different date in the future, not just unfreeze it and then refreeze it as of the current date.

Shows 'Estimated Wait' for hold
Patrons have requested the ability to see an estimated wait time for their holds from their Holds Summary screen. Currently, they see where they are in line, but there is no indication as to the number of potential copies to fill the hold. If they are #5 in line, and there are 5 copies, this item will arrive soon, but if there is only 1 copy, it could be another couple of months before it arrives. Make the language facet use the language from 008 field only
The 008 is the field we would prefer to use for the language facet and no other field. The 008 only field is consistently used in all our records. We stopped using the 240 fields in bib records, because that caused problems in Vega. The only time we use the 041 is when a title is bilingual. It would be a huge amount of work to update all our bib records. It is complicated how it currently works, and search results are confusing.

We leverage the standard Vega showcases on our website (https://www.rhpl.org) but the Vega Homepage showcases offer better visibility. Please allow us to use these throughout our organization.

Allow Vega Discover to accept initials or partial names in author searches.
Patrons and staff wonder why Vega Discover requires them to type the author’s full name and doesn’t use a wildcard, for example, to extrapolate the end of the author’s name. The current search only works if the author name matches exactly.
For example, if someone is searching for books by Daniel Kalla:

Add Help Text for Nickname
Add Help Text for the Nickname Field to explain what it does to a patron's profile display.

We have a report of a patron assuming editing the nickname in the profile would edit the username. It doesn't and it is confusing to have it there without knowing what it is supposed to do. Only show children's content when in children's catalog/viewing children's material
When in the children's catalog, the Vega & Syndetics sections (Related Resources, Topics, etc) in the records should ideally only display children's titles. As an example, right now, when I pull up the Diary of a Wimpy Kid DVD, I'm seeing the Where'd You Go Bernadette DVD under Related Resources and A Man Called Otto DVD in Topics. We don't want to direct children toward adult titles.

Editable Patron Profile Fields - Edit AND/OR Add
Currently, when you allow patrons to edit patron profile fields like Email address, phone numbers, etc., you can Edit and Add. We don't want our patrons to Add in some cases, like Email, because when the patron does this in Vega, that means an additional z-tagged field in the record. Until Vega allows LX notices to go to more than 1 z-tagged field, we don't want patrons adding one and then wondering why they didn't get the notice to the e-mail address they just added. Ability to export record numbers included in a rollup
It would be nice to have the ability to export all the bibliographic record numbers in a rollup instead of having to click on the details for each individual record included in a rollup. This practice makes it very tedious to sort out incorrect rollups especially when there can be up to 20+ records on a single tab.

Volume in series searching by number
Can you possibly index the volume sub field within the record in order to make the searching of books within a series a bit more efficient? For example, searching Dog Man 6 and getting volume 6 of Dog Man within our results.

Export reading history
Our customers want the ability to export their reading history. There should be options in the format it comes out in, including csv/excel.
They want this because they keep their own records due to our titles getting deleted after withdrawal, so their Vega list is no longer accurate for all their reading.

Remove Grey Cover Images for Titles Not In Collection
In the "more in this series" area provided by syndetics, a grey cover image is displayed if the title does not exist in the collection. This creates confusion for the patron who sees a title that isn't there. When clicked on, it takes the patron to a keyword search, which creates even more confusion. We would like this to be optional. Right now, there is no way to turn off grey cover images without taking away a large part of Discover functionality. Copy configuration to and from kiosks and collection sites
It would be very useful for consortia managers to be able to copy the homepage configuration, global header, and potentially other settings from the main site/parent domain to kiosks and collection sites or from any type of site to another. Or, similarly, to be able to simply duplicate a site and then edit it from there.
This would save a lot of time when trying to create multiple sites that are harmonious in appearance and experience but distinct in content.

Syndetics Summaries
It would be great if the Syndetics summaries were accessible in Vega. In Encore we had Content Café, and clicking on the book cover returned a page like the one below. Patrons (and staff) really miss summaries on future release books we don’t have summary information for.

Have cover image change when a different format tab is clicked
Currently, when viewing a roll-up that has no cover image, the format text stays the same regardless of which tab you click on. This results in, for example, the cover still saying Emagazine when you click on the Periodical tab (examples attached). If the image could update and say Periodical when you click on the Periodical tab, this would be less confusing for patrons.

Add the item barcode to the Checkouts in My Bookshelf
Some of our patrons, those who are teachers or book club leaders, for example, borrow multiple copies of the same title on their library account. They need to control the return of such materials and do so by barcode. Unfortunately, Vega Discover doesn't display the item barcode in the Checkouts information in My Bookshelf. Please add the item barcode# to the Checkouts data in My Bookshelf.

Discover pickup location should default to 'select a library' not the first in the alphabet
Currently, when I library is temporarily closed for a renovation, we noticed different behavior in Discover vs. the PAC when it comes to default pickup location. We think the way it used to work is better.
In Discover that patrons registered to that library (who have no preferred pick up location) set on their profile... Discover will default to the first one alphabetically.
