Report incorrect images link in Vega
It would be nice to have a link in Vega Discover to report incorrect images and have a status note once its been reported so multiple reports are not being submitted for same image. Contact information seems to change often and can get a bit frustrating to get resolved.

For New Materials, Add an Item Date Option that can be used by Consortias
Consortias often use Item Date to identify 'New Materials' by member library rather than 'Cat Date' or 'First Available Date' at the Bib Level for new titles. Consortias need an option to use an item level date so that 'new materials' can be correctly identified at the member library level.

Titles for Deleted Items in Reading History
In the public catalog, titles in your reading history will say “Resource is not available” if the record has been deleted. In Leap, you can still see the titles, but it will tell you the resource is not available when you click on it. It would be great if Vega Discover could be set up like the staff interface so customers could see what the titles are even after the records have been deleted.

Default focus format tab in search should always be book unless format has been used as a filter.
When a user searches Vega Discover and has not applied a format filter we should not automatically select the first available format when frequently used formats such as book are unavailable (all copies circulating) because this can cause confusion resulting in an undesired request on the wrong format of a title.
A format tab other than the first default format should only be selected when a user has applied a format filter.

More sort options (Title, Most Popular, etc.)
We would like too add more sorting options to Vega Discover when on the results screen after doing a search. The options that are listed above for example will help with bringing the most relevant titles to the top of the results based on the user's searching preferences. This will promote giving users more options for better discovery.

Don't show hold cancel button for hold statuses that can't be cancelled
We noticed that in Vega there is a cancel button next to an expired hold when isn't possible to cancel an expired hold, and that option isn't present in the current PAC. We'd like the cancel button to only display when it can actually be used successfully.

Automated Best Sellers Club/Favorites Holds
Allow patrons to automate holds for new releases from their favorite authors. Patrons should be able to select their favorite authors to be automatically placed on hold for new releases or acquisitions from that author. Vega discover could also provide statistics on which authors have the most holds, allowing libraries the ability to improve purchasing for popular authors. This would provide an improved solution to a popular program offered by many libraries.

On Order Searching an sorting
'On Order Availability Facet - Allow users to limit searches to materials that are On Order' is on the roadmap for "later". We would love to see this added, including the ability to sort results by order date. We have developed a workaround by creating Material Types for On Order to allow these items to be searched and placed on hold; however, none of the existing sort options allow users to easily navigate these results. Users would like to be able to see newly ordered items appear first in the list so that they can check back regularly to see…

Add Hold Position to Holds List
We are finding that our patrons rely on seeing where they are in the holds queue to make decisions about keeping a hold active and have gotten used to this feature in Polaris PowerPAC.

Filter by Location Limits Updates the Roll-Up Results
When a patron applies a location filter to Discover search results, the edition and items are limited to the location(s) selected.
The roll-up tabs are updated to remove items and editions at other locations.
The filtering is passed to Vega Mobile so the filtering experience matches.

Volume in series searching by number
Can you possibly index the volume sub field within the record in order to make the searching of books within a series a bit more efficient? For example, searching Dog Man 6 and getting volume 6 of Dog Man within our results.

Displaying additional bibliographic information (Notes, Table of Contents, etc.) in Vega search records/results.
Right now, our library has to go through multiple steps to see useful information (like table of contents) or cannot see some detailed information (such as bib notes that we use to give customers/staff additional information about titles.)
For example, when someone clicks on a title, you then have to select the “i” to display the item’s listings, and then click again to see an items table of contents. It would make the most sense for everything that is in the details, be included in that initial edition display.
And similarly, we are not able to see the item’s 500a…

Can't see how many Overdrive copies exist
When I check to see how many copies of an Overdrive title the library has, you can only see how many holds have been placed on that title, but not how many copies there are. This causes confusion because it seems like the library has no copies of that title. In the attached picture example, you can see that the 'Atomic Habits' eAudiobook has 48 holds on it, but it says there are no copies. There are actually 5 copies. This issue is true with every Overdrive title, except for when the title is available to check out.

Include Local Subject Added Entry - Form Subdivision (690 $v)
690 $v is currently ignored upon ingest, causing Local Subject entries to disregard subheadings in Concept displays. We're attempting to create showcases based on saved concept searches for some of our local collections, rather than needing to manually updated showcases as new items are added. Subcollections with subject heading like Diversity Collection -- Asian/Pacific Islander literature, Diversity Collection -- Latinx literature, and Diversity Collection -- LGBTQIA+ literature all display under the concept Diversity Collection in Discover.

Better Request Failed Message
Clearer wording for the "Request Failed" box that displays when a patron attempts to place a hold on an item for which they are already on the hold list (this is prohibited in our implementation). This version of the Request Failed box says "couldn't find suitable edition for the request." Despite the new green alert bar indicating the hold status of the item, this error box wording would not likely be intuitive to our patrons.
The version of the Request Failed box that displays when the item is currently on the hold shelf for that patron says "request denied -…

Hoopla integration improvement
Recently at the Strategic partner meeting it was discussed that the current Hoopla integration will be developed further so that pre-defined MARC records lists of top 100’s or Top 500’s could be imported and displayed.
I would like to see this taken a step further and have the option for Hoopla materials to display on the roll up if there is a match to the existing physical holdings rather than the current all or nothing option.
This would really help customers when they are looking to get hold of materials as fast as possible, and in addition will help market…21 votes -
Discover pickup location should default to 'select a library' not the first in the alphabet
Currently, when I library is temporarily closed for a renovation, we noticed different behavior in Discover vs. the PAC when it comes to default pickup location. We think the way it used to work is better.
In Discover that patrons registered to that library (who have no preferred pick up location) set on their profile... Discover will default to the first one alphabetically. This is a problem for us as a consortium because now patrons are clicking through and sending things to the library that starts with A for pickup. Yes, they can select another one, but most will just…

Message about duplicate hold
When patrons try to place a hold on something they already have placed a hold on, instead of getting a message that they already have a hold, they receive the message,
"Your request for this material was unsuccessful
Couldn't find suitable edition for the request"We would like to be able to edit this message to let them know they already have a hold and cannot place a second hold on the same record.

Migrate lists from one patron barcode to another
Patrons replace library cards frequently. They get lost or damaged. Patrons move from one home library to another within the system. Patrons get a new card when libraries offer new designs.
