Create a new status of lost and not paid
There should be two statuses to easily identify lost and paid vs. lost and not paid billed materials. This would help make running reports much easier and help identify the status of lost items.

Custom keyboard shortcuts / hotkeys
It would be wonderful to be able to customize keyboard shortcuts per user.
I don't typically use 90% of Polaris features, and the other 10% I use very frequently, and most of those features don't have any hotkeys associated with them.

Provide additional details to PowerPAC usage statistics
The PowerPAC usage statistics provide a minimal view of the patron's use of our PowerPAC. We also use Vega Discover and cannot accurately compile information between them and with other platforms.
Examples to include/add: Total visits, total unique visitors, total searches submitted.

Limit the number of active BBM requests a patron can have
Currently there is no mechanism to limit the number of active Borrower by Mail requests a patron can have. It would be beneficial for all libraries to be able to limit the number of active BBM requests a patron can have in Polaris.

Search Sorting
As we move libraries away from the client to Leap, they are finding a few things that are missing that made their lives easier. One is to be able to choose how a search is sorted prior to the search happening.

Create Multiple Items in LEAP
In the client we are able to create multiple new item records at the same time and we would like this functionality in LEAP as well.

Bibliographic consistency check when editing bibs
In cleaning up bibliographic data after years of laissez faire cataloguing practice, we have run into a consistent stumbling block that requires us to backtrack. Certain bytes, especially in the 007 and 008 fields appear to require consistency across them to properly read at an item level (we became aware of this when getting red toasts scanning items for a weeding record set, that appeared initially to be in the inclusion criteria).
By way of example: If you input in 007 an 01 byte of 'd - Videodisc', than the 04 byte would have to be 'g' 'h' 's' or…

Additional toasts when receiving in Leap
A way to provide additional toasts in Leap when receiving items would be useful for particular alerts about items. This would be especially useful for processing notes when items are received.

Allow greater customization of slips/receipts
Currently, receipt/slip configuration is hard-coded into Polaris system administration. Libraries are limited in what information they can add to a receipt or slip and do not have control over design elements in sys admin. Innovative does not recommend modifying the related SQL job to make changes there. It would be helpful to have greater flexibility and customization options for libraries, especially for hold and in-transit slips. For example, a library could configure in-transit slip information to match what is required by their library system's delivery service.

Record Set Deletion Functionality
In Leap, after doing a search for record sets (ie. owned by a specific owner), you have to go into the record set in order to delete it. After doing this, it bumps you all the way back out of the Find Tool and the user has to redo the search completely. This is not ideal when attempting to clean up multiple record sets. Ideally there would be the ability to select multiple record sets and do a bulk delete (similar to how you can in the desktop client). Barring that, being bumped back to the search results would at…

Add "You Saved" Text to PAPI Checkout
When items are checked out through SIP2, Polaris includes the "You just saved __ by using the library" text in the response. However, this information is not available when using the ItemCheckout method through PAPI.
As we start moving vendors away from SIP2 and towards PAPI, we'd like to replicate the functionality of SIP2.
Thanks

Auto suggest volumes while adding items to a bib record
When creating a new item record on a bib, it would be wonderful if while typing in the volume field, Leap automatically suggested volumes from other items attached to that particular bib. This would help ensure standardization of how the volume is entered on each item record (eg. V.1 vs V. 1 vs. V.01) while also allowing the libraries to add a new volume number for volumes 2, 3, etc. since it would suggest while typing rather than changing the volume field to be a drop down menu of pre-defined options.

Report for staff user or workstation transactions
We could use a report based on staff user and/or workstation listing all transactions made for a given date range. Most importantly for us, cataloging information which could provide date and time of bib records being created and/or modified as well as circulation information for staff who work the circ desk.

Damaged Transition
We would like Polaris to transition items with a Circulation Status of Damaged to Withdrawn after a specified time frame. We envision this working like Lost Item Transition and the Missing Item Transition.
Adding this feature would allow a library to automatically remove items from a patron's record (but still retain any associated charges) and allow for a more streamline process for deleting item records.

The ability to check in multiple issues in Leap Serials
In Leap Serials, the ability to select multiple issues and then click check in is needed for large libraries to use Leap Serials, exclusively. The workflow of selecting each individual issue and then clicking check in is slow and tedious.

Move Leap timeout setting to SA
We would like to be able to adjust the timeout in Leap after inactivity ourselves. Currently, we have to contact support to do this after each upgrade, since it resets itself. If the setting was in SA, we could reset it ourselves after each upgrade.

Ability to view Bib circulations (Statistics) by year complete history, rather than just YTD & Previous Year
Being able to see a more complete circulation statistics for the lifetime of a title gives selection staff a more complete picture of the use of a title, in order to make better decisions about purchasing future titles by an author or in a series.

Add a parameter field for input to SQL searching
Could you please look into providing an input field on SQL Find tool searches to allow the library staff to easily enter a search parameter e.g. an items barcode, a patron barcode.
At the moment with the SQL FIND TOOL searches we have created, we must teach them to go to the WHERE clause and correctly change the parameter before re-executing the query.
A dedicated entry parameter would simplify the use and training of SQL searching using the FIND tool.8 votes -
Limit checkout to patrons from this library and branches
Most of our libraries loan the library of things and museum passes to their own patrons. However, since all members use Adult Resident patron code for their resident patrons, it is not possible to limit materials to their own patrons. Could a checkout setting be added to the item records, similar to the hold setting "patrons from this library and branches" and "x days past first available".

Different renewal period to check-out period
In our previous ILS, we had the ability for renewals to have a different renewal length compared to check out length. For example- books checked out for 28 days but renewals were 14 days.
