  1. Enhance operational efficiency and standardization by allowing the saving of Leap power searches beyond individual staff profiles. Currently, saved power searches reside only at the personal level, hindering consistent workflows and leading to duplicated effort. Enabling system- or library-level saving for power searches will allow libraries to establish shared, robust searches, improving consistency and ensuring critical search capabilities remain accessible regardless of staff changes.

  2. Currently, there is no way to adjust receipts. We only have the option of which fields and we are not allowed to put those fields in an order that suits our workflow. We would love to see Leap have a WYSIWYG editor so each library can configure font size, fields, etc. for each receipt.

  3. You cannot output or filter on Hold Pickup Areas in SimplyReports. Not being able to report on them limits their usefulness for things like looking at which schools are busiest or which bookmobile stops are most active. The information is available in hold request data and in transaction details.

    Although we can add it as a custom output that will only show the ID which is of limited value to staff.

There are a few scenarios where staff don't remember their exact password and get themselves locked out of LEAP: they are adjunct staff who work infrequently, they have just returned from a long vacation, or simply have brain freeze. In these cases, they open a support ticket, and I would like to be able to reset their account so that they can log in immediately, the same way I can now clear an object lock on an item that someone needs to use.   5. Adding the $2 validation opens the door to using so many controlled thesauri, like Spanish headings via Queens and National Library of Spain, OLAC's video game headings, Homosaurus' headings, and many more that would make searching easier for customers and staff by providing access points that mimic how they talk about their interests and information needs.

    It would be a step closer towards inclusion by using various existing vocabularies that institutions want to use, unlock more potential of the ILS, as well as improve authority maintenance overall.

Currently, when I create a record set for authority records not connected to a bib record, and then try to delete multiple records, I get a pop-up that asks if I'm sure I want to delete the record even though it is attached to the record set (that I just created). I get this pop-up for EVERY authority record I try to delete, so if I delete 100 records, I will have to see this pop-up 100 times. There is no way around this currently and I'd like it to be fixed.   7. It would be super helpful to have the ability to create a report in Simply Reports (Bib list report) that would update an existing record set, which would then automatically update a Showcase/Carousel in the mobile app.

    Here is my example.
    I created a report in Simply Reports, advance published it, and in SSRS I subscribed to the report and set it up to email me. (Receiving the report is just for tracking purposes. What is needed is the report to run and update the record set, to in turn update the Showcase/Carousel.)

  10. Add the ability to add a 006 or 007 field to records via bibliographic bulk change in Leap. Leap has the ability to edit existing fixed fields via bulk change and the staff client offers the ability to add a new 006 or 007 via bulk change, so this would be part of bringing Leap into parity with the staff client. Bib records that come in from OCLC often lack the exact fixed field coding requires to display the correct Type of Material in Polaris so the ability to add missing fields via bulk change in Leap will make cataloging…

  11. This is somewhat of an add-on to other improvement requests to the multiple holds feature. We would like to have an option for bib-level multiple holds. We have noticed that when teachers or book club leaders are placing the multiple holds and assigned to an item-level hold, they might get routed to a member library that doesn't frequently check their requests.   13. When checking out a stack of items via RFID pad, LEAP will only display the held item's patron's name and barcode. It would be helpful to have the item's title and/or barcode, so we may capture the hold without going through each item individually.

  14. On the information page for an ILL, there should be the ability to see what staff have interacted with the ILL or if a patron has made a change. We had an ILL get cancelled before it arrived to our library, but we can't tell if it was a staff initiation or a patron one. In the record for a regular item, I can see who has done what with a hold. This would be useful for follow up.

  15. Staff are requesting that the call number be added to items that are billed on the account tab in the patron page. Right now, the main item information is Barcode/Title/Organization [branch] so they have to click to the item to see the call number when they do a shelf check. Adding the call number to this page will help staff work more efficiently by skipping having to look it up on another page.

  16. In item records, the shelf location drop-down menu only lists the shelf locations for the assigned branch or owning branch. However, the shelf location drop-down menu in the item bulk change work form lists the shelf locations for all libraries in the consortium. Many of these shelf locations are similar. It can make it easy to choose the wrong one by mistake. Here are some examples:

    “Graphic Novel” vs. “Graphic Novels”
    “Adult New DVD / Blu-ray” (with spaces) vs. “Adult New DVD/Blu-ray” (no spaces) vs. “Adult New DVDs/Blu-Rays.”

  17. It'd be nice if fines could be ineligible for being waived by staff from any library other than the owning library. In our consortia staff can waive any fine regardless of how much it is and what library it's from, this also goes for lost and damaged items on a patron's card. This can lead to staff just waiving fines that they shouldn't be waiving, or accidentally paying out lost/damaged items for another library, which we aren't supposed to do.   18. No that we have migrated from Sierra to Polaris, the call number field is not included in the SIP response when using an inventory wand. At this point we only see the barcode and title of an item, which makes it more difficult to find identified items.

  19. You can set the title bar color and the login message for Leap. However, it would also be nice to have the option to set the favicon so when you have a test, development, and production server open, you could use a favicon to more quickly distinguish between them in your open tabs.

Our libraries have mentioned that when staff places multiple holds on different formats of a title and then groups these holds for a patron, the loveliest conscientious patrons will go in and delete the additional holds, thus defeating the staff's intention, which was to create multiple grouped holds in order to expedite the filling of the hold. It would be helpful if there was an option to prevent removing holds when they're in a group.
