Add the ability to export records from OCLC to Leap using the OCLC gateway.
Sierra includes the ability export records directly from OCLC into Sierra using the OCLC gateway. This allows librarians to quickly make edits in OCLC using macros, and export those records to Sierra without actually affecting the master record in OCLC. Having this feature in Leap would be great.

Add last patron modification date and modifier name to Patron Reporting
Adding the patron modification date and the name of the last modifier of a patron record would allow staff to narrow down when records were modified and by whom. The ability to track these changes would be particularly useful to Outreach staff who may need the statistical information about patron records they modified while working off site. Ideally, this addition should be added to the report outputs in SimplyReports and added to Leap as well so that public service staff can easily access this information. Ability to import files in Leap other than .dat, .mrc,.txt., .xml
We receive vendor records with file extensions .FIL and .001. We are able to import these in the Client but are not able to import them in Leap.

Change $ amount in POLI
At times our vendors send us a substitution for the item we ordered. It would be helpful to be able to change the dollar amount in the POLI when this happens so that the encumbered funds accurately reflect what is on order.

A note field that pops up at check out and check in
We need a note field in the item record that pops up as a warning box at check out and check in for notes that staff and patron may need to act on before checking out and in. Notes such as "Patron needs to sign a hold harmless form." Or the price of this piece of the kit is $250.00. Or "Item must be returned to this library." Staff should be able to close the window once they have read it.

Add "Mark Item Missing" to the Actions Menu
It would be useful to have a "Mark Item Missing" selection available in the "Actions" menu for Item Records. Not only would this be more convenient for staff who are unable to locate an Item that was not on the Picklist than navigating to the Details page and manually changing the status there, but hopefully this could be implemented in such a way that staff don't need the Item Records - Modify Header - Cataloging permission just to mark an Item Missing.

View titles when comparing bib records
Right now when comparing bib records, the tabs all show the bib control number, which at a glance are simply not useful, especially if you have brought up multiple records. I would love for the display tabs at the top to have an option to display the title.

Provide an option to retain the load-all after making changes in a record set. Currently if you load all, then make a change, it reloads the limited set of records.

Have patron emails say clearly if an item was not autorenewed
Patrons are confused by items that don't autorenew. The receipt lists the items out, the due dates, and the "potential" renewals. But if an item doesn't autorenew the patron doesn't realize it. It's causing patrons to accrue fines because they assume their items have autorenewed. It would be lovely if the email could list items that were autorenewed, items that were NOT autorenewed, then other items checked out.

Independent Manage Item Records Tool
First, let me say that I think the Manage Item Records tool found on the Check In screen is good. For basic item edits, it is superior to editing via the Item Details screen in many ways. It has better permission controls, better item history logging (see attached image if you're unfamiliar with this), and allows edits to more than one item at a time (a lighter, more intuitive version of Item Bulk Changes). That said, I think a few changes could take this tool from "good" to "great".

Tab session visibility is unclear, leading to records being locked unknowingly by users.

Ability to mark an item Missing or Damaged if it not owned or assigned to branch
In our 21-branch library system, staff need the ability to mark items as Damaged or Missing—even if the item is not owned or assigned to their specific branch. Currently, the process requires multiple logins and workstation changes, creating inefficiencies that impact service.
We've encountered lots of item management issues since migrating from SirsiDynix Symphony. Most recent issue was with handling lost-and-returned items. Specifically, when a customer returns a lost item to a branch that does not own it, and the item is damaged, staff struggle to process it effectively. Combined Notes and Dated Notes into one tab
Hi there,
When both Notes and Dated Notes are enabled, please just display them under one tab. It's tedious to have to check both tabs (notes for legacy notes, dated notes for new ones). It'd be better to be able to see all notes in one place.

Let patrons see cancelled holds
A patron said that it would be useful if they could see, as a logged-in patron, holds that had been cancelled due to them not coming to pick them up in time. It would be great if this also allowed patrons to reactivate the hold from there. Thank you for considering this.

Prevent patron's with expired cards from placing holds
Currently, our patrons can still place holds when their card is expired and then come in to get their hold and don't realize they need to verify their address so we can renew their card. Blocking patrons from placing holds until their card has been renewed and giving them a pop-up explaining that their card has expired, would be great.

Saving Registrations in Leap
My library is on Leap 7.6 and we have a problem when our staff is setting up new registrations. The “Save” button is right next to the “Cancel” button and when you accidently hit cancel there is no “Are you sure” pop up or something similar. We would love for this to be fixed! We've had to redo way to many patron accounts!
