Option to return to find results after record deletion
When a record (item, bib, etc.) is opened from Find results and then marked as deleted, it (and the Find results) are automatically closed. It would great if the record did not close (leaving the Results button available) or the record closed and returned the user to the Find results.

patron barcode change workflow to automatically populate "former barcode" field
It would be great to have a way in Leap to change the patron barcode and have it auto populate the "Former Barcode" field in a single step. Perhaps a button could be added underneath "Reset Password" for "Replace Barcode" that simply prompts the staff member to scan a new barcode number. Leap would then move the existing barcode to the "Former Barcode" field, and then populate the Barcode field will the newly provided number. Help us save a few steps! Thanks for the consideration.

Weeding Record Sets need to have Picklist Functionality
Currently, when we turn over weeding lists to staff to pull, they manually mark 'not on shelf - NOS' if they don't find the item. In order to make the new weeding list functional in LEAP, we need the weeding record sets to have the same sort of functionality as a PickList - a column where staff can either mark the item as 'Not Found' or "missing". Ideally the circulation status could be changed to missing at this point, removing the need to manually change these items in the system and remove them from the record set.

We would like to be able to copy an existing branch when creating a new branch, since often our additions are branch locations of an existing library that will have almost the same exact settings.

Sort By options in Leap should match those available in Staff Client ex. Popularity
Our librarians make regular use the staff client's bibliographic option to sort by "most popular" when searching by author, particularly when supporting the needs of children and families. Please provide sort by options in Leap to match those available in the staff client.

Prevent patron registration date from being deleted
I'm repeatedly finding instances where a patron is missing their registration date. At first, I thought it was migrated data, but after updating those records, I discovered it happening over and over. Please prevent the registration date from being deleted.

Add "Days Past First Available" to Item Bulk Change Options
The item hold setting option, "Days Past First Available," was added in Polaris 6.4. This hold setting is not currently included in item bulk change options and should be added in.

Libraries who want to begin using this feature cannot currently bulk change existing items to use this setting (or, if already using, change the existing value). Option to reorder tabs in Patron Record view
Polaris continues to add more tab options in Leap patron records (most recently for the Dated Notes), but the newest features frequently end up getting hidden in the More menu.
It would be really nice if each staff member had the ability to reorder the tabs in their patron record view, so they can ensure their most used tabs remain visible even if they are zoomed in or using a smaller screen.

Merge patron function should also create a new Dated Note
When merging patron records, the system currently appends merge details to the Non-Blocking Notes section. However, with the introduction of Dated Notes and the ability to hide Non-Blocking Notes, this information can be lost depending on system settings.
We would like to see one of the following options implemented:Allow administrators to choose where the system writes merge notes.
Have the system automatically write merge notes to both note types (Non-Blocking and Dated Notes).

LEAP: Add line item to EDI invoices and receive
We have instances where an EDI invoice from a vendor will contain materials that were ordered both via EDI and directly through the vendor. The EDI invoice in Polaris only includes the EDI ordered materials and then we add a line item for the materials that were not ordered via EDI.
In LEAP we are able to add a line item to an EDI invoice but we are not able to receive it manually like we are in the client. I have included a screenshot to illustrate this.32 votes -
Add a "Display Password" option when resetting patron password
When using the "Reset Password" option on a patron's account, it would be very useful to have a checkbox option to display the password that is being typed instead of a series of dots. By obscuring the password when typing we have found that our staff may accidentally leave caps lock on or type something incorrect - they would like the option to see what they are typing in these fields. More chances for automatic renewals
Right now, automatic renewals happen 3 days before the due date. If the item someone has out is supposed to fill a hold for someone else then it never automatically renews even if another item ends up filling that hold. There should be a schedule for automatic renewals to occur 3 days, 2 days, 1 day, before the item is due and the day the item is due so there are multiple opportunities for that item to automatically renew in the event that a hold gets filled by another library and that item is now eligible for renewal again. Currently cutting and pasting from OCLC Connexion Client into Polaris is cumbersome. Allow for complete fields and their delimiters to paste into Polaris seamlessly.

Improvements to 7.4 Item Language Field
Currently, the new 7.4 item language field is using the same Languages table used in patron registration. For patron records, the language preference field displays in their account in PowerPAC. Patrons use this field to select their preferred notification language.
If a library wants to add a new language to the Languages table, it will be added as an option for both item records and patron accounts. Patron notifications for holds that become unavailable
Issue
When a patron places an item-level hold and the item’s status is later changed to Missing, Lost, or another status that renders the item unfillable, the patron is not notified of this change. The hold remains in place without any communication, leaving the patron unaware that the request can no longer be fulfilled. Suppress Deleted Items from Staff View
With the option to retain deleted item records, results for staff can become cluttered with items that are no longer available. If we could suppress the display of "Deleted" items list on a bib (similarly to the suppression of "Discard" status items in the OPAC) this would allow us to retain item details for historical/statistical purposes without inconveniencing staff. It would be useful to suppress bibs where all items are deleted as well, but I can understand if that would need to be spun off into separate development.

Leap - Receipt WYSIWYG editor
Currently, there is no way to adjust receipts. We only have the option of which fields and we are not allowed to put those fields in an order that suits our workflow. We would love to see Leap have a WYSIWYG editor so each library can configure font size, fields, etc. for each receipt.

Combine items and statistics on bib record
Please combine the items and the statistics on the bib record into one section so that we can see circ stats and item status without having to click multiple areas. We need this data to help us determine whether an item should be transferred from another branch, repaired, or replaced. Attached is how it looks in Staff Client, and it would be great if we could see this view in LEAP.

If you are adjusting the column settings for Leap, the list of available options is not in alphabetical order. This makes it easier to overlook what options might be available to select.

Allow for customization of the Notification preferences dropdown in PAC self-registration
In order to require patrons who are self-registering via the PAC to choose a notification preference, please remove the 'none' option from the Preferences dropdown, or at least allow for the option to customize what appears in the Preferences dropdown. By removing 'none' - or allowing for the option to remove it - patrons would effectively be required to provide a notification method, which would allow the library they are self-registering with to easily contact them should any problems arise with their application.
