Set a maximum allowed price for items
The item price field allows for high values to be entered into it. Which means things like item barcodes or ISBN numbers can set the price of an item in the billions. This incorrect price can then appear in places like "you saved" receipts for patrons and on other reports that are then difficult to correct.

Prevent patron registration date from being deleted
I'm repeatedly finding instances where a patron is missing their registration date. At first, I thought it was migrated data, but after updating those records, I discovered it happening over and over. Please prevent the registration date from being deleted.

Alert of Dated Notes
We would like an alert to let us know when a patron has a dated note similar to the old Notes section. Even if it could flag the same NOTES word.
Trying to transition to using dated notes only but we need our circ staff to be aware there are notes to view rather than them going to that section for every patron to see if there are any.

Verify patron email address and phone number
Incorrect email addresses and phone numbers in patron records cause hold and overdue notices to fail. This results in a negative patron experience and requires wasted staff time for troubleshooting and manual data correction. Polaris should behave like other systems and verify contact information before using it.
When an email address is entered into a record, the system will send a message with a verification link. After the patron clicks the link, the email's status in the ILS will change from "Unverified" to "Verified". A visual indicator will show the verified status to both staff and patrons.

If Leap quick search doesn't find a record, don't clear the text
A staff member asked us to post this. When using the quick search in leap and typing in a query does not lead to a record, the text should stay inputted so the staff member can edit their query as opposed to having to retype it all over again when trying again.

Leap doesn't save or prompt to save notes when you close a record
- Open a patron record in leap
- Navigate to the notes section
- Make a change to the note field
- Click the button to close the note (upper right hand corner)
The note is not saved, nor is a warning message shown. This is different from the behavior of the desktop, which always saves the note when you close the record (not really the preferred behavior either since there is no undo in notes).
This should work the way changes to the patron registrations work in Leap - warn there has been a change before allowing the record to be closed.

More chances for automatic renewals
Right now, automatic renewals happen 3 days before the due date. If the item someone has out is supposed to fill a hold for someone else then it never automatically renews even if another item ends up filling that hold. There should be a schedule for automatic renewals to occur 3 days, 2 days, 1 day, before the item is due and the day the item is due so there are multiple opportunities for that item to automatically renew in the event that a hold gets filled by another library and that item is now eligible for renewal again. Functionality of staff changing hold pickup location on held items
Current functionality says "If the item is held at your library (the pickup branch is the same as your log-in branch), and you change the pickup branch, the hold will automatically change from Held to Shipped."
We would like this to function the same as if the item is not at your location and mark the item so it appears on the holds to transfer list. The staff will then scan the item to mark it as shipped. Allow for customization of the Notification preferences dropdown in PAC self-registration
In order to require patrons who are self-registering via the PAC to choose a notification preference, please remove the 'none' option from the Preferences dropdown, or at least allow for the option to customize what appears in the Preferences dropdown. By removing 'none' - or allowing for the option to remove it - patrons would effectively be required to provide a notification method, which would allow the library they are self-registering with to easily contact them should any problems arise with their application.

Find tool - additional columns on a Bibbliographic Search for Series name and volume
Our library team have requested to be able to see the series name and volume number in the returned bib records when searching with the find tool. It will mean they no longer need to open each result to see this information

Fulfilling holds in a particular order (Series)
I would like to be able to have a particular hold become active after a different hold has become filled. This is particularly useful for customers who are engaged in a series and do not want them all at once, but do want them in order and want to place all the holds at the same time.

Option to require selection of a Collection when adding item records
We would like the ability to made Collection a required field when adding item records. While we can instruct all of our members to have Collections selected as part of their templates, there is still the possibility of forgetting and having items that are missing a collection. Having a collection at minimum, and ideally collection and shelf location combination set on each item greatly helps wayfinding for the patrons, and we'd like Polaris to allow us to enforce selection of at least a Collection. Compare record sets side by side
Now that in Leap we can compare bib records side by side, it would be very helpful to be able to compare record sets side by side. Right now I'm exporting contents and comparing in Excel/Google Sheets, and then sometimes importing the results into a new record set. I'd love to be able to see two record sets next to each other and edit as needed directly in Leap. Apologies if this idea has already been submitted. Thanks!

Put Leap Column Find Tool display settings in alphabetical order or make filterable
If you are adjusting the column settings for Leap, the list of available options is not in alphabetical order. This makes it easier to overlook what options might be available to select.

Leap add option to add fixed fields via bibliographic bulk change
Add the ability to add a 006 or 007 field to records via bibliographic bulk change in Leap. Leap has the ability to edit existing fixed fields via bulk change and the staff client offers the ability to add a new 006 or 007 via bulk change, so this would be part of bringing Leap into parity with the staff client. Ability to block holds by resource group or vendor account
Library staff frequently place holds that can’t be filled on the records for e-books from non-integrated vendors like Hoopla. Canceling these holds takes time. Since we still need to allow holds for the integrated vendors, we can’t change the material type to unholdable in system administration. Adding the ability to block holds by resource group or vendor account would solve the problem.

Make the Icons on Leap Bigger for Accessibility
Being a visual learner it is complicated to go from the icons in Polaris being a much larger size and being in color to what is shown in Leap. The icons in Leap are much smaller and have no color to differentiate them. For the sake of Accessibility purposes is there any way that the icons can be bigger and to add a pop of color to them in Leap. Attached are pictures of the icons in Polaris from the toolbar vs Leap.

Make patron name copy-able in from Leap patron account header
Library staff regularly have need to copy a customer's name from their Leap patron record into our room reservation system. Currently you cannot copy the name displayed in the leap patron record header but you can copy the barcode directly below. Clicking into registration isn't helpful as a copy option the name info is in separate fields.

Create or add to an item record set from Leap check-in workform
Leap should include the ability to create or add to an item record from the check-in workform. Most of the functionality is already there in that items can be selected via checkboxes and all items can selected from the topmost checkbox. By adding the option to the Actions menu, circ staff could quickly roll items over into a record set for a variety of other uses.

Autoprint hold slips in Leap bulk check in
One of the key hold ups to staff embracing Leap over the staff client at our library is the need to click continue or press the enter key to generate a hold slip for EVERY item triggering a hold in bulk check in. We are a large, RFID library and these added key strokes required for processing pulled requests and book drop are a primary complaint and Leap adoption deterrent for our staff.
