Add staff reviews or comments to Showcases
Similar to something BiblioCore offers, add staff reviews or comments to Showcases. Libraries use this to inform patrons why a title was added to a list

Ability to assign or group target ages into a specific age group facet w/o manipulating records
We'd like to have ability to change the mapping of the Audn: Target audience (BKS, COM, REC, SCO, VIS: 008/22; 006/05) to a specific age group facet. For example, many catalog records have a blank assigned for target audience. Search results will include these records but they fall out when the "general" facet is selected. We do not want to manipulate these records to "g" when [blank] is a valid option. Also, we'd like the ability to group the target audience a (preschool), b (primary), and c (pre-adolescent) under j (juvenile) without manipulating the catalog records in our database.

Improve Reading History Search
Improve the capabilities of the mini search feature that only looks at the patron's reading history. We've had patrons mention some minor odd things like being unable to find a work in their reading history when searching by the author's first name + last name (only last name + first name order works). Also, mixing keywords from the title and author fields or using keywords from the title out of sequence fail to return results.

Material obtained from digital source displaying incorrectly in account
When an item is checked out through a third-party digital resource, like Overdrive/Libby, that is not included in our catalog it displays strangely. The list of digital items that aren't included in our catalog is extensive and forever increasing. I've included a screenshot of how it is displayed in the account records on Vega.
It would be helpful if these items displayed in a way that was less confusing. Perhaps just simply calling it "Digital Item" would be fine.

Add the ability to rearrange content-boxes from Syndetics

Allow patrons to opt out of different notice types
Some customers only want hold pickup notifications. Others want hold pickup and overdue but not courtesy notices. I believe the fact that notices are all or nothing is a BIG reason why our emails get marked as spam. Please allow patrons to select which notices they receive. Even better, allow staff to decide if a notice is optional. For example, we understand if patrons don't want courtesy notices, but we will always send a bill becasue their borrowing privileges are blocked by then.

Improve brief availability display
We would like the brief availability to be more specific than it is, similar to the way the PAC is in the brief display (see screenshots). It should have specific numbers rather than say "one or more locations". If it can't be displayed in that spot, then it should be displayed below the Place Hold button where it lists the number of holds and copies.

On the Shelf order of locations for bookmarked lists should match Find a Copy order
Collection Sites should show "on the shelf" information for the registered library or collection site library first

Hold notice confirmation displays the Email or Phone # the notice will be delivered to
This will help staff let patrons know where the notice will be sent when placing a hold on their behalf. It will also show patrons where to expect the notice to be sent to when they place holds.
The red box in the attached screenshot would say the following:
"Notice will be emailed (or texted to): ***"

Keep the Find a Copy link consistently displayed
Our libraries do not use the Always Show a Call Number Option. We only want a call number to display if it's the expected library for the patron. Because of this the Find a Copy link does not always appear if only a few libraries have the item. We would like it to show consistently as removing it creates an extra step & an inconsistent experience when browsing. Clicking on "Find a copy" is helpful even if only a few libraries have the item since it pulls up the whole list of libraries that own the item and doing so…

Better Request Failed Message
Clearer wording for the "Request Failed" box that displays when a patron attempts to place a hold on an item for which they are already on the hold list (this is prohibited in our implementation). This version of the Request Failed box says "couldn't find suitable edition for the request." Despite the new green alert bar indicating the hold status of the item, this error box wording would not likely be intuitive to our patrons.
The version of the Request Failed box that displays when the item is currently on the hold shelf for that patron says "request denied -…

Direct Links to Bookmarks, Saved Searches, and Reading History
Currently the only direct links to specific patron account tabs that are to Checkout, Holds, Fines and Fees, and Profile. There should be permanently available links to the other top-level tabs within My Bookshelf: Bookmarks, Saved Searches, and Reading History.

Better sorting for Edition Information of an item
We would like to have the ability to sort Edition Information for an item by other identifiers such as Availability, Publisher, etc. This will help with customizing the user's experience a bit more when looking at the particular editions that they would like.

Add the ability to refine results by genre in Vega
Currently in Vega, patrons cannot search by genre (655 tag). The ability to search or refine by genre would be really helpful, since patrons could then more easily search for genres such as "Picture books" or "Science fiction."

"Get it" Button and OverDrive
When a checked out OverDrive item is viewed in Vega's "My Bookshelf," the user is given the option to "check in" the item using a button to the left of the listing. Clicking a caret to the right of the button makes an additional button, "get item," appear which, when clicked, allows the user to choose how they would like to view the item (read in Kindle, read in browser, download ePub or PDF, etc). Although most OverDrive users will likely be accessing their items from Libby/Kindle directly, it would be nice if the "get item" button in Vega was…

Find a Copy More Prominently Displayed
We noticed that Discover users focus on the “On the shelf” list and miss “Find a Copy”. We would like to submit a feature request to have “Find a Copy” more prominently displayed. The three ways to do this in order of preference:
- Above “On the shelf” reversing the two locations + larger icon and font
- Next to “On the shelf” so both are on the same line + larger icon and font
- Larger icon and font where it currently resides on the page

Home Page: The hero should loop
Currently, when a user gets to the end of the configured images, they have to use the back arrow. It would be a better user experience if the hero carousel navigated to the first image.

show availability and format with our location at the top
See how in encore it shows NCPL items first and if its available. That would be great.
