Adjust Appointment-Style Calendar Date Selection
The green, highlighted date on the appointment-style calendar should be the date available for selection. Instead, it seems to indicate the day before the date of the event?
Consecutive dates will have some green highlighted dates that are selectable and others that are not.

Enable Booking Notice for Staff Use Only
Have the Booking Notice display above the form for staff equipment bookings. Currently the Booking Notice information icon states: "Specify any advance booking requirements or important information users need to know when making a booking. This notice will be displayed above the booking form." However, the notice does not display above the form when staff are booking from the staff side and the equipment is not visible to the public.

Add Email Customization Templates for Languages
Libraries should be able to modify email templates for the languages they offer to their patrons.
As a patron, Program should detect the browser language to determine which language template to use.
For example, a patron with the browser set to German who registers for an event gets emails from the German templates.

Templates save booking settings
It would be great if templates saved the bookings setting. Right now, all our templates default to "Bookings required" even if they were created or even updated to say "No bookings required." It's an extra step to remember to turn this setting off when using templates.

Equipment Booking Notifications
Send one or more staff email addresses a notification when specific equipment is booked for example, equipment in a Makerspace. Currently staff have to constantly check Program's equipment requests for bookings for their items .

You'll be able to schedule a report to be sent to specific staff for equipment. You could schedule reports to be sent multiple times a day.

Hierarchy for Category Colors
We'd like to use the color coding options, but for events with multiple categories, the color that displays seems to be whichever is first alphabetically. It would be nice to choose which categories take priority or to have a default color and only display a different color for specific categories. It would be most useful for us to have ages as a separate identifier that could be color-coded and have priority.

Google Maps Opt In/Out in Event
Our Pop Up Library and our Bookmobile travel to events around the county. Events for those resources show a map based on the "event location" selected. That doesn't allow us to show a different map location for a community event though. We had an event and the map for the event shows a completely different library system. We tried to suppress the map by putting See location in the Event Description but that doesn't work. We need to be able to add an alternate map/address or be able to suppress the Google Map for individual events.

Add a icon to show when a room is unavailable
Add an icon showing when a room is booked in addition to the colors. Maybe a circle with a slash through it.

Blacklist for Problem Patrons
We need a way to block problem patrons from being able to reserve rooms. It can either be a blacklist where we add the patron barcode or have Vega Program look at the MBlock in Sierra or the Polaris equivalent and deny that way.

Allow for alternate registration limitation in Vega Program
In addition to the age limits for Program Registration, it would be helpful to be able to limit by grade.
While age is a useful limit for early learning programs, many school age programs are limited by grade range. The option to select limit by grade, and then define the grades that can register, would help libraries when determining who can register for a program. Currently, libraries have to determine the age for the program based on the school registration birthday cut off, and that may not accurately reflect who is eligible to register. Use patron record number as the primary system ID rather than barcode
It appears the system might be using patron barcode as the primary ID for patron records rather than patron record number. This is problematic when a patron loses their barcode and it needs to be replaced or, as mentioned in another idea, the patron has multiple barcodes for some reason. This makes it difficult for a patron to keep track of their past programs, as well as their waitlists, which no longer function if their barcode changes. Would also probably require a way to merge records that exist with the same patron record number.

When you click on the STATS page and you scroll down to see the branch stats, it would be nice to be able to click on each category and have it further break down to list each program you did in that category and the attendance there.
We are using private categories and cannot even see those categories on our excel report, so if we could click on a category from that view and have it open one level further to list our programs, it would also be a quick way to check and make sure a branch has all…4 votes -
Granular permissions for the Equipment booking
Libraries are interested in using equipment booking for their maker space as well as the equipment used in a room. Those are different staff members jobs. It would be great if the library can set the permission based on the category of the equipment.

notify me when registration opens
If registration opens on a certain date in the future, we'd appreciate a "Remind me when registration opens" option, so the interested party would get a notification on the day registration opens to register themselves.

Make an actual end time in the event entry area instead of hours/duration
Could you make it so you can put an end time in the end time field when you're entering an event? Or at least make more options than a four hour limit? Putting in custom minutes for events that are longer than that isn't very appealing. Thanks for considering!

Add "Registration Closed" to the List View
Currently in the list view of upcoming Events, you see "Fully Booked", but it is not clear whether the waiting list is still open. The user would need to select the event and scroll down to see "it's not currently possible to join the waiting list".

Staff side: Search Events - include an option for ALL under Status
On the Home screen, the Search Events function allows us to limit to a number of status options, but there is no option to search all status types.
Having an "All" option which returns every status type would be beneficial to staff event tracking workflows by allowing them to run a single search for all status types rather than separate searches for "All Approved Events", "Pending Approval", "Cancelled" etc.

"Log statistics" feature - Ability to add a title field and edit submitted entries
It's a great feature, but seems a little bare-bones at the moment? It would be fantastic to add a title field so that we know what program these additional attendance numbers are coming from, and also to be able to edit logged hours in case there's a mistake. Thank you!

Statistics on demographic data
The libraries in a cooperative would find it valuable to get demographic data on who is registering for events. If the person registering for a program is an existing library patron and Vega Program is connecting over to Polaris/Sierra to validate anyway, it ought to be possible to grab demographic data to report on.
It would also be helpful to get data on people who register for programs but don't have a library account. There could be an "opt-in" checkbox on the registration form to facilitate communicating through Vega Promote campaigns.2 votes
