  1. Send one or more staff email addresses a notification when specific equipment is booked for example, equipment in a Makerspace. Currently staff have to constantly check Program's equipment requests for bookings for their items .

    You'll be able to schedule a report to be sent to specific staff for equipment. You could schedule reports to be sent multiple times a day.

  2. Previously, other events in matching categories displayed at the bottom of the individual event pages. If they were removed to reduce scrolling, the addition of a category button or something that takes up less room could help patrons find similar events. We find that the "Similarly Named Events" section doesn't accurately reflect related programs.

  3. It would be great if templates saved the bookings setting. Right now, all our templates default to "Bookings required" even if they were created or even updated to say "No bookings required." It's an extra step to remember to turn this setting off when using templates.

  4. Our Pop Up Library and our Bookmobile travel to events around the county. Events for those resources show a map based on the "event location" selected. That doesn't allow us to show a different map location for a community event though. We had an event and the map for the event shows a completely different library system. We tried to suppress the map by putting See location in the Event Description but that doesn't work. We need to be able to add an alternate map/address or be able to suppress the Google Map for individual events.

  6. The green, highlighted date on the appointment-style calendar should be the date available for selection. Instead, it seems to indicate the day before the date of the event?

    Consecutive dates will have some green highlighted dates that are selectable and others that are not.

  9. Expansion of the submitted idea: "Option for library staff to get email notification when patrons register for events"

    Staff would like to be notified when patrons select the "Remind me" button and enter their email address for events that do NOT require registration. Even though the event doesn't require registration, it is helpful in planning to see how many people have expressed interest.

  10. It would be really nice if Vega Program would prevent a patron from registering for multiple events occurring at the same time, since they cannot possibly attend more than one at a time. An alert - via email, text (when available), or pop-up that either 1) the registration cannot be completed because they are registered for another event or 2) offer to cancel their existing registration and complete the current one.

  11. We have had to add the "ages" (for teens, for seniors, etc.) to our categories.

    It would be ideal if ages were a separate dropdown that patrons could use in addition to categories and locations/libraries.

    This would make it easier for patrons to filter information more effectively.

  12. Currently in the list view of upcoming Events, you see "Fully Booked", but it is not clear whether the waiting list is still open. The user would need to select the event and scroll down to see "it's not currently possible to join the waiting list".
    To avoid extra clicks and scrolling, it would be good to add "Registration Closed" to the list view.

  13. Could you make it so you can put an end time in the end time field when you're entering an event? Or at least make more options than a four hour limit? Putting in custom minutes for events that are longer than that isn't very appealing. Thanks for considering!

  14. On the Home screen, the Search Events function allows us to limit to a number of status options, but there is no option to search all status types.

    Having an "All" option which returns every status type would be beneficial to staff event tracking workflows by allowing them to run a single search for all status types rather than separate searches for "All Approved Events", "Pending Approval", "Cancelled" etc.

  15. Several libraries in our consortium have multiple study rooms. They want to limit patrons to a single 'study room' booking across all of their study rooms for a given time period (e.g. Jane Doe can only book a single study room each day, but the next day she can book a room again, etc.).

    Currently, they can limit bookings for an individual room, but the patron can just sign up for another room later that day (and go through them all in turn). I guess staff can monitor and delete duplicate bookings, and dedicated patrons will undoubtedly find other workarounds.

  16. Libraries are interested in using equipment booking for their maker space as well as the equipment used in a room. Those are different staff members jobs. It would be great if the library can set the permission based on the category of the equipment.

  18. When you view location options in the Check Availability tab, you have the option to select whole locations (checking the location box, and all the rooms are selected from that location). In the Booking Search tab, all the rooms are just separate, and there's not a way to pick a location and have all the rooms selected at once. A minor concern, but if there's a way to make those dropdowns the same, that would be awesome.

  19. We need a way to block problem patrons from being able to reserve rooms. It can either be a blacklist where we add the patron barcode or have Vega Program look at the MBlock in Sierra or the Polaris equivalent and deny that way.

  20. If registration opens on a certain date in the future, we'd appreciate a "Remind me when registration opens" option, so the interested party would get a notification on the day registration opens to register themselves.
