  1. Provide an option to schedule bulk fee waive in records on a reoccurring basis, such as daily, monthly, or other specified intervals. At the moment you can only select one date and run it once.

  2. Within the bibliographic record, occasionally there are duplicate fields. We need a way to easily detect them, especially with bibs upon bibs that are merged. We end up with a ton of duplicate 035 fields.

  3. In Leap, after doing a search for record sets (ie. owned by a specific owner), you have to go into the record set in order to delete it. After doing this, it bumps you all the way back out of the Find Tool and the user has to redo the search completely. This is not ideal when attempting to clean up multiple record sets. Ideally there would be the ability to select multiple record sets and do a bulk delete (similar to how you can in the desktop client). Barring that, being bumped back to the search results would at…

  5. My staff mentioned that they would like it if we are renewing a patron account, we could have the option to renew all accounts it has an association with at the same time. Ex: If Jane Doe comes into renew, we can have the option with the click of a button to automatically renew John, Jim and Jill Doe's accounts as well. That way all members of a family can be updated at the same time more easily.

  6. Please expand the search functionality to include searching and pulling results for both the 024#a MARC tag, as well as 020#a

  7. We recently began integrating Polaris with cloudLibrary in an effort to keep our collection more up-to-date and have patrons' Polaris accounts reflect their cloudLibrary borrowing. Unfortunately, our results have been inconsistent because while the Polaris/cloudLibrary connection works, there is not a fluid integration between Polaris, cloudLibrary, and BiblioCommons, where patrons are also able to check out cloudLibrary titles. We would like to see full integration between all three vendors so that transactions on any platform are properly communicated to the others.

  9. When using the INN-Reach Check In option in Polaris we would like it to display where the item is being transferred to. This can be done with a pop up display to acknowledge the transfer location or displaying it on the check in log after check in happens.

    Currently staff notice status went to transferred and need to open up the request to see where the patron chose to switch their request to.

    We know we can have Polaris print the ILL transit slip but we prefer not to waste the paper to basically quickly see where to send it.

  10. Have the Call Number (082 #a) drop into the Classification field in the Item Record when the item moves from On Order to Received.

    This function would most benefit staff who catalogue (or import full catalogue records) and then manage the Purchase Order process.

    The goal is to reduce the room for error when adding items.

  11. We would like to request that transit slips print for INN-Reach items that have been borrowed by our patrons and need to be returned. When these items are checked in, no transit slips print for us to easily return them to the lending libraries. We came from Sierra, where this was standard. Adding the return transit receipt would streamline our workload back to what it was before migration as we won't have to look up these codes manually. It will also help staff recognize that the returned item is not ours and needs to go back to another library.

  12. It would be wonderful to be able to customize keyboard shortcuts per user.

    I don't typically use 90% of Polaris features, and the other 10% I use very frequently, and most of those features don't have any hotkeys associated with them.

  13. It would be helpful if Polaris could integrate with Skyward and TeacherEase Student Integration Systems. We currently provide service for a number of K-12 schools and it would be helpful if fines/fees could be transferred to the primary system a school uses.

  14. In PolarisAdmin, it would be great to have a few additional filters other than the text box filter.

    • Show non-default (would show any setting that wasn't at its default value)
    • Show system/library/branch level (one for each, to show settings that were set at specific levels within Polaris SA)

    This would allow for quick scans for changed settings that might be causing issues or problems. Especially in places where there are a wide range of settings that are largely kept at their default values (I'm looking at you Self-Check Unit Parameters).

  16. Could you please look into providing an input field on SQL Find tool searches to allow the library staff to easily enter a search parameter e.g. an items barcode, a patron barcode.
    At the moment with the SQL FIND TOOL searches we have created, we must teach them to go to the WHERE clause and correctly change the parameter before re-executing the query.
    A dedicated entry parameter would simplify the use and training of SQL searching using the FIND tool.

  17. When you use SimplyReports (née Simply Reports) and create a report and select a LIBRARY, the report data is actually using the branches at the time the report was created. It is essentially a branch level report with the branches a the time of report creation.

    This means that if you save the report, then you add a branch, that branch is NOT included in the report output. This causes confusion and extra work. There should be an option to truly make a "LIBRARY" level report, or part of the process of adding a new branch should go back and…

  19. The one Renew button that renews both the Expiration Date and Address Check Date at the same time is creating an issue for us when a patron has two different dates. Two separate Renew buttons might resolve this issue.

  20. We would like Polaris to transition items with a Circulation Status of Damaged to Withdrawn after a specified time frame. We envision this working like Lost Item Transition and the Missing Item Transition.

    Adding this feature would allow a library to automatically remove items from a patron's record (but still retain any associated charges) and allow for a more streamline process for deleting item records.
