Allow libraries to reset staff accounts that are locked out
There are a few scenarios where staff don't remember their exact password and get themselves locked out of LEAP: they are adjunct staff who work infrequently, they have just returned from a long vacation, or simply have brain freeze. In these cases, they open a support ticket, and I would like to be able to reset their account so that they can log in immediately, the same way I can now clear an object lock on an item that someone needs to use. Thanks for considering!

Add pickup area support to SimplyReports
You cannot output or filter on Hold Pickup Areas in SimplyReports. Not being able to report on them limits their usefulness for things like looking at which schools are busiest or which bookmobile stops are most active. The information is available in hold request data and in transaction details.
Although we can add it as a custom output that will only show the ID which is of limited value to staff.

Checkin Lost Item as Damaged
If an item has a "lost" status, and is returned damaged we are unable to change the status to "damaged" via the check-in damaged option (must be in/out for damaged check-in to be used). This would be helpful for situations where the patron returns an item that was declared lost (either automatically by being +30 days overdue or manually) and then later found and returned to the library via drop box, to be able to demonstrate the item was returned damaged with no previous poor condition notes on the item.

Automatically associate accounts when creating a new patron account with the Copy feature
I think it would be helpful to automatically create an association between accounts when creating a new account by copying an existing one, e.g., using a parent's account to create a child's account. The Block and Allow options should still be checked manually, though.
The association could be removed after account creation, if necessary.15 votes -
Remove Pop-up about holds on shelf when checking out Holds
Currently, if I am checking a hold to a patron, there is a pop-up letting me know there are holds to check out. I would like that to not pop-up if the barcode I have scanned is one of the holds I am currently checking out. It is fine if it's not one of the holds, or the hold is at another location, but it is frustrating when I already have the holds in front of me.

Title Displayed on "Item is Held" Notification
When checking out a stack of items via RFID pad, LEAP will only display the held item's patron's name and barcode. It would be helpful to have the item's title and/or barcode, so we may capture the hold without going through each item individually.

More information on ILL
On the information page for an ILL, there should be the ability to see what staff have interacted with the ILL or if a patron has made a change. We had an ILL get cancelled before it arrived to our library, but we can't tell if it was a staff initiation or a patron one. In the record for a regular item, I can see who has done what with a hold. This would be useful for follow up.

Allow offline Leap to show the patron name when their card is scanned
Please make it possible for offline Leap to display the patron name when their barcode is scanned for an offline checkout. This is available in toolbar offline, and I'm sure it would be tricky to configure, since Leap is browser-based, but we just used Leap offline for the first time during our latest upgrade, and the biggest comment I've received is the lack of the patron name during checkout.

Improve Visual UI of Leap screens
Many screens in Leap are awash with 1px borders, which make it difficult to visually distinguish different areas of the system because of the "noise".
While there are lots of ares for UI improvement across Leap, this one might be an easy win, as shown in the side by side screenshots.

Allow favicon to be set for leap as a staff visual cue
You can set the title bar color and the login message for Leap. However, it would also be nice to have the option to set the favicon so when you have a test, development, and production server open, you could use a favicon to more quickly distinguish between them in your open tabs.

Activate arrows on a keyboard
Whenever there are menus like "Yes", "no", "cancel", it would be nice to use arrows and enter buttons on a keyboard and not a mouse. Right now arrows don't work.
10 votesJust a quick note that because these are button elements, you can tab or shift+tab to move forwards and backwards between the options.

Add Call Number to Item Information on Account Tab
Staff are requesting that the call number be added to items that are billed on the account tab in the patron page. Right now, the main item information is Barcode/Title/Organization [branch] so they have to click to the item to see the call number when they do a shelf check. Adding the call number to this page will help staff work more efficiently by skipping having to look it up on another page.

Limit the shelf location drop-down menu in the item bulk change workform to the library
In item records, the shelf location drop-down menu only lists the shelf locations for the assigned branch or owning branch. However, the shelf location drop-down menu in the item bulk change work form lists the shelf locations for all libraries in the consortium. Many of these shelf locations are similar. It can make it easy to choose the wrong one by mistake. Here are some examples:
“Graphic Novel” vs. “Graphic Novels”
“Adult New DVD / Blu-ray” (with spaces) vs. “Adult New DVD/Blu-ray” (no spaces) vs. “Adult New DVDs/Blu-Rays.”The item bulk change workform should be updated so that the shelf…

Allow SSO logins for SimplyReports
Allow SSO logins for SimplyReports. Right now, staff who are SSO accounts only cannot log into SimplyReports. Leap and /PolarisAdmin support SSO and we'd like to be able to extend this to SimplyReports.
This prevents us from being able to fully adopt SSO at some locations because the staff can't create reports. This means we have to continue to hold onto and maintain less secure connections between networks, so these staff can run SimplyReports.

Ability to mark an item Missing from the Unclaimed Picklist.
Scenario:
1. An item that has been trapped and is (most often) sent from another library to fill a hold for pickup at another branch.
2. The Hold is put on the shelf for the customer at a branch.
3. After X days, it shows up on the Unclaimed list.
4. Staff go to the shelf to remove it, but it is not there.
5. Staff check the system - the item has not been checked out by anyone (sometimes customer are confused and think a hold is actually already checked out to them a la picking up an online…49 votes -
Bib-Level Multiple Holds
This is somewhat of an add-on to other improvement requests to the multiple holds feature. We would like to have an option for bib-level multiple holds. We have noticed that when teachers or book club leaders are placing the multiple holds and assigned to an item-level hold, they might get routed to a member library that doesn't frequently check their requests. This is absolutely a training issue, but we do see this a lot with our K-12 school libraries. We would like to see an option to put them in the queue as a bib-level hold where they will get…

Links to Public Access Catalogs from Leap Item Records
In Leap, links to web-based public access catalogs are only available through bib records. It would be convenient if they can also be made accessible through item records.

Improve Leap quick search for complex patron names
The Leap quick search could do a better job of searching Hispanic names. Often, patrons consider their first two names as given names, not as first and middle, which makes it difficult to search for them when they come in without their cards. For example, if I search for Luis Miguel Paco Sanchez using all four names, LEAP finds the patron. If I search for Luis Paco Sanchez or Luis + either last name individually, LEAP will not find the patron. If I search for Miguel Paco Sanchez, LEAP finds the patron. In this example, Luis Miguel is the first…

Allow for customization of the Notification preferences dropdown in PAC self-registration
In order to require patrons who are self-registering via the PAC to choose a notification preference, please remove the 'none' option from the Preferences dropdown, or at least allow for the option to customize what appears in the Preferences dropdown. By removing 'none' - or allowing for the option to remove it - patrons would effectively be required to provide a notification method, which would allow the library they are self-registering with to easily contact them should any problems arise with their application.

Provide export option for hold unclaimed from Picklist
This would enhance staff ability to isolate items requiring action, particularly when unscheduled closures impact hold until dates and for special programs that have different parameters.
