Ability to Edit Automated Purchase Order Numbering
I would like to have the ability to edit the "Last Used Purchase Order Number" field. I have a FY** prefix attached to each PO I create and would like to restart the numbering at 1 at the beginning of each fiscal year. Currently, our Site Manager has to reset it for us.

Simply Reports should run missed scheduled jobs
If there is an issue with a scheduled Simply Reports job, it must be rerun manually. This includes problems with the SQL Job Polaris scheduling executive. For example, if one report takes longer than 30 minutes to run, the scheduling executive won't allow another instance of that SQL job to start, causing reports to be missed. Additionally, reports can be missed if the server is offline for a variety of reasons including during upgrades. Simply Reports should check the last run date for the report and reschedule it if the elapsed time is greater than the scheduled interval.

Alert Sound Effect
I'm guessing Leap being web-based makes this difficult to outright impossible but a warning sound effect for Leap's modal alerts would be nice.
Something like:

Lost and Deleted Items
Today I helped a customer who had three Lost (and billed) items on her account. The items were all designated as Deleted as well. She claimed that she had returned two of the three items through our Automated Materials Handler (AMH) some time ago. The items were set to lost in 2022. The third item she had and returned today. This item having been deleted shows up in Leap as a "no matching record" (NMR) item. UPC Output in "Holds" Reports of Simply Reports
We often use the "Holds" reports of Simple Reports to watch demand on titles - especially the Hold Count report. It would be very helpful if UPC could be one of the output columns, so that we could copy it for media, which doesn't always have an ISBN in the vendor MARC.
Right now we have to output the bib record id, copy it and search in Polaris, then copy the UPC from there.11 votes -
Need permission to turn off Damaged Feature in Polaris 7.5
The Damaged feature in Polaris 7.5 was implemented without a permission to enable libraries to turn it off if they prefer their existing procedure. Because we can't turn it off and we have several hundred staff members, many new, all of whom do not have all our procedures memorized, some of the staff now use the Damage feature. This means that we now need a report to catch these transactions and extra staff time to undo them. To try to mitigate, we changed the string "Damaged" to "Do not use". When patron barcode changes, auto-update with Libby
Currently when a patron replaces their library card and gets a new barcode, staff have to manually reconnect them with their Libby account, which is connected to their old card number. This update should be automated so that patrons who lose their library cards don't also lose access to Libby or other eResources. I'm not sure if this would require an update to the API (?)

Dated patron notes
It would be very useful for patron notes to automatically include date and time - this would allow us to track "updates" to progressive situations with patrons that multiple staff are addressing.

Add ability to enter a reason when cancelling a hold
Currently, patrons receive a default email message when their hold is cancelled. It would be great for staff to have the ability to enter a reason or write a brief message letting the patron know why their hold was cancelled.

Add Rapid Receipt to Leap
Currently, there is only one way to receive and invoice orders in Leap. This workflow consists of receiving the line item from the purchase order and copying it to the invoice. In the Client, staff have the option to use a more efficient process called Rapid Receipt. Rapid Receipt allows line items to be received and copied to the invoice at the same time. Limit online registration by geographic location
Please allow libraries to limit online registrations by their selected geographic location (state, county, city, zip code, etc.). We have too many people signing up that are outside our location and then using the resources which eats up our budget thus robbing our true patrons from their share of the resources.
We currently have to comb through the registrations and find the "out of area" one and manually delete them. Would be better to prevent them in the first place. Never goodwill to give and then have to take away.
This will help Library staff and Library patrons.

Polaris transactions will "run out" of space due to being an "int" data type
The Polaris Transactions database TransactionID is an int data type. This 2,147,483,647 means the biggest number supported by the database. In our busy system, we're about halfway through the available TransactionIDs as we're about to reach 1 billion. This field should be moved up to a bigint data type. Otherwise inserting new data will fail.

Picklist Sorting Default
When sorting by a column, then choosing an item and hitting located, it resets the sort back to the default.
This is not ideal at our larger locations who may be pulling dozens of items at a time.

Create Bibliographic Record Sets from Weeding Record Sets
Working with the weeding-type record set workflow in an attempt to streamline, we have found the absence of an option to create a Bib record set from the available actions takes us a rhetorical two steps back from before (when we weeded via item record sets). Once the items have been withdrawn, we now have to go through each withdrawn item's record to their respective bibs, to uncheck "Display in PAC". It would be nice to add a "Display in PAC" uncheck in the Weeding template creation - however, it would need an added function to alert staff of bibs…

Allow Google as a sign-in method for Staff Accounts
In addition to Single Sign-On (SSO) support for Microsoft Azure and ADFS, please consider support for Google Workspace. We recently migrated all of our email for our consortium (42 members) to Google and would greatly benefit from the ability to use the already signed-in information to authenticate into Leap. See screenshots for a design/concept mock-up.

Create tool to generate SSO settings files
I realize this is niche, but if you go to set up SSO in your environment, heaven help you. My crew just got through a week of getting things set up. There were 3 of my employees and at least 1 Innovative support staff and 1 Innovative dev involved all week. I can't imagine the amount of $$$ that was burned in hourly staff time getting it going. And of course the good news is that an upgrade or server move could break it all again! Some of the documentation is wrong and some of the transcribing of the data…

Improvements to 7.4 Item Language Field
Currently, the new 7.4 item language field is using the same Languages table used in patron registration. For patron records, the language preference field displays in their account in PowerPAC. Patrons use this field to select their preferred notification language.
If a library wants to add a new language to the Languages table, it will be added as an option for both item records and patron accounts. This is problematic, because many libraries purchase materials in far more languages than they offer notices in. Change $ amount in POLI
At times our vendors send us a substitution for the item we ordered. It would be helpful to be able to change the dollar amount in the POLI when this happens so that the encumbered funds accurately reflect what is on order.
