Holds on items with volume control
In the PAC, when the volume field had an entry for one item on a bib record, all items would still show up for the patron to choose from. However, in Vega Discover, it will appear that all items are available to place a hold on, but once the user starts the hold request process, ONLY the item(s) with a filled volume field is given as an option to choose from. This has caused a substantial increase in broken holds and a holds bottleneck, as records with filled volume fields supersede records with unfilled volume fields when holds are placed.

Account portal: make Holds and Checkouts icons clickable
Make the two large purple icons, not just the text below them, link to their sections. Especially on mobile, this would be more user friendly. I find myself expecting them to be buttons. Some patrons may have to zoom in to accurately tap the text links.
It could be the icons or even the entire rectangular boxes and everything in them.

Spacing shouldn't affect searching in Korean
In many cases, the character spacing we use when cataloging in Korean is not the same as the character spacing someone searching in Korean will use, even though the meaning is the same in these cases despite the differences in spacing. The spacing we use when cataloging is dictated by Library of Congress rules, however, a Korean speaker won't know those rules and will type the search in the way that makes sense to them.

Display copies in Available statuses first in location drawer
When multiple copies of an item are assigned to the same library branch, the location drawer appears to list them in order of item record ID within the same location (this is also the case in our classic Polaris PAC, not sure how it is in Sierra). We have had feedback from front-line staff that they would like to see copies in Available status listed first, with copies in other statuses listed below. This reasoning makes a lot of sense to me. Display subfield c from 520 in summary
Currently, the summary from the 520 field is displaying on the full resource card and dynamically updating by format, which is great. However, the subfield c is hidden, so anytime there is a subfield c present, there are simply two dashes at the end of the summary, suggesting that there might be something missing or cut off (which there is, in fact). Can the subfield c please be displayed along with the summary?

Thrilled to be able to create showcases in Vega Discover using ILS lists!
The lists seem to automatically sort to newest title first. We'd like to be able to maintain the sort order from the record set or have sort options once added as a showcase.

Allow Partial Payments of Fines
Vega Discover allows patrons to choose individual fines they would like to pay but doesn't allow a patron to pay simply a set amount of their fines. Patrons would sometimes like to just pay a portion of their fines that will allow them to continue using the library. Add a feature that lets the patron enter the fine amount they want to pay of their total and have that portion deducted from their total fines.

Prevent SHR information displaying under title
We need a way to prevent serial holding record information from displaying in the work card. SHR info is very useful when looking at an individual library's location drawer, but since it can differ from library to library in our consortium is often incorrect when displayed under the shared title. An example is Vogue magazine. Not all of our libraries limit circulation on the current issue, nor do they all keep two years of issues. Support for multiple ADs for Vega User Management
Self-hosted Polaris Customers who have Vega Discover can allow a connection between their Polaris installation and Vega Discover for the purpose of using existing AD staff accounts for Vega user management. Currently, only one AD is supported. In consortia, there may be multiple ADs (e.g., in our environment, we have four).
We'd like there to be support for multiple ADs so consortia can benefit from the convenience of using AD credentials to access Vega Discover.

Add a "view all" option to the Site Configuration page in the Library Defaults menu
In a consortium environment the admin staff will often have to make changes to every library in its system. Having the option to view all the libraries in one page instead of 10 at a time. The addition of having the option to "open in a new tab" when right-clicking the Edit button under actions would be helpful as well to keep organized as the current system of going back to the Library Defaults page can sometimes cause confusion when navigating back to the next library.

Changes to Vega Passthrough Search
In Vega Discover, when executing a passthrough search, the external link icon is used as a button. This UI is confusing to patrons, who are expecting the catalog name to be the link or looking for a button that looks more like the other buttons on the page.
When the passthrough search only has one option, the option is a link, and that behavior is preferred. Add default collapsed view or "don't show this again" option for featured available titles display in My Bookshelf
The planned/upcoming feature (as of January 2025) to add the ability to filter My Bookshelf lists by item availability is a nice addition. However, in looking at the preview, staff have expressed concerns that some patrons may find the carousel display of featured available titles too much, as a common theme we hear in feedback about the My Bookshelf feature in general is that there is too much scrolling and clicking involved to navigate it. enhance URL linking to include Syndetics lexile/reading level filters
I received the following from a school superintendent in our service area, and I think this would be a beneficial enhancement to Vega for students and school staff:
We store the Lexile level in our local student information system. This means that pretty easily, we could show the parents their kid's level, then link to the two local library districts with some instructions on how to filter and search. Integrate The Palace Project into Vega
We recently joined The Palace Project and would love to have the items in those collections searchable and findable in our catalog in the same way that our Overdrive books are currently integrated, rolling up with other editions and requestable directly in the catalog. Ideally this would extend to LEAP as well so we could see the records alongside all the rest.
It's especially helpful for the more popular titles that the state library also has copies of or for niche titles only they have purchased. This would include both Palace Bookshelf items and Palace Marketplace items.

Allow patrons to build alerts (email/SMS) based on Vega search filters
Integrate into Vega the capability for patrons to create their own notifications using advanced search filtering. For example, patrons could choose to receive a text through IPA:SMS whenever a specific author releases new material at our library. Additionally, they could opt to receive a weekly email with a predefined search filter, such as Availability (At Library), Format (Book), Collection (Adult Non-Fiction), New Material (This week), focusing on the topic "Nature".

Content Scoping -> Limit Content -> Limit By Collection list should list the collections alphabetically. Not sure how they are currently sorted, but it is currently difficult to select these in a consortium setting.

Auto-populate Patron Email in Share/Email Modal
Currently, when a patron is logged into Vega Discover and uses the Share/Email function, the email field remains blank. While some mobile browsers offer "autofill" suggestions, web browser users must manually enter their email address for every individual item they wish to share.
We suggest that the "Email" field in the Vega Discover Share modal automatically populate with the authenticated user's email address from their account record.
